Nice video, ive only just started playing Nolvus a few days ago, and i dont think i could ever touch vanilla again. Massive shout out to the nolvus team for making a stable modlist that touches literally everything and still maintains a good level of vanilla charm. Can pass on the underwear and wenches though, but i guess it has something for everyone 😅
@@nathanreiber6819 if you get to play for longer then 2-3 hours without crashing, then that is quite the achievement. and would usually be considered pretty good for a heavily modded save. before the whole modpacks were a thing, i used to frequently mush mods together in the creation kit, in order for my game to crash less. shit took hours to do. to the point where sometimes, id get the elder scrolls blues. but then instead of playing, id end up spending 16 hours getting 400 mods to smoothly work togheter. and when i finally got them working togheter, id go to sleep to play the game the next day.
I love how Tullius’s new armor looks like Tiber Septim’s armor (worn by Martin Septim) from Oblivion. The design just slaps in the best conceivable way.
Nice video, keep it up! Pretty sure Helgen is part of Falkreath by the way. Always felt like Balgruuf should have cared more about Helgen otherwise, considering he reacts so concerned to the people of Riverwood just being near the event.
Thanks for this one dude! I've seen a few vids of this, but they had weird cinematic camera presets that made the game look near unplayable. This is just using True Directional Movement right?
It uses a couple of mods for movements but I’m not sure which ones. There is a list of mods and they are categorized on the website listed in the description. I actually usually play in first person but with those movement mods it’s much better feeling in third person from my experience. I hope you try out the mod pack and let me know how you feel about!
Great vid dude. You using a special mod for controller or does the mod pack have it built in? I love using controller but feared there would not be enough buttons on the controller for Nolvus.
I have been just plugging in and playing with the controller. I know that I haven’t been able to figure out the dark souls like roll, but I find I don’t need it too bad. Everything that I have tried works well and I would feel confident telling you to try it exclusively with a controller.
Thank you. I was just about to type something similar but I wanted to check and see if someone else asked this question and was answered before I did so.
It is amazing that it has 2,000 mods. I greatly respect and appreciate all the work they put into it. FYI, it creates a 1.5.97 install and doesn't use the one in Steam. No big deal. I was able to add some of my fav mods to it. Just took me a few hours to figure out why I was getting some compatibility errors. At first, I was really confused how some of its mods were working with 1.6.117, well, they weren't, duh. What's the specs on your rig?
Truly an amazing project that they created. At the time of filming I had a ryzen 5600x and a Radeon RX 6950 XT. Runs pretty good just recently upgraded to a ryzen 5700x3d. Also with 32gb of RAM.
Heh great to see so many ppl picking that modpack up. But how did u manage to get the standard start working? Just deleting alternative start? i always thought the hard script starter scene will get the horses flying if u start it with heavy modpacks
There is actually an option on install that allows you to disable alternate start and I didn’t have really any graphic anomalies on start up. One thing is it does take a minute to load all of the animations sometimes which depends on the speed of the drive you have it installed on. Overall though it’s a great collection of mods!
There is a lower setting on the installer but it recommends at least a gtx 1080. Luckily used GPU prices aren't bad right now. I for sure recommend this mod list down the road if you are interested!
I can’t remember the exact wording but it is the second highest quality preset and I am playing at 1440p. Later in the series I down scale the rendering which is done in the settings of the instance. I did that just to make sure I had more fps to consistently get above 60.
I am playing in ultra and my pc specs at the time of recording this a 5600x and a rx 6950 XT. I’m also playing at 1440p and overall runs well. There are spots of lag just due to the number of characters on screen.
what gameplay settings are you using from nolvus? it seems like you are using alternative leveling at least and alternative start is off? how about hardcore mode and others?
I’m playing with only alternate leveling and I have everything else disabled. I wanted to keep it fairly simple and the survival stuff can get really boring. I also have fantasy animations on too.
When installing the pack there is an option to disable or enable alternate start. That is where you will want to look. Hope you enjoy Nolvus it is a ton of fun!
In this video I was playing at the second highest graphics settings. I believe it is the performance variant. I have a 5700x3d cpu and a 6950 XT GPU. Runs well enough but there is a lot of variation based on where you are in Skyrim.
In the dashboard when you are installing it make sure you don’t select alternate start. If you don’t select alternate start you will get the normal start to Skyrim.

