The baby is happy and loved and has a beautiful family, the adoptive parents and birth mom have a healthy relationship, everyone is happy and good. What are you complaining about?
Ashley has talked about wanting to know the blessing of carrying a child(I hope and pray that she can someday experience this). Excited for them to grow their family. Best wishes!
I have feelings about this type of family dynamic because I am the sister of a brother of a different race being adopted by my parents and it's also always been an open relationship with his biological family. My brother (His name is Thyme) is white and Japanese adopted into my black and native American family and his mom and dad (who were 15 and 16 when Thyme was born) are both now a part of our family. Momma and daddy said people were hateful. There wasn't social media back then but they still heard all kinds of mean things. Even being kicked out of a church!! A church yall.. all because they allowed the teen mom to live with them during her pregnancy so she wouldn't be homeless (her parents kicked her out of their lives and home) but they brushed it all aside and did what they had to do. Growing up my brother always called his bio parents Shine and Sunny. That's who they were to all of us. When Thyme was 8 he said to momma one day why do we call them shine and Sunny when their names aren't that. Momma said cuz the day they became a momma and daddy was the first day they felt true light in their life and Shine and Sunny gave them that light by letting them love him forever. Thyme has always been the most amazing big brother and me and our other 3 siblings who are actually all the biological children of our parents adore our big brother. He was the first baby and after they were able to have that grief of not having a baby be healed by Thyme my mother's body was able to all of a sudden get pregnant. Shine and Sunny are truly lived by all of us and we're so very thankful for them. They adore all of us and to this day (32 years later) they are our family and we couldn't imagine life without them in it. ❤
I have a client who tried to get pregnant for 12 years! they adopted, after 2 yrs she got pregnant at 42. this happened to a roommates bff too; babies are miracles, they adopted, after a year or so, their hormones kinda fixed itself thru caring 😆
I am familiar with this family and have watched their channel and enjoyed a lot of their videos. Their son is being raised with so much love, he's so polite and beautiful. I don't understand how people have a problem with this, smh.
I agree. Unconditional love is what they are providing this beautiful child. It doesn't matter the color of any ones skin, it's about unconditional love period.
@@christopherbarge414 Sweetie, I don't have to go far to do that, I just have to look at my awesome dad who raised me to be fully aware of my black culture. Who educated himself about black history so that he could relate to his children in every aspect. The man plans more activities during BHM more than my mum. Stop being such a bloody hater. And pls, don't view this response as an invitation to any form of discourse. I recognise a lost cause when I see one, and I have neither the time nor energy to debate with someone who's already made up their mind to be ignorant. I will pray for you though. God bless!

@@christopherbarge414 I think you are wrong. In other adoptions the biological mother and their biological family is mostly unknown to the child and sometimes when they are grown up they want to find their birth mother but that is difficult. In this case the child have both his adoption as his biological family in his life and feels loved by both families. He is some lucky guy. As concerning the second baby .. there are reasons against and reasons in favor of Makayla carrying their baby . For the adults this will maybe be the emotional rolocoaster as Makayla is the tooo involved in this family ( they have to make sure everybody knows and keep the boundaries ) But for the two kids I think this is great . The kids will have a kind of same connection with these families and Gabriel ( not sure This is the correct name ) it is the best choice as doing so there is less chance for him to feel as he does not fit in, in his adopted family as he does not really belong there
The love and pure intention of this family is just beautiful and I’m so happy to see this because so many adoptive/foster children are in unfavorable situations and estranged from their biological families, we see this narrative far too often especially in the black community, so I’m here for more loving homes as this one! Not about race or color Love heals all❤
So lovely that Abreil will get a brother or sister. He will be an amazing big brother. What a beautiful strong family ❤❤. Don’t listen to the negative messages people you don’t need to waste your time with 🥰
I can’t help but feel Makayla has been swept along in what Ashley wants and isn’t really comfortable with it all as it is. (Nothing negative on Ashley there, I think she’s doing a fab job and really trying to be as supportive and inclusive as possible with Makayla) Totally agree it’s not the time though and I genuinely think even just from this interview Makayla having another child for them wouldn’t be the best thing for her. And sometimes in life you have to be a little selfish and look after yourself especially when you have other kiddos too x
@Rachel Kellett, I agree. I feel Makayla is still grieving somehow. As a mother, I appreciate the open adoption think but for Makayla to heal she need to limit her contact. It's ok to be involved but not too much
@@carolinagirl7 you are absolutely right and getting Makayla too involved is only rubbing her wound, she appears to have a lot of emotional attachment. She even tried detaching first six months but they kept pushing her to be so involved and she want to be aunty but they want the child to call her mummy? This is just too much of an emotional torture. They all mean well but they should do this the right way

