I think that's why they decided to not release a patch when Slayer drops. They're definitely watching Tempest especially after EVO Japan like they did with Mocchi and Sol.

This makes Tempest the CB Strive champion for a third year in a row, that's insane. First in 2022, took it over Umisho, then took it over Zando in 2023. Now takes it over Zando again this year. Tempest is the absolute GOAT at this game, no doubt.

@@atbtrendy9932 True, Verix has been Tempest's bad matchup, he also lost to Verix at Evo. But I still think Tempest is the best because of sheer consistency. It's possible that Verix might actually be the GOAT if he just travelled more and won more tournaments. But as it currently stands Tempest is the most winningest player.

Was Asuka's 2D not yet active? How did Sol slide through?
Judging by dustloop's hitbox image, it was probably already active. But I think Umi starts the drift RC out of its range, and if the startup doesn't get hit you won't get hit until after the timestop ends (happens a lot when you BRC forward into a hitbox post-wallbreak). Since she goes from timestop directly into an invul dp it doesn't matter if she drifted into the active hitbox. That's my analysis, can't be sure it's correct. Pretty wild sequence

Don't know what it is but, I really enjoy watching Asuka and Happy Chaos play.
Idk happy chaos I don’t find fun or Interesting, Asuka is uninteresting many times but some players are nuts and make him unmissable. Zando vs. Gobou at evo Japan was one of the craziest sets of guilty gear I’ve seen.
