    That M6 is rocking m8. Nothing better than a film Leica and a day wandering the streets.

    I too have a 35 Color Skopar and an M6 and share your enthusiasm for the two. I’m gobsmacked at how wonderful the lens is: sharp, compact, quick and reliable. It punches way, way beyond its price.

    There is something about that grainy “filmic” black & white look that seems to carry more emotion. I love the sharp contrast from a high-res digital sensor, but this is something great in its own different way.

    Love seeing the notification with your new content on my screen.
    When I got my M6 all I had was 35mm f1.7 from Voigtländer the older version with the screw mount. I had a blast. Now I have 28f2 and 50f1.5. both great lenses from Voigtländer. Unfortunately I have just found out that my M6 needs a CLA as it developed a sticky shutter at speeds 1/500 and above. Cant wait to get it fixed, it's my favourite camera in the world ❤️

      Thank you man! I sent my M6 to RedDotRepair in between Africa and Peru and he did an awesome job. It was full of sand and kindof in need of TLC. Highly recommend. Tell him I sent ya. Appreciate you watching.

It’s great to see some of the wider world during these restricted times, the look on your face when your pal was filming you at the top of the mountain was brilliant, I felt your joy. I use a Summarit-M 35 2.5 with my M6. I purchased it second hand and near mint a lot of years ago for a very reasonable price. It's the only Leica M lens I own (I use some R lenses with my Pana S5). Like you, I'm a 50 mm guy, so I think is time to get a good nifty fifty for my M6 and I will go for the new Voigtlander 50 2 Apo-Lanthar. Voigtlander seems to be always a wise choice. Nice photos. Love your videos, man. Greetings from Spain.

Really enjoying your stuff and I’m also shooting next to no digital now. For such a small relatively unknown lens it well deserves its reputation among those who know. May I ask how did you use a lens like to make images in low light situation as in some of your images ? I owned the screw mount version long time ago and loved it so much. The "upgrade" to my current 35 Summarit did not make my images any better. Probably slightly sharper wide open, but I wouldn't care. Actually your M6 seems to have light leak issues. Light leaks should not show up this way in any of the images. This can be fixed of course. BTW - awesome pics, as usual. Thanks for sharing your great content.

I am lucky to have the 35mm Summicron and recently purchased a 50mm Zeus lens as I hadn’t had a change of format for 5 or so years. My man. Yes good buy loved that lens on the M2 and M6 and have the cron v4. I got the cron v4 in 89 and IMO forgedahbout lusting for it. Voigtlander's lenses are solid and an insane value especially if you are shooting film. I ended up selling the Skopar and got the latest version MC 35 Classic Nokton to replace it as i always needed just a little more light gathering and that lens is pretty small as well. Nokton MC most fun on color film, B King best glow any stock, Skopar best tech. and solid on any stock IMO. Also love tmax 100 at iso 125. Use to burn a brick a month back in the day and soup it in HC110 del. B. Trust me. If you don't need the speed you got the right one and the Skopar would work better on an M10 IMO if you ever go there based on what you shoot and 2.5 is a non issue once off film for me. I bet you will come to love 35 focal length. You should use the crop mode on your Q2!! do a vid on that! I get it bla bla it is still a 28 but very well corrected and coming from a forever 35 shooter (but i do like the 28) i find that the Q2M i finally pulled the trigger on gives me a look i want shot in 35 crop mode and i get frame lines to use like on M. It gives all the open-ness I love of 28 but the FOV i love of 35. Cannot explain the look but very different than say the x100F with its 23mm on a crop sensor giving 35 effective. That combo actually feels to me like a 35 actual not a 23. Again, can't explain but would love to see a vid and hear your opinion on Q2 in 35 crop mode. I actually would have wanted a Q2M with a 35 lux over 28 but have to say i dig the 28 cropped look so much maybe not now that i have it. Only wish i got an actual 30 mp DNG when in crop mode and not the full 47 that i am not using!! Damn these Q2 files are huge!!!!! cheers.

    I simply love your videos - but not as much as I love and adore your photography. You are simply a brilliantly gifted and visionary photographer - something I envy, eventhough I try hard to get there! I myself found I needed a little wider than my Summilux 50 to shoot on my M6, and I bought the 35mm Summarit (reduced price since they have been taken out of production from Leica). Now I find it difficult to decide whether to use the 35 og the 50 on a regular shoot of street photographing. Would love to hear your thoughts on that subject - I know it's a classic dilemma. Thanks and keep on doing it !

    • @adventureStaley
      @adventureStaley  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you very much Stig!
      The choice of lens is so personal. Some people only use one focal length their whole lives. I think if you stop and think about it you will know the answer. Don't think about what you might miss, think about the size that calls to you.
      Or.. Make a point to make at least one image a day for a month with the same lens. Dont touch the other one. Then switch for a month. Se what feels best.
      Good luck!
