It's good to see people paddling in to these, instead of getting towed. My only criticism would be that I'd liked to have seen the guys positioning themselves and the actual paddle onto the wave. You started the footage on almost all the waves just as they took off. Great footage though regardless!!
@@joblo6394 We all love what we love, just don't ever say you never appreciated a Jerry Garcia composition :) I like what Jerry's fingers can do with the melody, I like the words (first person, second person, third person) that Robert Hunter wrote to go with it. I think the "cover" (it is hardly that) used in the video is lacking due to it's synthetic drum track and instrumentation. Besides it is too short. But hey amigo, whatever floats your board ;)
@@outsidechambaz Large, cold, offshore. But not much compared to Sunset.. ever surf there? I have but quite some years ago now. Still living the good life in Honolulu.
You're kidding yourself if you think this is an easy wave or spot. It's freezing-ass Oregon, and it breaks way offshore.. Rarely pristine conditions like this epic footage.
Those are big waves, if your not an experienced surfer you definitely wouldn't be catching any of these waves, I know that sounds good when your watching it on TH-cam but in person it jus wouldn't happen

@@Ploz5555 totally agree, so many times when we were young on big days ive seen friends on the beach act super cocky then Once we got outside and they realized how big it was like hurricane Francis here in FL when it was a solid 15ft, they turn right around and ride some white wash in stricken with fear, it all looks fun into you got pitched from the top of the first 15ft wave of a set then pop up with a snapped board and 2 or 3 more waves Rollin in breaking right on your head, then again u might catch the waves of your life, no risk no reward when it comes to surfing 🤙
Wow; you are so right! I surfed Kanaha for many years; it’s my favorite surf spot on earth! On its absolute hugest days, when all the outer reefs are firing (Pier One; Sprecks; Jaws; etc.), I’d say Kanaha approaches this size. I’ve had a few close calls on some mackers there, and I’m pretty sure they were about the size of the waves in this vid. Great take! 👍🏻‼️
I couldn't personally say where the track from Stretch, but I know both the melody and percussion were synthetically ripped off from The Grateful Dead's "Warf Rat". hth

Sort of mushy but for right on the peak. It’s Oregon so this is probably a big deal for the locals. Average day for most of our SoCal/Mex big wave spots.
Beautiful, BEAUTIFUL smoth wave

Those are some big waves. I had a really big one once at another spot. It took a long time just to get down the wave. I went back in after just one.
Easy listening n visual clip .
Looks like a fun day out .
Looks like a learner’s big wave-
good photography
Bahahahah it's 40° water idiot
This is what I call the soul , the real life,oh yeah I recognize this ,what surfing used to be about, . . Down home, . . Job well done
Beautiful conditions. At 1:52 that sure is pretty!!! Wow!
Thanks. That was an incredible day for filming and surfing.
what a day! love the music on this too
An amazing day!
The musac is a ripoff of the Grateful Dead's "Dark Star".
@@archstanton_live ripoff? Idk, to me that’s a bit of a stretch -inspired might be better word imo 🤷🏽♂️🤙🏼

This my goal in a couple of years, to paddle out to this beauty!!! Thankfully I'm next to salem so not too far!!!!
afatty322 one of my goals as well. Been working up my courage in larger surf.
Thanks for sharing, old Oregon surf dog.
What a beautiful wave. Reminds me a bit of Sunset but cleaner and smoother.
And less hollow

It is indeed a long paddle with the back sets way way out there. I was there in 2017 when it was 17’. Lots of distance between sets.
Nice to see such beautiful sets, and not so extreme waves so that I can even think of catching one by myself!

This would be a great longboard wave ~ Lots of cutbacks inside ~
Just beautiful🤙
Offshores must have been howling judging how difficult it was to punch through the top to get a good drop-in.
BEAUTIFUL, WHAT MUSIC IS THIS?
The musak is a lame version of The Grateful Dead's "Warf Rat".
Such a beautiful lineup. More surfing footage to come?
Thanks. More to follow at the first opportunity!
Looks like kanaha, Maui, hi

Wow, a day for the books
Song name?
What a bro @ 3:07
Wow such a forgiving wave
Where is this? It looks like paradise!!
As cold as it gets!!!!!
Can you tell me what song/soundtrack this is? Asking for my 74 year old dad who called me just now raving about this video, the spot, and the SOUND.
nice easy wave. looks fun
You would drown idiot
Nice spot for a longboard or a SUP board. Great footage 👌😎
It’s like big steamer lane..

Gorgeous.
looks sharky
What a good day!
Should I ride my 5" 11" squash or my 11" 5' Longboard??? Hmmmm?
5'11 with extra volume to beat the wind and get over the ledge 😎
Just be there ;)
You'd do neither and you know it

Fin looking wave, does it get hollow at low tide?
Are you stupid this is a mile offshore 4o° water etc fuck your dumb
Angling on large waves like this is only for the daredevils and the foolhardy.
very easy with wimp wave but becomes great when 20-30 feet with smokin offshorewinds........hawaii waves in Oregon..........blessings to all.
Definitely great white turf..you'll never know what hit you....
Beautiful waves, not much meat after the drop.
my father and my mother waithing inHome , Burger Nuget Tuna like you finish
the wave does not seem to stand fully up. Kinda mussy imo 59 yr local. On this good of a day I can think of many other spots that would be firing.
I hate wipeouts to the same degree I love riding waves. That's why I prefer head height and no more.
Where is it?
Oregon
Lincoln City, Oregon
Clean surf break's.
So many hardcore chargers talkn big on the youtubes . Shut up and surf. You wouldn't go.
This is a fuckin dream! Giant waves but "easy" waves.
Definitely can drown out there it's very cold water far offshore and big
Super easy wave!
LMAO go out a mile,40° water paddeliyno safety ski then say that idiot
30 feet deep and no jagged coral reef.
Plenty of room for the men in the grey suits
🏄❤️
Too many sharks
Um...like a small Nazare....Um? Wicked.
That wave is all take off then nothing.
BIG Poople i dont like surfing , cause nothing large surfing :s

Mushy and slow, want to surf big waves, Hawaii warm and better surf.
And about a 1000 people in the lineup!
Beautiful break but large junk surf. Music nice.
The musak is a syth ripoff of both the percussion and the melody of the Grateful Dead's "Warf Rat".
