  • When people ask "How was your Africa safari?" My answer: "Life Changing."
    8 days of safari in South Luangwa National Park in Zambia. We had incredible experiences with wildlife of so many varieties. Mammals, birds, reptiles. Big cats and bugs.
    We traveled with our good friends for 8 days on safari.
    We stayed 8 nights INSIDE THE NATIONAL PARK where the animals roam freely.

    LOCATION: Mfuwe Lodge, the HQ of The Bushcamp Company.
    Mfuwe would be our home for the first night, before driving 4 hours into the bush to stay in camps in the wilderness. Before retiring that night, we were given our instructions:
    ** Do not leave your room after dark unless escorted by a staff member. **
    Why? Here’s the thing about Mfuwe Lodge. It is INSIDE the South Luangwa National Park. Inside the park, this is protected land of the animals and humans are nothing but guests.
    So, here on the Mfuwe grounds, you’ll find all manner of beasts moseying…at all hours of the night. And that includes elephants, baboons, and big cats too.
    That first night was a bit surreal; just beyond your walls, baboons perch next to your porch, crocodiles cool off on the pond banks, and hippos call and chatter all night. Tip: ear plugs.

    I have done this more times than I am willing to admit. SLNP still takes my breath away every time. Great video. You should do lower Zambezi one day if you haven’t already

    Zambia ; Luangwa Lower Zambezi and Kafue offer some wonderful safaris and excellent camps .
    Hoping to make a 4th safari to Luangwa .walking and night drives....and a few cold Mosi beers on sundowners....only problem..you'll yearn to go back.
    Fine memories for young people to relate to wildlife!
    Conservation South Luangwa CSL does a vital job on anti poaching and anti snaring related activities...the threats of ivory poaching are still real.

    • @Picturethemagic
      @Picturethemagic  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! For us, we used frequent flyer miles, so the routes are not exactly a direct line. So, our flying times were over 40 hours as we were sent thru a few airports on the way back :)