So true they did a very good job on the collection! I recommend this to anyone who wants to pick up Skyrim for the first time in 2023.
Is it really stable for you? Crashes frequently for me.
In about 80 hours of my last playthrough, it crashed 3 or 4 times, but that's okay. My self-made modlist, based on S.T.E.P. crashed far more😂

Time to raise a family!!! or several! :D:D:D
I've searched TH-cam for a let's play of nolvus, and yours has been the best. Instant sub. I'm looking forward to the rest.
That means a ton! Thank you and welcome aboard!

Oh it’s sick as hell for sure!

It is.
I just decided to start My first Skyrim experience with the Nolvus mod pack and I can already tell watching along with your videos will be dope!
So hyped you’re starting it! Nolvus is a great experience lmk how you like it!
Great video. You have made Alan Moore, the writer for Watchman, Swamp Thing and others. He actually considers himself a wizard.
hey just found your channel loving the skyrim keep it up
Thank you! Another video coming in a couple days!
23:30 lmao im more afraid of giant spiders than snakes, i dont mind snakes haha
Out of all the Skyrim games I've played, I have never played Imperial. Always helped the underdog.
Skyrim games? Hahahaha. The Elder Scrolls. Fixed it for you.
Great vid , looking forward to see more 👍
Really enjoyed this
I need this so bad man
I started my play through yesterday and I opted for the non traditional unbound start 😊
I did that on my second Nolvus play through! Hope you are enjoying the pack!
Helgen is part of the Whiterun hold
Great series dude!
This is making me want to try out this Nolvus modlist.
Do itttt!!!
Well, I did. Made a high elf going for a spellblade. There are so many weapon types though, I will probably make other characters to try them out.
Spell blade is the best way to play the game.

Twould love to see a ultra modded bg3 series
Might just have to make it happen 👀
I didnt even realize you could use the original start lol
I subscribed for more Skyrim and hope to join a Live if you do one.
I’m hoping to soon!

@@roleplayinglab ty for the fast answere :)
I'm not a huge fan of the combat system, or the mods used for the college of winterhold. But otherwise I'm enjoying it a ton
Just downloaded this sooo excited! Having issues with UI on inventory menu though😢.
You might be able to find a solution on their discord channel or on their website.
If it the over size UI..I down loaded SkyUI patch for ultra wide 3840x1080 and fixed mine for 5120x1440 so i could see the whole menu
Man I wish I had your PC. I still play Skyrim on medium settings without graphics mods😂
There is a lower setting on the installer but it recommends at least a gtx 1080. Luckily used GPU prices aren't bad right now. I for sure recommend this mod list down the road if you are interested!
loved it!
Nolvus was an absolute lifesaver after Bethesda updated the game and ruined my precious modlist 😢
Our savior Nolvus provides in our time of need! 🙏
Great video. Love to see a mage play through with nolvus. Can I ask which enb preset you used?
I’m pretty sure I used the first enb that is autofilled when installing.

please elaborate on the "mad" part, like is the character constqantly angry or am i missing something?
Which variant of the mod are you using? Are you playing at 1440p or 1080p?

I just installed it yesterday but im having issues with the leveling is not the same
There is an option when installing to select alternate leveling. In my opinion I prefer standard leveling . Hope this helped 🙏
Is this Nolvus ascension
Yes! it's amazing there should be a link in the description above. Hope you enjoy it!
hi anyone that knows how to get vanlila start in novlus i just get skyrim unbound options?
When installing the pack there is an option to disable or enable alternate start. That is where you will want to look. Hope you enjoy Nolvus it is a ton of fun!
If you choose crossing the border you get the vanilla start anyway
Are you playing on redux? Whats your specs???

Yep!
how did you do the normal start ? on mine I can't find a way
In the dashboard when you are installing it make sure you don’t select alternate start. If you don’t select alternate start you will get the normal start to Skyrim.
Are you a nord? Or breton
Imperial actually. Even though they aren’t exactly good lol. 👍
what are your pc specs
Ryzen 7 5700x3d and a RX 6950 XT. Game runs well but in busy cities there are definitely frame drops.
Is this on console?
Unfortunately not. It uses the Skyrim Script Extender which is a PC-exclusive addition. Maybe one day it will but I wouldn't hold your breath.
