Consistently the VAG cars of Kushaq and Virtus have higher safety scores than any TATA or Mahindra cars. Not to mention the 5 star rating for child occupants as well. The Indian VAG's are far superior to any cars in India.

Recently I have taken a buying decision on basis of platform used for making the car. Decided to take one from Heartech and another one from Global C Platforms of Suzuki. As you said Heartech is light weighted and more preferably for city rides and often in mid range highway rides. For city rides, chosen Heartech based Glanza. On the other hand, Global C Platform based Grand Vitara for long drives. I will consider the platforms used for my next upgrade too.
Super na detailed research, that too when I heard “Peugeot” from you whose engine was used in last gen bolero felt goosebumps, I heard many people mocking Citroën about its reliable petrol engine, but people never know the 2.2 engines of Tata & Mahindra was sourced from stellantis who designed the engine blocks of that engine!! Proud that I’m owning one of its kind engine in the current gen.. definitely c3 turbo is rocket 🚀 🔥

Wonderful piece of information! I have a TATA Altroz ,such ah great build and designed car, the only thing I regret about altroz is its engine. The 3 cylinder struggles a lot for pickup at lower end. And most importantly service experience of Tata motors haunts me more than the engine. Things to be noted before getting altroz.

My choice is MQB A0 IN, just because all the 4 cars are giving great drivability. This podcast gave a worry that already diesel engines are going off, sedans are going off, cross overs are ruling the industry means body on frame cars also going off. Though you mentioned ICE cars also there will be in the future but any body on frame ICE car will be there??!!

If the car platform is good then the engine is bad (Tata), if the engine is good , then the platform is bad (Maruti), if both are good then price is over 12L ( rest of cars manufacturers)😅 Mudiyala 😄

Most of their roads had 100 kmph speed limit adhula oru sharp left ah easy ah corner panuchu vandi. That was a steep turn and the driver handled it very well. Andha car avlo stable ah irundhuchu cornering la.! Avara appreciate kuda panen because corner enter aagumbothu 120- 80 kmph ku speed ah drop panni , corner ah exit aagumbothu 100 ku smooth ah rev panaru, most importantly andha RPM ah correct ah maintain panaru..! The car was well built and I didn’t experience any bodyroll or the car going out of the lane marking. It was a precise and calculated move and that showed how a chassis platform is very very important to handle such cornering speed and keeping it stable.
In our India, exorbitant taxes consume stability.

NCAP vs ANCAP
Nowadays safety ratings have become an important parameter.
NCAP, ANCAP, etc., What is the difference.
What are the criteria in NCAP they are considering? One day they said Renault triber got 1 star rating, suddenly they say 4 star rating. I personally feel triber is not so sturdy but worthy according to price.
Similarly ANCAP in Australia they are saying 0 star rating for Mahindra Scorpio N. A separate podcast regarding the safety rating parameter is most appreciated.

I am planning to get a used diesel car, but I was confused between the 2018 Verna (BS4) and the 2020 Ford Ecosport (BS6) both are almost the same price tag of 10 &11L Respectively. Which one is best of these two based on reliability & Driveability.

TATA's ALFA platform.....As u said asir...just replace the engine with k12 or 1.O TSI ....Altroz is the best small car ...Period.
Replace with 1.5 tdci ...it will be a beast .
Forget everything. replace 1.5 Revotorq from Nexon, or even better 1.5 new Revotron engine from next gen Harrier it will be scortcher like never seen before.

Why is Toyota Strong engine - hybrid engine in Indian Union a 3 cylinder engine?
Isn't 4 cylinder more redined than latest 3?
Also, Prius in US is 4 cylinder hybrid for 20+ years. Why change to 3 Cylinders for IU?
I haven't learnt much about Platforms, thanks to MotoWagon for talking about Platforms too. As far i know, I'll mention Cars which were with proper build like tank doors and bonnets which gave true thud effect. Toyota is built good but not proper Thud is seen. VW/Skoda's Polo/Rapid, Octavia/Jetta old gen gave proper Thud effect. Ford Endeavour and Fiesta Classic, can't forget the Thud it gives. World's best Thud tbh. It's different kind of sound, even after closing, some kind of lock effect will be heard. Next is Pajero Sport and Montero, smooth yet thud is felt. Then is old Ambassador and Bolero, it sound like Truck.

I oppose the unwarranted blockage of Isuzu engines and platforms 😂. On a lighter note , but still feel hurt as Isuzu powered my first car - Contessa classic with a 2.0 litre isuzu diesel added later. Those were the days when diesel was 24 Rs per litre.

All manufacturers shall perform a life cycle analysis and it should be compulsory per law. A min of 10 years should be there and life tax shall be based on this.
my personal question. I am having a budget of 8lac for our first car. planning to buy Fronx. Any alternates or how it's going to perform against punch, especially in terms of safety and others.
Go for nios. Better interiors
The Fronx base variant onroad cost will be more than 8L, you can consider buying baleno sigma which is the same platform if you are a mature driver. If you are new to driving you can opt for the tiago(can last upto 3 years or 1L kms without major issues)
Fronx or baleno will not come near to punch's platform (alpha). Tata cars are hit or miss due to its engine reliability and poor service network!
Better you can go altroz mid varient you get more space and you feel the better driving experience

@@vignesh_vadivel my test drive experience Share you and you can guide me if I wrong first i drive citrion c3 1.2 four cylinders suspension ok but if you go more than 100 kmph you can feel vibrant on wheel also cost cutting very evident i reject , second one i test drive Nissan magnite build quality nominal and this turpo charge purpose suprb but same more vibration on car also Nissan service and after sales i not having confident third one i test drive i20 alpha optional over all good package. But cost wise it will reach you 10.5 lac but for this cost driving comfort not feel good , safety rating also 3 star only finally i test drive altroz petrol bs6 phase 2 engine very good and overall value for money the comfort and driving is very excellent now i am planning to test drive diesel varient after only I need to deside i 20 or altroz
