CM Punk's return to AEW was game-changing. Unfortunately, things got messy and complicated really quickly. The Best in the World's run in All Elite Wrestling would come to an end after two years. This is the harsh truth about CM Punk, The Elite and AEW.

Vince McMahon when CM Punk returns to WWE.
"You couldn't live with your own failure. Where did that bring you? Back to me."
That would be a great storyline!
Vince is real life Thanos
cm punk being vinces final match would be amazing storytelling.

There’s a reason why “This Fire Burns” works so well as his theme because there’s fire of passion and fury in his heart which has very thin line of boundary to separate it. Sadly, he couldn’t tolerate it when he felt wronged. For the people he liked, he would push them to the moon. For the people he hated, he stomped them to the ground. Regardless, it would be best for him to get out of AEW and I hope he found peace in his future endeavors.
Yea cause he was wronged by a bunch of jobbers
When Punk was coming up, he would be super friendly to anyone that could help him. Once that person helped Punk, and Punk didn't need him anymore, that person became nothing to Punk. He bitched about the politics in WWE, when, in reality, Punk play the political game as much as anyone.
But he was wronged.
The Elite spread a lie about him which they leaked to friendly dirtsheet writers that he was using his influence to get Colt Cobana fired, which was the catalyst for everything.
I like his song cult of personality, because that’s who he is multiple personalities like the song says on the smiling face on your TV
You are a goof and a mark
I'm gonna keep this anonymous, But CM Punk dropped by my wrestling school right before returning on Collision to film some stuff. He decided instead of leaving, he was going to stay and train with us. He did all the drills my trainer instructed, and he gave it his all, training side by side with a bunch of nobody kids and was very humble and very nice. My trainer even asked if he had any pointer for correction and punk said "Honestly, I don't know sh*t". He humbled himself to be like one of us, and take instruction from another trainer. He was kind, and funny, and cared. That's my expierence with him. I can't speak on anything else.
This video gave me goosebumps because how relatable it was. Being constantly betrayed by those closest to you. You put up a wall so high that you refuse to let anyone in.
It’s true but once you have that mindset you push people away that sometimes don’t deserve to be. Phil clearly has skeletons in his closet and yoh can’t teach an old dog new tricks
This is not the case with cm punk he wants to be a leader but he's not plain amd simple the wwe wants nothing to do with him for a reason he lied about the ryback incident he Is not wanted by a lot of wrestlers
That’s what therapy is for.
Be careful, narcissism also presents as a victim/paranoid mentality…believing everybody has betrayed you and is out to get you.
I totally relate to Punk and his trust issues. But that is also why I am not a fan of his anymore. Instead of being an adult he calls everyone else children and burns every bridge he crosses. He was in AEW to elevate the company, they give him the championship, and it’s “blah blah everyone is mean to me!”
As a kid that kind of behavior is normal. This guy is in his 40s. Grow up!
Punk was a massive part of my wrestling childhood. I will always appreciate him
Punk formed one of my all time funniest moments when Mickey Gall finished him in UFC....
Same
Until u piss him off 😂😂😂😂
Not to down on you childhood but I was an adult by the time he got popular and it was weird because even though I liked him but I understood that he wasn’t Main event material just by what we had in the attitude era during my childhood. So by the time that he was on top I was almost tuned out because of him
@yeTism me too
As a guy who loves Punk, man. You can't be held accountable for your trauma, but you *can* be held accountable to what you do with it. He's raised his walls so high he doesn't let anyone in, and even the smallest slight is an attack worth burning bridges for. I wish he'd gone to therapy and worked out his issues, his tenure in AEW should've been so much longer and more prosperous, but I firmly believe he's not the only one who's made mistakes in the handling of all this drama. Hope he does well in WWE.
I mean if he's not interested in that glass spot, then they should've conducted business like men. But Jack Perry had just pulled out a bitch move and he got away with it. The same with Bullet Club, if Adam Page has got a problem with Phil, then he should've told it to him face to face, behind the screen, like a man. But he pulled another unprofessional move and Phil even tried to handle it calmly like a pro by telling him to not take it personally in that segment unlike Adam. Firstly those douchebags Omega & Young bucks should be stripped from their EVP roles and should appoint any veterans/legends as a backstage official. Wrestlers shouldn't be holding any backstage official post/power, it's the thing which leads to lower morale. The best examples of this are the Bullet Club, Hogan & Triple H.
@megaapp9185
You will disagree with me, but Phil isn't exactly 100% in the right either. Punk threw a chair at one of the Young Bucks because he was jealous the spotlight wasn't on him. But he also was the one who needed to hide behind Ace Steele, and Ace and his dog Larry bit Kenny Omega, which that isn't exactly good character. But I will say you were right when Jack Perry pulled that move and the other thing about Hangman, although Punk shouldn't have pushed him.
Edit: Sorry for the late reply.
I think the over worship and glorification of this man is what ultimately led to his downfall. Too many people putting him on s pedestal including his boss who didn't treat him like he was a normal employee until it was far too late.
Everyone fed into his ego. He came in and acted a bit like a Hogan trying to be the big man everywhere. There were lots of other wrestlers there making AEW the best it can be. Punk was a guy who had a chance to help keep building the company up more, but AEW wasn’t nothing without him.
I don't think if that's true, look at guys like AJ Styles, Seth Rollins and Daniel Bryan who are equally as big and as loved as CM Punk but they didn't end up getting fired from everywhere.
Noo what led to these incidents is that punk wouldn't put up with people's bullshit and attempts of sabotage. This isn't a giant mystery, they tried to screw him and he retaliated.
Well said.
Obviously, none of this is ever Punk’s fault. It’s always someone else’s. If only they had stayed in line and understood their place relative to him, then none of this would have happened. 🙄
Punk has clearly some anger issues but damn the Elite truly set him up to fail. I'll miss him so much
Nobody set him up, he just couldn't control his anger and his ego. Even if it was some sort of set up, him being dumb enough to fall for it reflects poorly on him as the veteran worker.
@@MrSFblacki think the dumb enough one is yourself
@@MrSFblackexactly. He had every opportunity to handle things like an adult and show he truly can be a locker room leader. He had the opportunity to show all his detractors wrong and show he can be the locker room leader that WWE had zero confidence he could be. And he blew it.
@@DeadmanInc336 The Elite are the ones who canceled the meeting a few days before Wembley to smooth things out, not Punk.