I truly ❤and admire this Beautiful Compassionate Couple and they and they're children deserve to be happy without being worried about Hatter's. BS . Continuous Blessings to this blended FAMILY 😊
they can have an adopted child , but they CHOOSE to go on a press run about it & put a camera in that baby’s face every chance they get like “look world our son is black”
THE ROAD TO HELL IS PAVED WITH GOOD INTENTIONS!!! Just google, "were black gangs originally started with good intentions". These people may mean well, I DON"T KNOW, but they will raise this child to be one of two things, CONFUSED or a WHITE SUPREMACIST. NEITHER ONE OF THOSE IS GOOD FOR A "BM"!!!
Great advice about turning off the comments! Love this conversation definitely needed in today's climate wth families being constructed in a variety of ways
Kaylie you are an amazing woman and the family that adopted this baby is even more amazing I am a black woman and I just wish that other black women supported this woman the way she need to be supported Kayla you are amazing And so is his adopted mother and adoptive father congratulations to you all!
REVISIT THIS TWENTY YEARS FOM NOW WHEN ABRIEL IS EITHER CONFUSED AND SELF-HATING OR A STEPPING FETCHER WHITE SUPREMACIST! DON'T FORGET TO TELL HIM CONGRATULATIONS!!!
I think the elephant in the room isn’t being discussed. Which is the implication of colorlessness and not mentioning (on camera) the real hate which is the multilevel racism he will suffer in his life. It’s important to acknowledge that, to prepare him for it and to take steps to address it in the way most suitable for them. It’s great that they adopted him and he’s happy and healthy. Yet they definitely need to understand the difference between real hate and people not understanding or assuming they’ve adopted for the wrong reasons because of the insidiousness of racism.
They're not going to do that @Genuine Thoughts. They are all about white culture. No shade.. Just from my observation. Even though the Dad did that video where he is testing the baby to know the difference in people skin colors, he also did a video explaining that he wants his son to know what Jesus really looks like. Then he whips out a picture of a blond haired, blue eyed Jesus. What message will that give his "son" down the road after he's heard all his life that Daddy has white skin and you and Mama Kaylah have brown skin and then how people treat those two races in real life. Oh! But Jesus looks like me and has my skin color. It's all too much. Not to mention the fact that the Mom wants to use Kaylah as a baby making machine. *sigh Sorry for the rant....
@@bellladonna2071 I didn't even go looking for it. I think it popped up on my For You stream one day and I was SHOCKED! The world today is so phony. My problem is losing my temper and giving an opinion and always regret doing it because then stupid people run rampant. 🤣
@mari Anaya aren't they allowed to be a parents? So, they can't just do something without worrying about being perfect? Do you want them to get a manual on how to train a baby in the "Black way".... Lol.. "All about white culture" like he said... You can never be satisfied! They should train him the way they know how to and it is stressful to have to super think everything before doing it.. just to impress and not make viewers sad. He showed him a photo of Jesus and then what?? Blue eyed guy and then what? Making a mountain out of a molehills.. Train your child the way it should go... I didn't see in the colour it should be. If I adopt a white baby, I will have to go and take a course and study how to be the perfect black mother to a white kids and raise him from books ?
😀 I’m almost in tears , omg that child is the luckiest child to have have much love given to him , I don’t see color I see LOVE , and I have no doubt in my mind he’s gonna grow up wonderful ❤
This type of hate the couple gets is fucked up, but I personally think parents should not post young children (adopted or not) on social media for thousands to view. They aren't old enough to consent, its exposes them to predators, & it leaves a digital footprint that follows them throughout their life. But it also bothers me that the kids become a source of income for the parents which is a HUGELY concerning and has, as we've seen before, open children up to exploitation w/o any oversight or protection.
That’s what I’m thinking 🤔 they seem like decent ppl, but I can’t imagine growing up with ‘influencer’ parents. Although idk cause I used to love posting to YT (when it first started lol) as a kid online and my mom would post it on an account she made. Internet predators weren’t a thing people really knew or talked bout cause social media was new. We know bout that stuff now so there definitely is a thin line between exploitation and entertainment. Overall, I just wish there were more laws on making $ off your children online and where that $ is allocated and making sure they’re protected although there’s parents that make $$ of their kids doing movies and such. I even used to be in some commercials as a baby. My mom quit that cause she was scared bout my twin and I being taken advantage of 😅. Even in the 90’s, she knew bout how sketchy the entertainment industry can be when it comes to kids. Things just need to be safer and the minors need to come first in this situation !
This is a very complex situation … I think it’s probably easier while he’s little, but it will become more difficult as he explores his own identity in this family dynamic and in society … it’s not going to be easy… while I believe he is loved by all of these people … when hormones and consciousness come through it’s not going to be as “cute”
There’s so much nuance to adoption and the fact he is a different race adds tons of layers. I say all that to say I’m really seeing them learning and growing and WANTING to do thinks right. I think the willingness to learn and ask the questions is really the way to do it. I came from a broken home and aged out of foster care and all the things I’ve learned about adoption, my personal opinion is generally it isn’t the best for a child. There’s too many unknowns and these babies deserve the world. Their very first trauma is felt the minute they leave their mothers arms. This couple seems to get it with sharing him with his mom too. If all adoptions could be like this with everyone willing to put the best interest of the child first, I would 1000% be all for it. 😊 I have to say it is surreal to watch this after knowing she’s pregnant with her second baby right now!! ❤
You can see it in Makayla’s eyes…she seems mentally and emotionally disturbed because of all of the attention…which I’m sure people are constantly asking her why she gave up her baby. And I’m sure what she initially felt about distancing herself from Abriel, she probably still feels that way now. Regardless if giving up Abriel for adoption was the right for her to do…it’s a decision that she will most likely question for the rest of her life. And seeing him as often as she does could be a constant reminder of that.
I follow and support this loving family. ❤️ not sure if they should get a second child by the same person 🤔 but as long as they are okay with it then I'm happy for them.
I want Ashely to respect Makayla desire not to be Abriel's mother. Having him call her "Momma Kayla" when she doesn't want to be called that is kinda cruel. They need to be careful with Makayla's heart or she may end up resenting them too.
Yes. There's too much overstepping of boundaries in this situation. That's probably the wisdom of closed adoptions only sometimes it's the other side that oversteps or wants their baby back. Clearly she gets emotional just thinking about her baby but then seeing him with other people and still having him call her Momma is too much. smh
I told my adopted children that their birth moms are “Aunty So and So.” And the one birth mom who’s in our life also doesn’t refer to herself as mommy anything. I also don’t understand the mama mikayla thing. I know in the other video I saw she also said in it that she just wants to be called aunt, or sometimes just uses her name instead of putting mama in front of it.
As an adoptee, I would’ve been too confused & frightened having only a child’s level of understanding of birth vs adoption. The biggest question I had as a child, as did my adopted child, was can my “real” (term used in the 50’s) mama show up one day to take me away. It takes a mature mind to understand the concept even if it makes the adults feel better being open. I tried being a bit more open with the birth mother sending gifts, cards, etc, but had to undo many disappointments when those promised gifts didn’t pan out as promised. Then I stopped it to protect my child’s feelings because he was feeling angry & pushed away.
A lot of Europeans adopt carbonated beings and do them wrong however I have watched all of their videos from beginning to end and i adore this family for giving their baby a great life. I love this Asé!
2/1/2024 - a miracle occurred, and Ashley was able to conceive, Carrie, and give birth to her own daughter. The look of shock on her face when she realized she was pregnant… I was crying like I was in the room with her. 😂 Abriel is so in love with his little sister. God is good. Bless this beautiful family. ❤
The world now is cold and mean. Yet it feels so good to see there is warmth in the world. People don't understand about giving birth or adopting, yet who are we to judge those with open arms, willing to accept a child into a better world?
@@christopherbarge414 If he truly cares about the child, it doesn't matter about race. It's all about how much you love your child. To raise your child to be a racist is creating inside disgust of themselves. Hence racism is a sickness that is mental and then it becomes spiritual. Come on now...
Trying to get pregnant and carry a child (for YEARS) is easier said than done. It ruins you emotionally, BREAKS you. And cripples relationships. If they want to adopt another child, then thats their business. But don’t encourage a couple who has been in the trenches to return to war.
I love them , I seen how they treat that baby on tik tok it’s soo amazing how they don’t care if the baby is black white or anything they love him for him 😢❤
OMG...ONE OF MY FAVORITE FAMILIES!!!! THEY ARE LUCKY TO HAVE ABRIEL IN THEIR LIVES AND HE IS LUCKY TO HAVE THEM!!! AND LET'S NOT FORGET BABY MAMA MAKAYLA!!! ❤️
Big difference with this open adoption versus a closed adoption. Abe won't know the feeling of loss or the "hole" many adoptees feel until they find their birth family and that's the difference I see with this. Abe is the winner in this entire situation. Ashley and Steven have had their own baby and the family is wonderful.
just from description and the first 51 seconds, they need to either a) stop caring about what a few trolls think about their family or b) stop posting content. people are always going to have an opinion on what you do (I'm literally giving mine here lol) but if you aren't ready/willing to deal with that on a large scale, stop posting on a platform that will provide that. plus I already feel a type of way of family vlogging content and how it teeters on a thin line of child exploitation. put your kid first, you're exposing them to the internet and its a scary place they're a lovely couple and I wish nothing but the best for their family.
That thin line of child exploitation is 100% the reason why my children and grandchildren are not put on social media anything. Think of the sick minded peds and how they save vids of children to do something x ugly while looking at the vid or picture. The Shorts on YT use to have a save vid click. When A LOT...A LOT of vids and pics of children were reaching the high numbers of save, YT removed the save click. So happy they did. ❤🕊

