Anakin Skywalker is seen as one of the most tragic characters in the history of film, as he is simply a man with a destiny to bring balance to the force dealing with what it means to mature and grow as a person. In this video, we explore how George Lucas created Anakin to subvert the expectations of the Hero's Journey in favour of constructing popular fiction's greatest villain: Darth Vader.
Star Wars has gone down as one of, if not the greatest, film franchises of all time. It highlights concepts like ego and power, and what they can do to a person.
