This is your sign to keep going! 👏🏻 GREAT job. I was never a big traditional Barbie fan but I loved all the pop star ones…my favorite being Selena 🌹 Thank you so much for your message about being the representation we don’t see. It really struck an emotional cord with me. One of my biggest challenges as a Latina has always been that I don’t look Mexican enough to fit in with the Mexicans and I’m not white enough to feel like an American. Being a Mexican American truly is as hard as they say in the Selena movie 😅 thank you for giving me a space to just be my spooky Mexican American self! 💜🦇✨

I don’t know where to begin, but I want to start by saying thank you for taking the time to watch my video 💖 Your comment to keep going means so much to me & inspires me even more to keep making videos & content. Thank you for also sharing your story about how the Selena Barbie resonated most with you 💜 Like you & her, I can also feel like I’m not Mexican or American enough. The truth is we are enough for ourselves & through proper representation of all of us & our varying levels of Mexicanness or Americanness, that black & white way of thinking starts to become less relevant. I love being able to talk about broader topics beyond spooky & nostalgic stuff & appreciate our dialogue back & forth. Always feel like you can freely express yourself on my channel. Thanks again for watching & sharing your thoughts! ☺️🖤

14:53 I echo your final thoughts 💜 I feel like the vintage/Halloween/spooky online world is a very white space and not always the most inclusive. Makes sense when so much of the focus is on buying things. (Which isn’t inherently a bad thing but not always accessible to all.) Anyhoo, that’s my own tangent 😂 Great video and I learned a whole lot! 💕💗💖💞 Keep doing you, Nostalgia Barbie.

I’m happy this resonated with you too 🩷 A lot of times, we see shopping & spending money on items as a big part of the content that’s out there. I love shopping for spooky/nostalgic stuff too & will spend/support where I can when I can, but as you mentioned, it’s not something everyone can do. With a mix of our content & content from others who do hauls, shopping, etc, I believe we can make the spooky/
nostalgic communities more inclusive for all. There is nothing wrong with shopping or spending money, but it’s also okay if you can’t or don’t want to as well. All you need is a love for spooky/nostalgia 🌈✨🦇

It sure was. Can you believe it?? That was only 42 years ago, which is wild to think about.
