I couldn't have seen this at a better time than now. I recently asked Lord Jesus to come into my Life as my Lord and Saviour. I started drawing again after 20 years as if I never stopped from 16, and everyone close to me are amazed at how beautiful my drawings are. I never drew this well from what I can remember. Whilst drawing I heard a voice telling me to stop chasing all Worldly Possessions and to help people in need. Praise the Lord 🙏🏼
Amen. God is merciful. He always forgives. Never be ashamed to take your failures to him. He is for you, not against you! God is with you in the storm. He knows your troubles, he hears you! He is for you, on your side, always! It may feel silent at times, but he’s holding you close! May the Lord return soon! We are drawing closer. He is coming! I've somehow felt in my heart these verses where Jesus talks about money were man made and inserted into the Bible. I say this because in a few chapters prior the only time Jesus became physically mad was over money. He hated it. It is a construct of Satan. Matthew 21:12 And Jesus went into the Temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the Temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves, 13 And said to them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer: but ye have made it a den of thieves. 1 Timonthy 6:6 But godliness is great gain, if a man be content with that he hath. 7: For we brought nothing into the world, and it is certain, that we can carry nothing out. 8: Therefore when we have food and raiment, let us therewith be content. 9: For they that will be rich, fall into tentation and snares, and into many foolish and noisome lusts, which drown men in perdition and destruction. 10: For the desire of money is the root of all evil, which while some lusted after they erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

The more I walk with God the more He encourages an exploration of why people do what they do. What if the laziness Derek refers to in this parable has more to do with a lack of faith? People generally do what they believe will provide a good return including things like fun, enjoyment, satisfaction or avoidance of pain for example. But if we believe that following God fails to provide a good return or that God Himself is good then this could lead us to ignore His teachings and commandments. Maybe laziness has a lack of faith in the goodness of God at its root which is one of many key problems that need addressing when deciding to maximise our God given gifts.
I don’t believe the wicked servant is referring to saved Christians who don’t use their spiritual gifts. God will never cast His children into outer darkness and have them wail and gnash their teeth. No, I believe the “wicked servant” is the unsaved man who rejects God. He has been given life and knowledge of God through the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and yet he rejects Christ, takes all he has been given for granted, and doesn’t serve God. This is why he is deemed wicked and cast into the outer darkness of hell.
