I have a 23 plate duster with the same engine. Great little engine, sounds thrummy and is nippy round town. Slowish to motorway speeds but fast enough for what I need. For only £2000 more go duster instead of the step way?
Since the Sandero is on an all new bespoke Dacia platform it is more roomy up front than the bigger Duster, of course you get more practicality nearly everywhere else with the Duster and it has more presence on the road but since it's generally just me or one other person in the car I'd go Sandero. Unless I needed the AWD.
We agree! Excellent value for money. There is also a full review of the Sandero Stepway on the channel: th-cam.com/video/m6hzCNfJ4Bo/w-d-xo.htmlsi=m1HJtJUhNZtI8GQW
Let’s hope this generation is better than the previous, I had a 67 plate top spec and had nothing but issues pretty much from day one, handling is numb, gear box is awful and notchy and the none turbo 1.0 sce 75 engine is very slow and gutless.
Something engineered to a low price will never be the best driving vehicle on the market. Unfortunate reality of value motoring is that costs are cut somewhere. A normally aspirated engine with only 75bhp will always feel gutless in comparison with a turbocharged unit.
You don’t get alloys and the Dacia are noisy on the road, I used to have a 2015 sandero it was noisy and sluggish and it would judder in reverse every morning, when you work the engine you can’t hear the radio. And I had the Sandero from brand new as well I only kept it 1 yr then got rid . Skoda is a bit better value second hand wise .
@@BuckleUpShow just back from Lanzarote where I hired a 2023 version 1.0 the for the week. It was an excellent little car, much more refined than the pre 2020 version of the sandero.
Yes, certainly into c3 entry level, but the c3 has a much weaker engine. However once you go above entry level the pricing of the c3 becomes much more expensive.
@@Agnus78 hi Agnus, you must be new here, I'm one of the other hosts of the channel and I own a Dacia Jogger that I affectionately refer to as 'The Dogger'
The built in multimmedia system/screen DOES have SatNav.
Only on the extreme trim

It's a car for when you need a car. And that is more than enough

What is the sound isolation on the highway like?
It's not too bad, a bit noiser than rivals due to less sound insulation, but not uncomfortably so.
Nice car and reasonable price.

@kzkr695starts at 15k you can add some more things for couple of thousands
But is new and last
Have owned the Stepway for just over a year now - whats not to like ? Cheapest most practical auto on the market.
It's an excellent all-rounder! We have a full review on the channel too 😅
Thanks for the review.
Has it helped you decide whether or not to buy one?
@@BuckleUpShow still weighing it up
What other options are you considering?
Any chance of in depth review of the stepway extreme 🤔 please 🙏
We already did (though not the Extreme model!) th-cam.com/video/m6hzCNfJ4Bo/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Fr50Iw19vFRROkVp

Hi. How’s the tce 90 hp engine holding on?
This is a press vehicle, we do not own it
I buy the Sandero (not the Stepway) automatic, the Stepway is not must have..
But what if you want chunky roof bars?

Dacia have come on leaps and bounds even since 2015. We suggest going and driving the new Sandero Stepway or Duster to see what you think.

Another good review. Priced themselves into C3 territory. A difficult choice.
I'd be interested to drive them both back to back to see what is better!

Which colour?
Are you asking what colour this car is?

Yes
It's good, but it's no Dogger

Dacia is becoming serious brand for ppl wallets. Cheap affordable cars, looking very good imo.

Practicality is definitely won by the Dogger
awful
