More like 20 years old, it's a R34 ! But yes, it catches the Lambo in the straight, since GT3s have very restricted engines (they actually pull less power than the road version cars !). But where they shine is in the corners, with a lot of downforce !
@@deezelkane They run with air restrictors because of Balance Of Performance. For example, the Porsche 911 has nearly no restrictor, while the GTR or the McLaren are heavily restricted, to achieve similar performance.
@ Well, yes, but the GT3 Huracan is way faster than a normal Huracan on the track or even any road car like the GT2RS MR for example. GT3 cars are much faster (and i mean a lot faster) on track time than the road going version. They would stand no chance. GT3 cars remain the manufacturer's official racing cars for this category (FIAA) after all. So even though these cars (GT3) have a restriction (depend on the race), they are still much faster than their road version so the fact that this R34 can follow the GT3 on this video remains impressive. It depends a lot on the driver too.

@@RiasGremoryS54 of course, a GT3 would mop the floor with the road version because of having so much more downforce, acceleration and handling. The only thing a road Huracan does better than a GT3 Huracan is straight line top speed. The road Huracan can get over 330kph, while the GT3 Huracan would struggle to go 300, because of the restricted engine and the drag-heavy aero wings.
