Chris, you can do this! You can become that addictions counselor. Chase those dreams instead of the high. I won't say it's easy, but it is so worth it. I'm 7 years clean, got my degree in social work, and I work at a shelter for the unhoused population. I'm not bragging, just sharing that it can be done. You gotta be sick and tired of being sick and tired. It sounded like you believe in God, cry out to Him. He can help you. You got this bro! Don't let anyone tell you different. The best way of getting revenge to those who put you down is succeeding.
To anyone reading this who is suffering from addiction. You can get clean, Don’t give up, it’s a fight. It’s better to fight and win than to fight and lose. You don’t want to die like that you wanna live a good, faithful life and die old surrounded by family with something to leave behind. Cry out to Jesus!
An addict turning counselor is one of the worst things for most addicts. They have to be sober for two years and it’s not long enough to handle the struggles and emotions of other peoples problems.
This guy breaks my heart. He's a sweetheart at heart and is just very broken and stuck in this routine and cycle of pain-numb-feed repeat. I pray he gets clean, cus everything else will fall into place for him
Me, too. Later this month I'll be sober for 20 years. Clean for 11. I don't think about drinking anymore. But Xanax has entered my soul. If I could have one more bar, just one, then it would be ok... Best of luck to you.
@stanleycostello9610 I know exactly what you're saying. Benzos have entered my soul like that too. Valium, Clonazepam, Ativan, Tamazepam felt perfect because I've always suffered with anxiety. I've gotten off opiates too and even off methadone and have no desire to go back but the benzos will always be on my mind. Good luck to you brother.

Chris!! I was your age when I got clean and I've got 10 years down now, and I promise you the doctors can help you and they can do it without you even having to get sick. I only went through a few hours of it after i checked into a detox hospital before the doc finally came in and started my meds. The medicine works, and you can still have an amazing life that you love and live it normally... you just have to stick with the plan and not put yourself in certain situations or around certain people, but the medicine can make it pretty much painless to change your life. It has worked for me and I know a whole bunch of people who can say the same. It works. it is necessary for some people to take meds for all types of different reasons. My medicine fills the receptors in my brain and so I don't have cravings and have never relapsed. It is absolutely possible for you to get well and stay that way. God is, has been, and will be there there with you every step too, so lean on him and trust that there's a wonderful future for you ♡

Chris seems like a good dude. I think he can do it!! He's still young, been thru a lot, gotta lot to share, help ppl. Russell, do you take donations to help ppl in your videos? I'm so tired of losing close friends and family over this!!!
It’s a frightening prospect being clean when you’re locked into addiction, but if I can do it so can you!! There’s only one way to do it, and yes it’s unpleasant but it does pass, and you’ll be angry at yourself for not try to get clean sooner, I was, Heroin had 20 years out of me!! Now I’m coming up to 20 years clean! I have 3 great kids and a grandson, god bless you brother, good luck 👍
Respect to you man

Looks like every one of my family members! They live on the streets of Bmore. I just celebrated 18 years and I pray for them every damn day! Thanks for the video!
I'm sorry to hear about your family, but congratulations on getting 18 years clean. That's a huge accomplishment. I'm in Maryland as well and just hit 10 years clean back in April.

I'm from just 20 miles south of Baltimore city. What a world of difference from here to there.
Me too. I grew up in PG County.

@@unheardvoices_official 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 it took a very long time and a couple of bids before anything actually worked but now I am grateful everyday to wake up!
One of my best friends growing up was pretty much to this point at 30 and he now runs multiple halfway houses and has been clean for 13 years. It's rare but recovery does happen
That's awesome, man. Congratulations to him for turning it all around. That's what's up.
You got this Chris!! Stop the rain
