    Senko. You can fish anytime of year and you can catch fish by dead sticking it, you can rig it wacky style and try you luck that way, or cut it in half and fish it like Ned rig. There have been days when I have brought every lure under the sun with me and all I needed was bag a green pumpkin Senkos. It gets bit when nothing else is working. It has to be one of most versatile lures.

    My go to is the repel 4" minnow. No matter how bad a fishing day is, I pull that out and I am saved.

    My just 1 would be a c-rig, it’s so versatile with weights anywhere from 1/4 to 1 1/2 oz and soft baits anywhere from 4” to 12”. Go to is 1 oz and watermelon red lizard with chartreuse dipped tail.

    Good luck tomorrow!!!! You’re rocking it so far. Just got a bunch of mini-flip jigs and mini D chunk trailers based on this video. They look sweet! Can’t wait to try em out as soon as ice breaks up a bit here up North.

    I am a French angler and I use the jigs all year round for catch pikes , bass and giant Catfishs. This is one of my go-to lures for winning competitions. I use the Cashion frog Rod in mag-hvy to get those big fish out.

    I think a green pumpkin shaky head would be my choice

    toss up between a senko style bait(any size/weightless) or a texas rig(with weight and soft plastic but preferably a ribbon tail worm).

    Back in the day , Bob Troxxel a very good BASS regional angler used a small white Spinnerbait in Ohio ! Do believe he made it close to the Six Man Team !

    In Louisiana where I'm from that D Bomb is hands down the best and only bait I need. Bruzer flash, bruzer or my favorite being bayou special.

    @buzzworth2396 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hands down a jig!!!! Been a staple for too many years and proven it's power time & time again. You can change it to be really compact or fully dressed out and not trimmed and I can't even begin to mention all the modifications. Next to that, my pick would be a worm. Both are very deadly year round

    Jig hands down!

    If I could only have one- well if I'm basing that on what would come through the most cover the best- be the most versatile- I would have to agree- the jig wins hands down- plus it's big fish catcher. I'd probably go 3/8ths instead of half ounce, I fish shallower water most of the time.
    But- if I'm basing it on what I've caught the most fish on- the one thing I seem to always be able to get bit on somewhere in the lake, river, pond I'm fishing- a 1/4-ounce underspin with a gold blade and a 3-inch keitech in sungill. No idea why, maybe because bluegill is so prevalent where I fish- but man this always gets bit. It's even over taken the ned rig as my favorite finesse presentation that I have the most confidence in. Last time I fished Pickwick it was all I could get bit on but, I had a good day with it- I switched to a silver blade and a shad-colored swimbait, the deps frilled shad- and they tore it up. Largemouth, small mouth, skip jack, crappie, even catfish hit it. The biggest I got on it that day was a 5-pound Smallie and the smallest was an 8-10-inch skip jack so- all sizes eat it.

    Love a 3/8 blk/blu jig with a bruiser flash D-Bomb as a trailer the whole thing it's a big profile but gets bit in the spring of the year flippin wood, docks, an grass edges.. It gets big bites 💣

    Can we just call this video a tribute to Denny. Personally I'd be pulling a worm on a Carolina rig but yeah the jig is a weapon.

  • @toddlester8063
    @toddlester8063 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Mine would be a ned rig for sure. Given I fish a variety of water, including ponds, and sometimes with my son - a ned rig just catches fish all the time, any type of water, any depths, etc. It's boring - but if I was able to only use one lure for a year, that would be it.

      Yes. A jig is my constant go to. I keep a huge supply on hand at all times. I know the bite can sometimes be slower but the quality is always better in my experience.

    If I was any good with a jig then yeah it would mane perfect sense as it can go anywhere and anytime and get the job done. But I’m a crank bait guy. Sounds like I need to learn and use a jig more often!!

    I'd have to say a watermelon trick worm. I can do so much with it: wacky, weightless, shakeyhead, tx or c rig, neko rig, ned rig or even dropshot it
