PIXY is back on track. Wasn't the biggest fan of CHOSEN KARMA, but this reminded me of the time I thought they were the biggest next thing in Kpop. They just seemed to be able to pull off everything they were asked to do. PIXY was never talked about as a vocal group, even when Ella was there, but their few ballads hit harder to me than groups with "better" singers/vocalists. aespa, for all their vocal prowess, have never been able to elicit the emotions in me that PIXY did with just Safety off of REBORN. I've legit teared up to that song. The Letter and PS seem to come from the same place, and it's powerful stuff. As much as I admire their talent, I was starting to question their artistic direction and future, but this mini, even under this confusing circumstances, have restored my faith in them. Now I feel like a fool. All AllArt needs to do is take good care of these girls, because PIXY is still one of the best groups out there.
I've been so busy I had no idea. Truth or Dare, easily my fave of the bunch. That said, it's a pass for me on this mini. It's just far and away from what I liked about PIXY.
I agree, these are very emotionally driven ballads and it’s really nice to hear from them. Truth or Dare is right up the synth-pop alley that has been driving the group, and I’m all for it! Hoping they have more of an official comeback soon, and that their European tour brings in some profit for them all!
