We felt Laos is pretty underrated...and it kinda makes sense that it's still quite unknown because of its neighbour countries. The country is big and there are only a few popular/touristy spots like Luang Prabang, Vang Vieng, and well, Vientiane? We stayed for about for months, not only travelling but also volunteering in a couple of places, seeing and experiencing the local life. I'd say that Lao people are very welcoming and friendly and humble. We loved to hang out with them and miss them all! Regarding money, we felt it wasn't as cheap as Vietnam, but since it's quite unexploited, definetely cheaper than Thailand or Cambodia. Which makes it very affordable for any kind of traveler! I don't know why I'm saying all this in a comment, if you read this far, come over our channel and see another kind of vlog from a different point of view!
No. There's more. Pak Se in the southeast near the border with Thailand. There are 1000 islands in the river. Many to explore and of course, the highlight: The Khone Falls and Pha Pheng Falls, The Khone has the greatest volume of the world's waterfalls, its 2,500,000 gallons (9,500,000 litres) per second being nearly double that of Niagara Falls. Traveling involves 2 things: nature/beautiful landmarks/buildings AND PEOPLE. That means interact with the people and eat what they eat. You'll find a lot of that in the day or night markets near the middle of town. Eat what looks good and smell good, if not, you'll probably not like it. Try all the different regions of Mexico. Same kind of thing. Very cheap too for your dollars.
Laos needs a good advertisement video for tourist spots. I'm watching every tourist spots of ASEAN countries because I'm reviewing for ASEAN quiz bee and in my observation all videos of Laos tourist spots has few views and likes I guessed the problem is the video itself because the editing is so bad it's not attractive, the sound doesn't match, it has no voice over and the intro really suck making it so boring. Laos is a very beautiful country it just need to be known.
Theravana Buddhist monks have 2 meals per day, lunch is taken before noon usually around 11:00. Once the monk stopped eating got to completely do so, after that only liquid could be taken until next morning after alm offering.
Finally a good insight that shows you what Laotiom culture and nature have to offer with good tips which seem to come as if they were from a local instead of a phony overedited vlog that full of cheesy techno music which tells you where you can pose for instagram and even dont manage to pronounce LAOS properly bc all what mattered was just being in one more foreign country. Anyway enough whining about standard travel vloggers. I've already subscribed to your channel now for your gr8 content! 🙂
Hello Int Couple! Thank you for your Videos! My boyfriend and I are now in Luang Prabang and watching your clip again brings sentimental value as we watched it right before we left home in CT about 8 months ago. Your videos stood out to us when researching SE Asia because of your down to earth approach. We started by exploring Bali/Nusa Penida onto Kuala Lumpur then Cambodia to visit Koh Rong Sanloem, then Siem Reap to visit Angkor, then Hanoi Vietnam ended up wwoofing for a month in northern vietnam/visiting cat ba island before making our way to Vientiane Laos/ vang vieng/ phonsavan to see plain of jars and now currently luang prabang! It sure has been a wonderful adventure so far, incredible the insight and appreciation for life that traveling will give. Keep posting up your videos as you have 2 fans that truly love watching you guys; as no other videos compare to your quality / energy. THANK YOU - Adam and Adella
Love getting messages like this! Thanks Adella 🙏🏼🙏🏼Glad you like our style and glad we could help with your travels! LOTS more to come from some really amazing places 😃
I have now discovered the channel and I am delighted! I loved the way they film, how they edit the video! Congratulations! Won another person answer the next video!
This video as usual is awesome! My bf and I just got back from Lisbon and Porto and we used your Portugal vid series to help plan our time there. Thank you for always delivering!!!
As a Lao citizen, thank you for making such a very good video 💕. There are a lot of beautiful water fall in the south of Lao, if you love waterfalls you are always welcome to the south of Lao 💕
Its a beautiful country but unfortunately i found it today, there is a country named Lao while i was searching my native Countries in google map. Anyway, great to know about your country.
I visited Laos, 8 times... I love the capital city so much.... especially the time, when the Mekong River didnt have a highway yet. But I will forever love VANG VIENG.
We've been in Thailand, cambodia and now Laos that we heard very little about so didn't have any expectations but so far it's my favorite country. Very beautiful and people here are so nice. I wanna stay here
Nice video. We're on our way up to LP today for a visit. As an aside, there is no such thing as very unique. Unique stands alone, there is no comparison.
First time seeing u guys. You guys did a great informative job. Inspired me to see Cambodia when i come to Thailand this year. Being gracious in the Asian countries is priceless and it seems a lot of people there are that way.
I know you guys probably get it all the time but... YOU ROCK!!! your my favs and always inspiring me to do better on my own travel videos... keep it up!!!
I'm glad you guys are finally showcasing your videos from Laos. I remember that you guys lost a lot of footage from your 1st visit. Keep up the great work!
Thank you for this blog, guys! I have a question though that I have to worry in my mind is that what season is the best for Laos , of course also for Kuang Si fall. I just don't get the term of season.. and would you please confirm me about what I was considering is like after my school year times ( How about October, November and I can get in April and for May ,too) What do you guys think the best option is? Thank you so much, guys!
I’m packing my backpack now 😂. The alms round morning ceremony to monks, the waterfalls which I’ve never seen in any other video with the your style of slow-motion editing shows the greatness of the waterfalls, the stupa on top of the hill - stunning and kick my acrophobia away 😅, the food stall especially the vegetarian vendor where the stall looks clearer and organised well, I love it. Thanks for your great introduction about Luang Prabang 🙏👍👍
Wow. Looks like we overlapped. We literally just posted our Luang Prabang video moments ago too. The alms giving is truly a beautiful ceremony. And Luang Prabang is maybe our favourite place in Southeast Asia.
WOW! Definitely want to go now! I was thinking of waiting till later cause tickets in and out of LP are expensive, but dang. Soooo pretty! And tasty! And fun!!!!
Nice video. Am glad to have learned about this beautiful country Laos. This walking street market is similar to one in Kenya. Please consider visiting Kenya too.
Lao had Buddhism long before 14th century. Theravada Buddhism is what was introduced to Lao in 14th century and that is when Luang Prabang got it's new name. It's former name was Xieng Dong Xieng Tong and before that in the 7th century it was called Muang Sawa or Sua. The Lao Baci Ceremony is much older than Buddhism. It's from the early Brahminisn which is even before Hinduism.
I'm a Laotian American and have never visited Luang Prabang,Laos. Thanks for sharing your experience with us all. The next time my wife and I visit Laos,we are defintely going to check out Luang Prabang. Khup-jai lie-lie derrr. 🙏🇱🇦🇺🇲😎