I’m sorry, but plenty of people have gone through what Punk has gone through and sometimes even worse and they don’t turn out like him.

Cool story bro.
He literally never changed
He would have a way better legacy if he had stayed away, so yh you are right
I was happy when he first returned to wrestling, even the 10 year old in me was jumping up and down to see him in AEW, but now things became different because of all the drama. I can’t blame him because he was my hero back in WWE alongside John Cena, but the fact that all this drama with Hangman, the Elite, & Jack Perry tells the whole entire story of real life heat in AEW.

At this point I'm convinced anyone who defends or condones CM Punk's actions have either:
- No awareness
- No morals
- No ethics
- No maturity above the age of 21
The amount of people in the fanbase who pretty much showed me that it's okay to solve your problems and treat your coworkers you don't like with violence is absurd. And also that 2 wrongs do make a right. Appalling.
You raise a very good point Pllana! Even though everything turned out like it did, and I hate that it turned out the way it did. He’s had a past and there is two sides to every story. We may not ever know the 100% truth but we can remember Punk for the amazing character and Wrestler that he was whether it was in AEW or anywhere else.
We all know the truth but elite smarks choose to ignore it nothing new nothing more nothing less
That was not a good point he just made excuses for CM Punk, from personal experience it’s childish use a traumatic past to excuse his shitty behavior. Especially since this man is pushing 50 you have to know that there’s a reason why there’s always huge drama wherever he is. HES THE COMMON DENOMINATOR IN ALL OF THIS.