My grandmother was a Foster mother for over 30 years and doing a time some of the kids came and gone but doing the time she was a foster mother they didn’t have contact with their biological parents so I really wonder it was it a good on their part to have a open adoption with the birth mother you have to question that! No matter what race the chili is you are adopting or fostering long as you get a demo love and care and caring for them then that’s fine
Whoever is able to offer true love to a child that is missing it should go for it and everyone else should mind their own business and as long as the child is doing well and most parents will have children of other race go out of their way to keep that child connected to their culture in some way, everything will be fine.
Not a damn thing that child will still know where he came from because the birth mother is involved…Ignore them they always bitching but they wasn’t gone adopt the child themselves…
I watch their videos a lot you can tell the baby is loved by his biological mother and both his adoptive parents . I hate the backlash they get …. Who cares about color when love has no color… my baby is mixed with white and looks white we get backlash as well and tht shit hurts …
I am an adoptee and was almost adopted by a white couple and I would’ve been fine with that because they ended up fighting to keep me in court but because my parents had been waiting for a baby girl trumped it all. LOVE! Is what ALL CHILDREN DESERVE (children in the foster care system aren’t ALWAYS placed with loving, caring and adequate families) that’s what LOT of people whom do not have their own children always want to instill and give to another child. It doesn’t matter what color they are. If the parents OR Mother decide this we should respect that. My birth mother has been nothing but a disappointment. But that’s my situation not everyone else’s. I cherish and appreciate the love and stability my family instilled in me. I myself have my own child and love him unconditionally!!! However I do want to adopt so I can give another child a chance at being loved and cared for. Abe is loved and I absolutely adore this family for loving THEIR son. DNA and biology doesn’t make a family

