The Cheska,Binky and Ollie seasons were peak Made in Chelsea. Im sorry she had such a negative experience but I hope it brings her some joy knowing she entertained so many of us and have such good memories of that time when the show was at its best.
Cheska was badly treated by the show...she was older and although beautiful, she did not have the artificial, adolescent anorexic kind of beauty worshipped by the show. She was cast as the very nice but bland friend of the group which was very sad as she was the most authentic. Good on Cheska for evolving and moving on
I didn't percieve her like that at all and I watched MiC from the veey first episode. Cheska, Binky, and Ollie were the absolute best, and also Mark Francis, of course ❤️
I’ll never forget the “fat turkey” moment. Me and my housemates would sit down to watch MIC together, we called it ‘MIC Thursdays’, always laughing and gossiping about the show over some wine. When that scene aired we were gobsmacked and speechless. We never watched it in the same fun-loving way again. To this day, whenever I see Victoria, it’s all I can think about. I hope Cheska knows that yes it’s always used as a top moment or top argument scene etc on instagram and stuff but that’s because everyone thought of it as a so shocking, unjustified and an unforgivable action, not because people love to re-see it or think it was entertaining. The nation was team Cheska, she was always one of the warmest cast members, you just knew she was even without knowing her personally. I hope whenever she sees the scene, she knows it shocked the viewers and nobody thought “oh, great TV, can’t wait for more of that next episode”, we were outraged and didn’t understand why it was even able to air.
What an impressive, smart, articulate and interesting women. To work in PR,TV and start her own business, and have incredible success. She was portrayed very differently on the show. So happy she found the life that is right for her.
She was so too nice and human for that show. I remember when she was called fat by Victoria (who honestly looks like she had an ED,) so absurd Cheska was never close to being remotely fat. I know the posh/private schools kids have a lot of anorexia. And I understood why after that TV moment, horrible xxx
I always liked Cheska. She always came across so grounded and just a sweet girl. The fat turkey comment was just awful. The girl who called her that seems like a bully through and through. So happy to see Cheska living her dream life ❤
Brilliant interview! Cheska is so grounded and the body shaming is disturbing and disgusting! She looks great! The power of the media is simply vile… Cheska is amazing!
the revelations about made in chelsea are so interesting and I'm so impressed with Cheska. I'm a big fan of the show, but at the same time, i see why so many of the cast don't look back fondly on their time on the show and had very bad mental health effects from it. also talking about that scene with Victoria f*t shaming her, that was one of the worst scenes I've ever seen on tv and didn't understand why they kept that scene in. it's just horrendous and to be re-traumatized by it when it aired is such a shame. also the story about prince harry is so funny because I remember that always being part of write-ups about Cheska, that she once dated prince harry and it's so hilarious that she explains how such silly rumors like that come about. great interview!
Vistoria was a horrible person then very fake, if you remember reunion show when suddenly all that posh accent mask dropped and she started calling someone names using the worst swear words
This is the story of middle and upper middle class privelige that I myself snd most other people have never experienced. Ive briefly entered this world when I used to date a girl from Chelsea, and all of her friends and family looked down their noses at me because of my working class background and accent.
that MIC dinner party scene was the most shocking thing i've ever seen aired on reality tv. the vim/venom in the way it was said was just awful. i've never seen that person in the same light again. cheska was always the most authentic, and it never seemed like she fitted in with the rest of the MIC crowd, i mean that in a positive way. good on her for doing what was right for her.

That show always seemed v fake and toxic, worshipping narcissism and class privilege. Cheska seems down to earth, good for her in changing her life to feel happier again.
Binky dumped her like a hot potato, was harsh. That must have been incredibly hurtful. They were close friends. Cheska was too nice and real for her!! Binky is pretentious and was desperate to be friends with other girls on the show, with no regard for her long term friend.
@@sams3015 Not so much of a fall out, Binky ended the friendship out of nowhere. Cheska did nothing to deserve it. It was like Binky seemed to think Cheska was holding her back from getting in with other cast members, ie Rosie and Louise Thompson.

These faceless producers really are unhinged. I feel they should face repercussions whether civil or even criminal, one day. There are some real horror stories out there. Kirk Norcross’s stories were particularly horrendous.
I loved watching Made in Chelsea in the beginning because the characters reminded me of people I'd known at uni. They called Chelsea people Sloanes back then which was officially short for Sloane Ranger but at my university it just meant anyone with a posh public school accent. Cheska always seemed genuine to me. I remember at one point in the beginning they seemed to be implying that she was interfering and meddling in someone else's situation but to me it just looked like she was trying to help a friend and really cared about them.
Great interview, what a genuinely lovely woman Cheska is. So happy her life has worked out and she's happy and settled at home in Devon. Always one of the nicest characters in Chelsea, so sorry it wasn't a great experience for her. Wishing her all the best for her future.
Crazy that her & Binky were friends before the show as I remember Binky ditching cheska for the more popular characters and turning on her a bit. Looking back she was treated so badly😢
You’re a very beautiful woman, I did watch the show when that comment was made and it was awful Victoria was always being horrible to you I could never understand why as you are such a beautiful person but I think she was nasty all the time to people and what goes round comes around and look at her now and look how happy and amazing you are ,just says it all so glad to hear your doing so well and happy😊 I haven’t watched the show in such a long time and will never watch it again😊
Cheska was never right for the show and tried to be somewhere that wasn’t meant for her doing something that wasn’t who she was around people who weren’t her people. A better question is why she sought that out then struggled on. I’m not condoning it. She was very obviously not particularly liked. Felt like schoolgirl mean stuff. Found her inauthentic because she was trying to mimick and fit in with that crowd who were mostly hideous. The people were élitist pampered snobs. It’s who and how they were raised to be. Social media was horrible then for hate, in the way it is now, that’s human nature: jealousy and resentment squared. Binky learned to play the game better and distanced herself from - and ditched cheska - in the process. Edit: enjoying the interview of the women Cheska became. A shame to never see the real cheska but there wasn’t room for that on the show. A lesson about staying away from places and people that aren’t right for you. Glad her mum literally pulled her out. Very sorry to hear of her biological dad’s passing. Level headed even then for the experiences she’d had before MIC.
Cheska was my favourite character in Made in Chelsea, shes so wonderful and earnest. I also really felt for her, the way some of the more catty characters, like Victoria, spoke to her was horrible but it also showed us the more ugly side their personalities
I did a MIC rewatch recently and Cheska came across really well and Binky was a really shit friend. Binkys lack of confidence was interpreted as kindness, but both Cheska and Lucy were there for her way more than she was ever for them.
@@RalphBrookes-m9r yeah, it was heartbreaking to see Binky rejecting Cheska after all they had been through together. I do partially wanna give Binky the benefit of the doubt because they were so young, but it doesn't seem like they even rekindled the relationship later, and that reflects poorly on Binky.
Victoria’s baby daddy was jailed for fraud for the first few years of their daughter’s life. She pretends like it’s a joke because it was “just a white-collar crime” 🙄
What Made in Chelsea showed us was that those at the Elite end of the social class system, the upper class and the upper middle class keep to their own bubble 99.9% of the time, minus when Professor Green married Millie McIntosh, however that ended anyway and she reverted back to dating the posh men she usually went for. I used to hate going through Chelsea from my council estate in Wandsworth to get to Central London because you saw all of of this wealth, elitism and privelige that you had absolutely no access to because of the way you spoke and your background, and even if you became new money, you would never be truly accepted.
I find it weird people in shows always speak badly of it but profit from the fame they got from it... weird to me like bashing something that you then never stop talking about and piggy backing off the fame it got you....