@@hippiichick6146you're just a CM Punk simp refusing to take off the rose colored glasses. He's been a miserable, whiny SOB who was very adept at playing politics. That got him from the low end indies to WWE. But, he burned a lot of bridges on that journey due to his selfish attitude. I broke into pro wrestling with the Lunatic Wrestling Federation. I heard the real stories of CM Punk. He turned his back on his friends, and then made up a back story about how his family and friends were severe alcoholics and druggies just to make himself look better. Most of what Punk says is an absolute lie.
@@wwefan4mylifeyes, Punk is a douchebag. And there is drama wherever he goes. But AEW fans are acting like that company isn't full of douchebags, and Punk was the only issue in that locker room.
I don’t really like cm punk because he makes excuses for his shortcomings as a man. However, I did respect him for the in ring work he did for a very long time. But even that doesn’t excuse the bullshit he’s put a lot of wrestlers through. CM Punk fans seem to forget this was the same guy who can’t acknowledge his own faults. For example he took a beef with Jeff Hardy to real life and that was back in 2009. Which makes you think what did this guy do in Ring of Honor as well. Just note I’m not in any way condoning Jeff Hardy’s own personal demons. Although I’m a Jeff Hardy fan and have a bias towards him. My point was that CM Punk has had these issues for years. However it’s only been recently that they’ve been exposed to this extent.
Look man. He's a grown ass man and so is everyone involved. There's only so much you can blame your childhood. Eventually it sounds pathetic. When you rub everyone the wrong way there's two possibilities either EVERYONE is bad; or YOU are bad.

Yes survival series 2023or royal rumble 2024🥹
"and because of that, CM Punk has been in survival mode his entire career." Chief. ... it's called therapy, dawg. If his character is all of this, that's one thing. And I can buy into that tale... but then there's a difference between Phil Brooks and CM Punk that he needs to be able to turn on and off. And we have a mountain of evidence that he either won't break character... or it's not a character, and he's just a damaged person who needs therapy.
It's so easy to point and say someone has all the guilt but to be honest, we don't know the whole truth, there are weird things on each side but at the end of the day I'm happy I was there to see Punk in AEW, I just wish him the best

I think the elite never wanted a bigger star than them in this company. The only time where there was a bigger name than the elite was when CM Punk was there. It's the most stupid decision ever to let current talent be EVPs. And I'd like to think that maybe after Cody finishes the story within WWE, maybe if he returned to AEW the same would happen all over again and they would turn on their friend because he's become a bigger star than they are. Regarding Perry, he's just a stupid kid who wants to hurt himself and the media didn't punish him as deserved cause his name isn't Phil Brooks. When producers and doctors told him don't use real glass on Collision nobody gave a shit EXCEPT for that Punk also said no. And when he took a shot live at the most important PPV in the company's history, the media ran wild about Punk's reaction instead of Perry's action. He should be fired. However, it doesn't matter cause he won't make it to the top in pro-wrestling anyway.

My favorite part of C.M. Punk's carreer was when he got absolutely humiliated in MMA, twice in a row.
It got him to shut up for all of two seconds. He's like Rhonda, without the talent. I hope that his WWE return is extremely short lived.
If not for Drew's hard work, C.M. Punk would have nothing left to leach off of.
It started with Punk being (obliquely) accused of using his backstage power to keep lesser workers down. It ended with him actually using his power to keep lesser workers down (Banning Ryan Nemeth from his show, ditto to Christopher Daniels) and physically attacking a lesser worker for doing his own match in a way that Punk wouldn't.
The sad thing is: it is perfectly believable that Punk had nothing to do Colt Cabana being dropped from AEW and demoted to ROH. That could have just been the natural course of Colt's career, or it may have been decided by others in AEW management in order to head off trouble before it started. However, based on how Punk subsequently acted, it is even more believable that he had everything to do with Colt being pushed down! He is undeniably full of hate, easily offended, and will retaliate with no sense of proportion.
Exactly. I was on the side of not believing he had intentionally gotten Cabana reassigned. The fact he came back and proceeded to do just that with several others, makes me doubt that. Especially with the knowledge that Perry had the spot cleared with the proper people, which makes the idea higher ups asked Punk to intervene, far less likely, and that's basically what his camp was putting out had initially happened.
What?? Where is the proof besides the dirt sheets that punk banned people from collision?. Did punk say it directly or did tony ?? No one said anything about it. Just believe the dirtsheets blindly just like with that colt cabana rumour. Nemeth is a jobber who doesn't win anything. Daniels works backstage and isn't on screen. How do you even know anything whether its true or fake unless its confirmed directly.
They've already confirmed punk didn't do that

I am now 38 years old and it's dawned on me that Punk needs serious help. He needs a behavioral intervention. I also strongly believe now that professional wrestling might actually be the absolute worst thing for his mental health.
I'm not mad at Punk. Just very disappointed in him and hope he gets help.
It's always the fault of the bullied, never the bullies.
@@vileluca pfft...Punk probably does legitimately believe that considering the narcissistic, gaslighting, victim complex he has.