@saffron Lealle Beautiful story ❤
Loved your story! Thanks for sharing 💜💜
FYI a church is a cult.
I loved reading this ❤️ what a cool family
I am familiar with this family and have watched their channel and enjoyed a lot of their videos. Their son is being raised with so much love, he's so polite and beautiful. I don't understand how people have a problem with this, smh.
I agree. Unconditional love is what they are providing this beautiful child. It doesn't matter the color of any ones skin, it's about unconditional love period.
@Shan He will grow up CONFUSED. Try talking to some black people that were raised by non-black parents and stop being so naive.
God bless!
@@shan0997 I also have no desire to discourse with a lost cause. You have been subverted and assimilated. You might as well be white. First you call me a name, then offer to pray for me. WHAT A HYPOCRITE. Save your breath. I don't believe God hears the prayers of a HYPOCRITE.
It's ok to be involved but not too much
I think they need to have a very candid conversation about both of their true wants without being worried of offending the other!
They all mean well but they should do this the right way
@@kukuakukua they need to respect her wishes more. I think they’re bending over backwards to try and do the right thing but they’re doing too much and it’s affecting her. She looked like she had already been crying the second she came on stage.

I love them!!! I believe their love for their son is genuine u can tell by the way their baby responds to them!
SO, you think it's a GREAT thing to make ANOTHER "BP" CONFUSED, or even worse, a WHITE SUPREMACIST?!? MAKE THAT MAKE SENSE!!! I'M SO TIRED OF SEEING these STEPPING FETCHER, WHITE SUPREMACIST "BP". IT'S NOT A GOOD LOOK, ESPECIALLY ON A "BM". DIVIDE AND CONQUER IS REAL!!! STOP BEING SO NAIVE!!!
“A lot of the hate comments come from African American women who should be helping me, coming together and working together “ I’m black and this is sooo true and sad that’s why I can’t do females and a lot of females don’t want female friends!!! cause all they want to do is bring another female down to make themselves feel better or w.e their motive is.

