My daughter came out as bisexual in 4th Grade and Pansexual in nearly 5th grade when she realized it wasn't just "traditional" males and females she was attracted to. She shaved her head. Started shopping in the "boys" section. Her hair was down to her bottom for years. While I may have shed a brief little tear over her long and beautiful hair of nearly a decade falling to the floor, I can honestly say I loved her shaved head EVEN MORE. I love her soooo much and how she feels and who she loves will NEVER change that. I support her. I wish that for any young person struggling to come out to their parents because they think they won't accept them. I may not know you but I love you and accept you!!!!

I’m Bisexual and ever since I came out, I never talked about it again. Since that day I’ve always been scared to have a girlfriend nor boyfriend. And it just upsets me when I hear people talking about me being Bisexual. My classmates are very kind but sometimes when they say stuff about me being “gay” or stuff like that what they say upsets me. And about my parents, they always try to get me to exercise but I just don’t have the right body to workout for a long period of time. Fun storytime: I was out with my friends today in the town and we all bought pride flags (because none of us are straight lmao) so I bought mine and we get to where we needed to go and I was debating coming out to my parents because I don't wanna have to hide my pride flag in my room somewhere for them to find it when they clean out my room (it's getting done up soon) and one of them to send me a pic while I'm in school like "we need to talk." I came out to my parents as gay at 13 and they immediately said "it’s just a phase James" and after like 4 months they saw I subscribed to some lgbts influencers and just researched and everything they got immediately angry and i said "yes I did this when I was in my lgbtq phase" (I am still gay) and they abused me but after I told people I got taken away at 14 now I am 15 almost 16 with new parents who accept me for who I am and I love them it will get better for all of you! I struggled with coming out for a long time (14 yrs), and to be honest I was scared as hell to tell anyone about it. So I chose to write it down on a paper, and as soon as I felt ready, I put the note on the dinner table ,so that my family could read it. I gave myself a hard time to think that I did something completely wrong, but it turned out that my parents respected my sexuality and they now even make some funny jokes about it. All I want to say is: I know it's scary, but you never know until you tried. And even if they don't like it, you are you, and be proud of it, you are the only YOU out there =)

I came out to my Conservative Christian foster parents .. everythjng went to hell , i was physically attacked and was treated like dirt , screamed at , yelled at , had my phone taken away and was forced to break up with my girlfriend. My sister liked another girl but was afraid to tell our parents until everything bursted and our parents found out she said she didn't mean to like her even though she try to explain our parents still won't listen and was planning to kick her out of the house. I didn't like the idea and tried to complain about what they are doing, I told them they are ruining her self esteem making her feel like she doesn't belong to anywhere. And I started to hang out with a few friends that also has the same 'problem' I told them they should just tell their parents the truth before it's just too late, if they don't agree with what you love then they don't have to regret about it and just live your life the way you want to. My parents accept if I don’t wanna be girly but then again, they body shame me. They always say things like “stop eating so much if you wanna have a perfect body!” and I just don’t answer. I’m Bisexual and ever since I came out, I never talked about it again. Since that day I’ve always been scared to have a girlfriend nor boyfriend. And it just upsets me when I hear people talking about me being Bisexual. My classmates are very kind but sometimes when they say stuff about me being “gay” or stuff like that what they say upsets me. And about my parents, they always try to get me to exercise but I just don’t have the right body to workout for a long period of time. I don't label my sexuality. I was scared to tell my bestie that, and had no idea how she would react. She was talking about one of her friends who is bi, then said, "I could see you being bi." I told her then that I don't label my sexuality and she didn't understand at first. Her and one of my other friends are the only people I have told. I'm scared too, but it will be okay.

I was out with my friends today in the town and we all bought pride flags (because none of us are straight lmao) so I bought mine and we get to where we needed to go and I was debating coming out to my parents because I don't wanna have to hide my pride flag in my room somewhere for them to find it when they clean out my room (it's getting done up soon) and one of them to send me a pic while I'm in school like "we need to talk." I have no clue how cultured my parents are when it comes to pride flags but still I'm really really nervous.

I came out to my parents as gay at 13 and they immediately said "it’s just a phase James" and after like 4 months they saw I subscribed to some lgbts influencers and just researched and everything they got immediately angry and i said "yes I did this when I was in my lgbtq phase" (I am still gay) and they abused me but after I told people I got taken away at 14 now I am 15 almost 16 with new parents who accept me for who I am and I love them it will get better for all of you! This song is a really good song anyone can relate to and STAY STRONG!!

I struggled with coming out for a long time (14 yrs), and to be honest I was scared as hell to tell anyone about it. So I chose to write it down on a paper, and as soon as I felt ready, I put the note on the dinner table ,so that my family could read it. I gave myself a hard time to think that I did something completely wrong, but it turned out that my parents respected my sexuality and they now even make some funny jokes about it. All I want to say is: I know it's scary, but you never know until you tried. And even if they don't like it, you are you, and be proud of it, you are the only YOU out there =)

I came out to my Conservative Christian foster parents .. everythjng went to hell , i was physically attacked and was treated like dirt , screamed at , yelled at , had my phone taken away and was forced to break up with my girlfriend. My sister liked another girl but was afraid to tell our parents until everything bursted and our parents found out she said she didn't mean to like her even though she try to explain our parents still won't listen and was planning to kick her out of the house. I didn't like the idea and tried to complain about what they are doing, I told them they are ruining her self esteem making her feel like she doesn't belong to anywhere. And I started to hang out with a few friends that also has the same 'problem' I told them they should just tell their parents the truth before it's just too late, if they don't agree with what you love then they don't have to regret about it and just live your life the way you want to. To everyone that has the same problem with parents, remember you aren't alone there is always more out there supporting what you like and who your interested on...