Nahhh shocking take. For over a decade, punk has been a money hungry, egotistical, arrogant, trouble maker… no other way around it. Would never see Cena, The rock or Reigns act like this
No way you’re gonna say Punk’s the most misunderstood wrestler ever because he did a promo about a drunk dad and started 2 backstage fights lmao. Go look up Jake Robert’s life and tell me who’s more misunderstood.
CM Punk suffers from believing his own hype. He’s not happy unless he’s the champion and dictating everything around him. Here’s an idea start your own company……
That's why WWE never gave him THAT SPOT!😂
Me personally i will always say all parties involved have a part in this and it wasnt fair that everyone blamed Punk solely
Yeah! Totally not Punk's fault for his fist to go flying at Perry's face. His face shouldn't have been there!! Go touch grass.
Nobody is putting all the blame on Punk. But unfortunately a good chunk of the blame does go to Punk simply for him choosing to handle things poorly and disgracefully.
CM Punk is simply a narcissist. Hes gonna be 50 in a few years. Needs to grow up! He isnt the only person to have a hard childhood.
Just because you had daddy issues doesn't mean people have to be nice to you while you screw up I don't feel sorry for punk he did all of this to himself
That's true but CM Punk didn't do anything wrong,it was the Elite,Jungle Boy and Hangman misbehaving with Punk
Fired from ufc
Fired from WWE
Fired from tna
Fired from aew
Fired from starz
What's the common denominator

