Moved from owning an F90 M5 (had for 3 years from new) to a new G80 M3 xdrive , the V8 sound in the M5 is fantastic and point to point the M5 is quicker , still the G80 M3 has brutal acceleration and feels more planted , both great cars.
Can you go into more detail on that? I'm ready to upgrade from my RCF after 8 years and really can't decide between X drive G8x and M5.

@@originaljunglist93depends what you want. In terms of comfort & luxury we all know the m5 takes it. But if you’re looking for a more agile and lighter car + wanting to mod the car, even though i’d prefer an m5 the m3 is a better platform. Like he said it’s more planted so if your looking for more spirited driving thats the car you want. Not to say you can’t do that with an m5 because bone stock it kills 99% of the cars on the road including the m3 & sounds way better.
@originaljunglist93 F90 with stage 1 tuning makes ~720hp. With downpipe, it'd be almost if not 800hp. 100-200kph in less than 7 seconds. It's fast, but it's not as agile as a Mclaren.

it felt like he was more impressed with what is xDrive with power can do than exactly difference between g80 and f90. Because that is deabate i have righ now since both of tham can be found 3 years used under 27k miles for $75k which i think M5 is a better deal since it depreciated more than g80 from out of the door price
The F90 has more luxuries and features… but the G80 can be made to be faster due to weight
i test drove both m5 xdrive and m3 xdrive, i would say m5 given been heavier definitly made up that with the v8 and more power and torch. The feel when sitting in is more refined and sound of engine and turbo is more raw and natural. In straight line even though on paper may appear close with m3 but definitely feel more quicker than that. And when gets to higher speed the power dont cap out where as m3 with the v6 sounds alot more sinthetic and starts to cap out after reaching 150. However price level is alot more with m5 so affordability is whats makes people choose m3 over m5

Im looking at an 2019 M540i and a 2019 M550i. I can only imagine how it feels to drive an M3 or M5. Lol.
You can get those cars almost as fast in a straight line but the Ms are different in driving feel and cornering

How big is the difference in strident line speed between an F90 M5 and a G80 xDrive comp? Stock vs stock? The numbers on the G 80 look like it’s very close to the F 90 - especially 1/4 mile…. I’m assuming if you compare 100-200 and other rolling starts then the F90 would pull on a G80… but not sue how badly?
Stock for stock the F90 would be slightly quicker… we are talking 1-3 tenths….
The real question is, would he trade his M3 for a M5?
I don’t think so, he would just get Xdrive G80
Just getting advice, F90 M5 2018 used (even good condition) price is less than G80 M3 , roughly 5k-10k USD, how do you think which you would choice?
Depends on what you want in a car. If you want the more comfortable car than get M5. If you can the better handler, get the M3
i recently drove a G82 M4 comp as well as a F90 M5 and in my humble opinion, the M5 is a better car. The m4 was a land yacht and the trans tuning in the M5 was much more refined.
The M5 is the ultimate luxury sports car. Not many cars can beat it
