this was my reaction as well. Daytona was my first bike and first sport bike I've ever ridden and I laughed uncontrollably sadly after a year of having it I hit a deer at night. sad day. so I bought a 1299. and it was even better.
I own a Daytona 675r and a speed triple RS. The Daytona is the only bike I’ve ridden to date that makes me yell out loud at full power. It’s just so much fun. The riding position isn’t for everyone but makes for a more connected feel and makes cornering a pleasure.
All you need. 13:50. I’ll repeat what he said earlier. NO BEGINNERS. This will get you in trouble or hurt if you are not mature or experienced enough. It’s a dangerous combination of fast and light.
When do we see more of your speed Triple? Now you have riden the tuono .... and as I’m someone looking to upgrade from my street triple ..... would be interested to hear your thoughts on the differences.
This has to be the best review of any motorcycle i have ever seen, you had me laughing the whole way through, i own a daytona and you never forget your first ride on one...once again fantastic review
I'm looking forward to this segment, but your first impression of her speed make me a little doubt on myself, and yeah I'm not a beginner, but still doubt my skills because I've never been on the super bike
Don't doubt yourself buddy, the fact you do tells me you're not a fool, just don't twist the wrist too much I was a bit nervous about stepping up to a 1000rr but you can cruise at slower speeds until you get used to the power, then one day you find yourself opening it up and loving it My biggest adjustment was getting used to the extra weight and it still feels heavy if I jump on after riding my other bikes I'm also lucky enough to own a matte black Daytona 675r and a 600rr Ride safe
Intresting fact about most triumph bikes is that they are actually assembled in Thailand and triumph just put the brand name on the bikes...saying that still fantastic bikes
Hi m.c... I had a 2014 street triple after running sensible bikes it turned me( till I sold it) into a hooligan !!!!!goodness knows what would of happened if I had a daytona 😈😊which is higher tuned...cheers from dave... from the home of truimph... england..
Chooch Greatest vid ever man!!! Awesome!!!! The suspension is exactly the same as my Thruxton R. The suspension NEEDS to be set for your weight and riding style. This is critical for setting the bike up. Go to Dave Moss Tuning for the info on setting the bike up! He is a Genius setting up bikes!!!
I was gonna go with a '17 cbr1000rr... but you said this is a perfect beginner bike(several times:p), thanks bud. My fate is in your hands for that. Bahaha
I would love to see triumph make a full blown superbike. 1000+ cc full fairing triple. Triumph is probably my favorite manufacturer but they don’t make anything in my favorite category of bike. Maybe in a few years when my back is tired of a sport bike I’ll buy a speed triple.
Rocket3Guy no thanks lol. You couldn’t pay me to own a rocket. I’m into bikes that preform well in all categories. Handling and braking are very important to me. high horsepower cruisers don’t make sense to me. Sure the acceleration is fun but then the corner comes and you drag peg as you run wide into a semi trying to chase down a 1990s Japanese 600 that some ass bought on Craigslist for 1000 bucks.
Rocket3Guy not to mention the poor aerodynamics/wind protection which you’ll notice anytime you choose to push the bike a little bit. Just not my taste. I used to have an r6 but sold it to get into off road motorcycles. I’m saving for an s1000rr.
@@husky701rider9 Gee, that tells me you haven't ridden a Rocket. The Rocket rides and handles like a sport bike and I've left more than a few sport bikes in the dust on the twisties!!! I have the 2017 Thruxton R and a YZF600R track bike. I could do a track day on the Rocket and still be somewhere in the "A" group...
@@husky701rider9 I have zero issues with wind on the Rocket. It rides beautifully at 85 with no issues at all and I only have the small fly screen on it.
My dream bike...

You're never too old Chooch!
Yip. I'm 71 and still riding a Daytona.
I got an ST 955i with the triple...looks like we have a winner for the next bike...all the things you said and...Oh and it looks fanstatic.

No doubt about this being a HONEST REVIEW....that scream is more than just HONEST!!!....
motoChooch You are the best!!!
Funny review, probably laugh to my grave what you'd say riding my moto2 765.

Figured out a long time ago that supersports tuck positions are just not for me.

Triumph is creating the next gen Rocket!!!! I already have the latest but the next one will be epic....
