I actually met one of these guys today.
He was a UK basket ball player and trained for 2 years to plau volley ball for the olympics... really inspiring man.

I like how GB goes crazy for every point they get when most of the time it isn't a big deal. Also for most of the game they played like they'd never played together before
SirEpicCheese that’s because GB don’t actually have a volley ball team...
In volleyball, just one point is massive, it's a step closer to winning or closing a point gap and it can be a big motivational boost for your team. Every point is worth it, even if it does seem meaningless in the long run.
Italian were playing with 2 liberos - Giovi stayed in reception, Bari was on court when they served. And Fei can play as an opposite.

libero is the best position. i play for the gb junior team
Let's be honest, the libero is the most boring and underwhelming position in the entire game. If you disappeared, the game wouldn't be any less fun...
@@sufiankhan1 But beside the setter, libero is the most important. Without a libero you wouldn't have a stable defence, which would result in the setter not having a ball to set meaning no points. It all leads back to a recieve.
@@sufiankhan1 without the libero the defence will be very weak as middle blockers are not well trained in defence. They also help in picking up rebounds and provide the spikers the proper movement time.

@@mmmtastyalidzie2435 I mean this volleyball team was a random selection of people who wanted to be in this team like there was basket ball players in it as well, I’m sad we don’t do volleyball anymore because I’m in a team and now I know I’ll never be at national level, but even tho the men only have a couple years of volleyball experience their jump serves are very powerful

Please remember that the British team had to qualify to get into the Olympics. Maybe it was easy for them, but still, not the best team.

In mens volleyball knee pads are not worn as much as in women's volleyball. Idk the reason why but most ppl dont wear knee pads
For GB volleyball is too demanding: too many skills, quick thinking. Let's keep it simple- cricket, football, darts.