Don’t let anyone discourage you. You are a beautiful family. The world needs more people like you.❤❤❤😊😊😊
they can have an adopted child , but they CHOOSE to go on a press run about it & put a camera in that baby’s face every chance they get like “look world our son is black”
Now look at God. Ashley is PREGNANT 🤰 AND GLOWING. She is 20weeks pregnant with a girl. I wish them the absolute happiness.

An absolute great family. Everyone should want every child to have this kind of love. I can tell you being an unwanted child is not that enjoyable.
Great advice about turning off the comments! Love this conversation definitely needed in today's climate wth families being constructed in a variety of ways

Ashely and Steve are good parents that’s why makyla wants to give them another baby
Why did she give her son up
@@marianaya5824 Omg. Really? I had no idea about the white Jesus thing. I've seen a lot of their videos. If that's true that's very disturbing.
Well that's lovely that he is so loved! I hope they all make the best choices for them.

I teared up. This family is so sweet
I love them so much! Been following them for a minute! You can tell they are genuine and sincere humans!
I have to say it is surreal to watch this after knowing she’s pregnant with her second baby right now!!
Black people are the realest...
This is Ignorant as hell
they are a beautiful blended family.
I hope the best for this child. Seems very complicated. But he seems very loved so that’s good.
I follow and support this loving family. ❤️ not sure if they should get a second child by the same person 🤔 but as long as they are okay with it then I'm happy for them.
They're preggo now 😢🎊🎊
I want Ashely to respect Makayla desire not to be Abriel's mother. Having him call her "Momma Kayla" when she doesn't want to be called that is kinda cruel. They need to be careful with Makayla's heart or she may end up resenting them too.
AGREED!!
Yes. There's too much overstepping of boundaries in this situation. That's probably the wisdom of closed adoptions only sometimes it's the other side that oversteps or wants their baby back. Clearly she gets emotional just thinking about her baby but then seeing him with other people and still having him call her Momma is too much. smh
She doesn't really mind it. She does want to be his 👩.
@@auzy2u845 Is that what you know or what you're assuming?
I told my adopted children that their birth moms are “Aunty So and So.” And the one birth mom who’s in our life also doesn’t refer to herself as mommy anything. I also don’t understand the mama mikayla thing. I know in the other video I saw she also said in it that she just wants to be called aunt, or sometimes just uses her name instead of putting mama in front of it.
I love this family sooo much❤️🙏🏿💪🏾
Their videos are so cute. Beautiful family ❤
Gosh your old. 😮🥴
CAN "WP" REALLY raise a PROUD "BM" or will he be either CONFUSED or a WHITE SUPREMACIST?
@@christopherbarge414 If he truly cares about the child, it doesn't matter about race. It's all about how much you love your child. To raise your child to be a racist is creating inside disgust of themselves. Hence racism is a sickness that is mental and then it becomes spiritual. Come on now...
And now she’s carrying her own child!!😍
Trying to get pregnant and carry a child (for YEARS) is easier said than done. It ruins you emotionally, BREAKS you. And cripples relationships. If they want to adopt another child, then thats their business. But don’t encourage a couple who has been in the trenches to return to war.

The hate comments are envieous for the love he is getting
just from description and the first 51 seconds, they need to either a) stop caring about what a few trolls think about their family or b) stop posting content. people are always going to have an opinion on what you do (I'm literally giving mine here lol) but if you aren't ready/willing to deal with that on a large scale, stop posting on a platform that will provide that. plus I already feel a type of way of family vlogging content and how it teeters on a thin line of child exploitation. put your kid first, you're exposing them to the internet and its a scary place
they're a lovely couple and I wish nothing but the best for their family.

That thin line of child exploitation is 100% the reason why my children and grandchildren are not put on social media anything. Think of the sick minded peds and how they save vids of children to do something x ugly while looking at the vid or picture. The Shorts on YT use to have a save vid click. That child is being raised by parents who love him. That’s all that matters.
I watch them and they are wonderful parents. I love their family.
I'm confused. Do they want the bio mom of their first son to just carry their bio child or do they want her to actually provide the egg again?
No, they wanted the birth mom to be in the baby’s life.

@@marianaya5824 how?
What is wrong with you adopting a child that is not the same race as you. If you have love to give and a big heart and an open mind then go for it.
I believe love is love no matter the circumstances. This adoption was done out of love. God will bless her to carry her own! The adoption was meant to happen first. He has a plan for our lives
Also: I question why they are still on social media with this type of hate. Why not just get off and then raise the child peacefully...?
That’s a good question. I just discovered today that they’re also on IG. I had only seen them on YT.