His dad abused drugs and alcohol until he became a POS. Punk was straight edge to avoid ever being his dad… and became a POS.
*shrug*
“But, but, but…”
Punk sucks. It’s good that he’s gone.
"We will never even know if firing him was the right decision..."
We do. He started another fight backstage. You can not do that. He threatens talent when he does not get his way. He is a walking legal nightmare. Tony gave him a second and third chance to stay in the wrestling industry. Phil could not help himself. His ego and anger problems continue to get the better of him. It takes a single minor misunderstanding for him to scorch earth a friend. He creates the hostile work environment he complains about. Firing him was the right decision and to entertain the idea otherwise is to ignore all the facts that are public knowledge.
It's really easy to point the finger and blame CM Punk, but what if what he said at the All Out media scrum is true? What if the problems in AEW are not just CM Punk, but Tony himself not really controlling his company the way he should? There's more to this than meets the eye imo. Yeah, Punk was a huge part in these problems with AEW, but it's like AEW was a peaceful, heavenly environment before Punk came back. There's more to this than meets the eye.
@@HonestAbe18 Yes it is easy to point the finger at the guy in the wrong. Because he is in the wrong. There is no question in the slightest about it. All you have to say is "what if?" with zero proof over the media scrum. No one else backs up his claims. No one else has had this level of problems behind the scenes at AEW either. No one else has started a fight backstage but he has two to his name. And both of them on a night which should be about the massive PPV success that just happened. Instead CM Punk is a massive media distraction. Taking the focus off the company to put is squarely on him. Some would say he was going into business for himself by being that selfish. An adult would take his issues behind the scenes and work it out. Punk uses the media and his fans as tools to get what he wants.
And to spin it back onto you. What if what he said was wrong? Or perhaps he even lied? Did you take a second to think of that? He put that stuff out there for his rabid fans to devour and protect him. Perhaps you do the easy thing. Just take a step back and listen to what his co-workers in the WWE & AEW have been saying for years. What is the overwhelming statement? They do not want to work with him. Phil is best left gone. For his mental health, for the physical and mental health of the AEW roster as well for the future success of AEW in general.
@@lordhawkeye "No one else has had this level of problems behind the scenes at AEW either."
Who else but Punk is a big enough name to resist abuse from executive vice-presidents of the company? He was a lightning rod but if you think he's the only one getting bullied backstage, you're insane.
@@vileluca "Who else but Punk is a big enough name to resist abuse"
Cody Rhodes, Kenny Omega, Chris Jerico, The Bucks, Samoa Joe and William Regal to name just a few guys off the top of my head who can easily resist this phantom abuse you created out of thin air. Any of them who could go public if it were real and be perfectly fine getting work elsewhere. Two of the guys I listed do not even work at AEW anymore and it would actually benefit them to say that crap if it did happen. It simply does not exist.
Add to the mix the stories of Phil having issues behind scenes dating back to before he even cracked the WWE roster. Either he has had the most terrible luck dealing with several different promotions over decades until they drop him or he is the problem until the remove him. Your boy is poison. Be better than Phil and act like an adult.
Started the fight? There is zero evidence Punk started any fight. Reports have been conflicting at best and ridiculously overblown at worst.
Who did he threaten? You keep claiming this is public knowledge but you're clearly ignoring every report that disputes the things you're claiming.
WHOA!!!
This is that CM Punk guy who kept gettin his ass whooped in the UFC.
Boo me hate me love me cheer me you do it cz you know I am right - CM PUNK
Adam Page did what he had to do.
Get pegged by his wife?
Love him or hate him, nobody can deny that he changed the game forever. He is someone who changed the direction of professional wrestling in a time where it was in a huge tragedy. Many would disagree with me but it is the reality and reality isn't sweet, it is bitter.
He changed absolutely nothing. It remained a tragedy. He was a flash in the pan. If you can point to a change that happened after him I am glad to listen.
Changed the game how? What did he revolutionize? Where are the legendary draws or the iconic in-ring spots that rival Taker throwing Foley off the cage or Hart making Austin pass out from refusing to surrender to the sharpshooter?
He was a flavor of the month that got removed before he wore out his welcome a decade ago and that confused people into thinking he was more than he actually was.
@@runjr032 You may disagree that's why I mentioned it in my comment and everything I said on my perspective not yours, keep it to yourself and this is what I believe in.

