Stevenage Station On 28th October 1988
Continuing with my archive of video recording between the years of 1986 to 2001 this clip is of Stevenage taken on 28/10/1988. During the introduction and high speed testing of the new class 91 locomotive and class 31's were still being utilised on newspaper trains. I hope the video takes you back to this period with fond memories. Feel free to comment, good or bad, all comments are read and greatly appreciated,but it is not always possible to answer each individually. Great film, I expect the place is overgrown and uncared for like most of Britains rail infrastructure now. Lovely 317s too.

Most stations in the 80s were, frankly, filthy; soot from exhaust fumes, litter all over the track