We are asking you to give us some examples to back up your "truth" that Punk somehow changed the business. Of course you wont give any, because you cant lol.
No way dude. You[re making excuses for Punk. He had a bad childhood so what? A lot of people do and they eventually get over it and don't act like this. No, screw Punk and it's his own fault.
Sounds like a bunch of excuses for a guy who believes so hard he is better than everyone, than everybody is wrong. You would think his time in UFC would have humbled him a bit, but it seems he will always be an unapologetically crying brat.
I think Tony made the right choice, take cm punk out of the equation for a second, you got a guy who keeps getting in fights backstage, he's only an in ring talent but he's walking around acting like he runs the show, you've bent over backwards to placate the guy (even gave him his own tv show so he doesn't have to work with half the roster he doesn't get along with) and he still can't keep himself from getting in fights, and the guy has a breakdown every couple of months and publicly trashes the company. Again, imagine none of that has to do with angry phillip, would you still keep that guy in your promotion? You know at some point he is going to assault more of your employees, if this was any other business, or it was any other wrestler, people wouldn't stand for that kind of behavior and blatant disrespect. Also, id be willing to bet money the best promotion he'll be able to work for (if he even comes back to the business) is Impact or MLW. I wouldn't be surprised if he just hangs up his boots, or maybe he'll just show up at Control Your Narrative with all the other canceled goobers who can't work anywhere else.
Thank you I’m getting tired of guys like soooplex or Sean Ross sap shitting on punk and acting like the elite are perfect
The elite are absolutely responsible for most of the backlash. They’ve been known to pick sides, talk shit and spread Misinformation while also being so full of themselves and thinkin there shit doesn’t stink.
Aew pays them, wwe doesn't.
Truth of Brooks, he's a fake, whining, egotistical, tough guy.
9:22 This...
That's something I was suspecting about him when I heard Hornswoggle's interview and when another drama came out with a former friend who felt like Punk (who was there when he the dude became a father), abandoned him.
I suspected it because I was EXACTLY like that, for the EXACT same reasons.
I have never understood the CM Punk thing. He always looked to me like a scrawny vaper that looked bad in the ring
His sitting in the middle of the ring and talking was dumb. I just never understood it.
CM Punk is like Batman - he's the hero we need, just not the one we deserve right now. We (in general) have not appreciated him enough
When you have to use childhood trauma to justify a grown ass mans behavior’s is pure comedy.
Thank you for this Pllana! Great video! I will always respect CM Punk!
Given how Punk started going all “HUR DUR AEW HARD CAM SIDE” a la Cornette and Bischoff after Brawl Out, it wouldn’t shock me if Punk acted like that backstage and the locker room got tired of the bullshit
this guy bringing up cm punks upbringing as an excuse for a GROWN ASS MAN is sickening.
Not excusing. Just explaining why he acted the way he did, but go on
@@valon.pllanathen he needs therapy instead of taking it out on people. He should know better about mental health his wife is bipolar herself. The man never healed at all.
I don’t get it, it’s the stupidest thing ever for Perry to take a suplex on a real windshield but it’s cool for Punk to repeatedly stab himself in the forehead ?
Everybody deals with trauma at some point in their lives. The key is to not traumatize *_other_* people with your own hurt.
A lot of leaps in logic here. For example, what is misunderstood about CM Punk? He’s got a lot of anger inside of him? No shit!
Keep in mind that Brett Hart came back to WWE 13 years after attacking Vince which nobody thought would ever happen. I don’t like to sound like I’m pulling my own here but out of every wrestler that has ever been, I definitely think that CM Punk somewhat is a resemblance to me personally. Even convinced me to be straight edge myself back in 2006 after watching his ECW promos.
I really hope he does come back into WWE. The guy is way too young to retire and has so much fire left in him just to be wasted out on the sidelines
He's 45 and injury prone. Kiss his ass all you want, but facts are facts. Think for yourself.
I’m sorry but being “misunderstood” is not an excuse for all the unprofessionalism he’s shown the last few years
Saying CM Punk isn’t a bad guy and is “misunderstood” is crazy. He clearly is a flawed and bad person and needs to work on himself, doesn’t mean that he’s the worst person and like you said, he had become a monster
Imagine Just Imagine
Punk and the Elite make up and move on
Tony rehires him to start a new storyline
Tony is in the ring giving Kenny Omega some award
“This fire burns” starts playing
CM Punk comes back with a burning passion to eradicate the elite in a personal storyline where Punk is a full on heel and he would talk from the heart, acknowledge his flaws and decides to live with them because that’s what CM Punk is. He’s rough, He’s mean, and doesn’t bend, and that’s why he’s the best, he needs to show us why he’s good.
Tony calls for security and is playing a sort of “wimp boss” character.
Punk drops a pipe-bomb where Kenny and Punk go back and forth in an unscripted manner.
I don’t like how he came back to Collision, made a small reference about the backstage drama and then he’s just in a new storyline that has nothing to do with what everyone is talking about in the wrestling world, wrestling business isn’t ran the same as any other form of entertainment, prime examples of this is Matt Hardy and Edge’s feud during the 2000s where it was a storyline based on a real cheating affair with Lita.
Wrestlers need to make sacrifices for the greater good of the product sometimes. That’s what creates unforgettable moments and elevates them even more sometimes.
Great stuff, dude, but you left out an important detail: namely that Punk did try to reach out the Bucks and their faction, but they hid beyond lawyers and was told not to contact them.
Even as far as weeks before Wembley, the Bucks blew off a meeting meant to end the beef.
Actually AEW management cancelled the meeting between Punk and the Bucks because management ASSUMED that the Bucks wouldn't go for it. So once again, the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing when it comes to AEW management. Also, I don't blame the Bucks one bit for not wanting to deal with Punk. Think about it for a second: he publicly dragged their names through the mud, slandered them, and accused them of stuff that to this day we don't even know if it's true. And then when they went to talk to him about it (against their better judgement!), he physically assaulted them backstage. I don't blame them one bit for not wanting to deal with Punk and letting lawyers deal with him. The trust is gone, man. Punk broke their trust. They simply just don't trust him and don't want to deal with him. I honestly can't blame them one bit.
@@DeadmanInc336 Why does it even need a company order for grown adult men in their forties to sort this out.
I’m sorry but no, the Bucks don’t get to act like victims when it’s obvious they started all this.
Ok, so who could it have possibly been besides the Elite clique? who that had enough pull with the dirt sheet writers - WON especially - to put together a targeted smear campaign against Punk, accusing him of getting Colt Cabana removed from AEW when that never happened, Tony Khan himself saying that on record.
The motive is self-evident, pure jealously that Punk was the better draw and better wrestler who was overshadowing them.
With respect, I get the strong sense that even when all this is officially confirmed (even though it basically is) you’d still find a way to blame Punk over the Bucks.
Are you forgetting that Hangman Page (the Buck’s friend) went into business for himself and blasted Punk legitimately to his face?
I notice you give a hard time and assume the worst from Punk, but give the Bucks and their side far more benefit of the doubt, despite even the most positive versions of this drama still showing them as childish and unwilling to resolve any issues at any point.
Attacking the Bucks when they came into the locker room was wrong, and I don’t think they were there to attack him as some suggest, suspending him was the right move. But I ask you to put yourself in Punk’s shoes a moment, you just got off that press scrum, you’re angry and full of adrenaline, pissed at the injury, and at the current state of things, you’re alone besides your friend, his injured wife and your dog, then suddenly, a group of guys barge in uninvited and stroll up.
It’s not unreasonable in those circumstances, in fight or flight mood, you’d act before thinking.
Furthermore, the Bucks are EVPs of the company, not just talent. They don’t get to pick and choose who they work with. Don’t you think they have even far more responsibility to be the ones to be the mature adults in this scenario?
@@DeadmanInc336Come on they are AEW management. If Tony was an actual boss he would demand that the meeting happen conflict is inevitable, especially in the wrestling business and that's how you deal with conflict among wrestlers. Punk dragged their name in public sure but who was feeding information to Dave dragging Punk's name in public first who was that had to be somebody?

It’s a shame it didn’t work out, but his return and run to the title was amazing. The MJF feud was one of the best in the company.
Tony Khan was a huge fan and bent over backwards and even gave Punk his own show. It just wasn’t meant to be.
what about all the lies he's told, and the backs he's stabbed, going back to RoH - defo narcissistic signs
I wish I could defend punk but I can't, this was completely his fault. Its a true shame his career ended like that, but I have 0 sympathy for punk. Atleast he had the perfect retirement match.
How is it completely his fault when a bunch of other people were being immature. Punk tried to advise Jack Perry, Jack didn’t listen, and then he insulted him. If Punk put his hands on anyone that is not okay, but let’s not forget the Young Bucks and Kenny Omega are also very immature here, for christ’s sakes the Young Bucks ran laps around the ring after Punk was fired and THEY CONFRONTED HIM after the press conference. Punk’s not innocent, but it is not all of his fault because he was right, he was working children.
Honestly, it was everyone's fault.
@@GOJIGANG The fact that people act like it's ALL CM Punk's fault is just them being delusional, the children were purposely trying to get on his nerves the whole time, AEW is mostly full of immature nerd friend circles.
And Tony Khan just let's them run the place, it's terrible, probably made Punk think WWE is not so bad after all lol
@@GOJIGANGso? What's interesting to me is that, I bet if it was someone like mox who wanted to use real glass, I'm sure punk wouldn't do anything. The fact he lost his cool over a lowercard talent like Jack Perry lol, is just so weird to me. I do agree with that line but that had nothing to do with him getting fired, it was the fight with Jack Perry that got him fired. Unfortunately for everyone involved Phil Brooks couldn't put his ego aside. I literally thought that he would have calmed down after having like 6 months off due to injury but bro came back twice as more toxic.
To be fair, The Elite poke the bear and they made CM Punk to go insane.
It's one thing to explain something but we don't need to excise it either. Punk was wrong to attack people no matter the reason. This video felt like an excuse for his behaviour.
