Yeah the SL1 the SL2 sw1 sw2 in the Saturn coupe automatic or manual were your only choices SL1 the SL2 was a twin cam motor. But it was priced very respectively you didn't argue with the car salesman the price.
@@davinp I agree - GM tried to take the Saturn brand "upmarket" toward the end which failed miserably predictably - GM should have continued and grew its collaboration with Toyota and turned Saturn into a brand for modest high MPG cars offering versions of the Prius and Echo instead of the ill-fated Chevy Prizm/Pontiac Vibe clones.
For me a bad car is an unreliable car. Many cars mentioned here are perfectly good cars, but don't meet the American expectations. The rest of the world is perfectly able to hit the highways in a 60 horsepower car, but Americans seem to need at least 200 horsepowers, while driving in the US is slower than driving in Europe.
GM was scrambling to come out with a minivan to compete with Chrysler. A problem with the design is the sharp glass edges on the front door. GM had to put a warning sticker
We only had the Trans Sport in Germany and to this day i'd love to have a white one of those - with black lettering 1701-D on the side, it's a frigging type 6 shuttlecraft from ST:TNG on wheels!
Disagree with Saturn being a bad car. These were extremely popular cars back in the day, were well built and an example of GM snatching defeat out of the jaws of victory thanks to corporate infighting over having a division in the company that nobody wanted.
Saturn's on this list? I owned 2, both purchased new, and drove each for 6 plus years until selling without any problems with high miles. They were actually quite nice cars in my opinion.
The Saturn S series were quite reliable. With the 1.9 sohc motor. The later L series were more troublesome. And the Previa has a cult following among mini van enthusiasts
I had a 1997 Ford Aspire in college, overall it was a good car. no major issues in the four years I had it. The 1994 was probably a bit worse, though I was always told, you should always wait 3-4 years after a new model car comes out to give the automaker time to work out the bugs. Besides, they build the car for over 5 years, thats a pretty good run for a suppose it bad car.
90s Honda Odysseys weren't the ones with the major issues, (that's the second gen), and tbh an aesthetic styling that one MAY not like shouldn't be a reason that it makes the WORST cars of the 90s.
I was cruising up Sunset Point North of PHX and on the hill a Caravan blasted past everything up that hill. I said I gotta get one . I've had dozens . And I got the Chevy minivan and at 225.000 miles fully loaded with a trailer would blast up that hill 100mph to the flea market . But I never could steer the dam thing . Just something about the Chevy ... It's just different
He mentioned the nisson quest in this video, mercury villager was made roght along side. I had a villager and loved everything about it, it got totaled or i would have had it for much longer if i hadn’t
And yet the previa called the tarago in Australia was a humongous success much like Chrysler minivan in the US. But when the Chrysler minivan made it to Australia it was a bucket of puss that very few liked
My mom owned a 99 Saturn almost new had it for 7 yrs gave it to me whith 194 thousand miles on it and I drove it for 3 more yrs and sold it whith 246 thousand miles on it great great car ❤
Disagree on the Saturn. It was cheap yes but actually pretty reliable I've seen them with 3-400k. Not a luxury car but not priced like one either. The Previa, while slow and weird, could go as far as 3 or4 Chryslers with their crap transmissions.
A couple of points about this video l don't firstly the Toyota Privia known as the Tarago very popular in Australia and still are the next generation Tarago plenty still driving around then Toyota stopped selling the Tarago in Australia but then we got the JDM Estima another extremely popular people mover also the Honda Odessy another popular people mover in Australia still sold in Australia from Honda dealers many still around even the first generation and actually owned a Ford Festiva (Aspire) and it was a very good car another popular car in Australia infact l got confused one time in a shopping centre parking lot what l thought was our Ford Fiesta and it wasn't great little car and we took my daughters Ford Festiva on a trip long way from home and it was very good sat on 100kph very nicely as for the Suzuki X90 l am still confused by it also liking Suzuki's but l asked the question what is it but believe it or not l actually found a use for them in the UK they have what are called trials an ameture rally were put two wheel drive vars through muddy and rocky stages any vehicle can be entered as long the vehicle is two wheel drive and the Suzuki X90 absolutely shines many compeditors use them
I almost can't believe I stuck out the entire video to be fair, but the first 5 minutes were enough. Reported for slander, overuse of fighting words, and using an already overworked AI voice instead of at least narrating it yourself to boot. (I'll give you points for script writing though: some of it was pretty good.)
BMW 318ti and VW Minivan (in Germany simply called T4) were european cars with great successes in Europe. But seemly too small for Americans. Of course, when gas costs nearly nothing and people must live in their cars...
Those Saturn's were very reliable. Don't know why they are on this list.
yes, when they first started. But later Saturns weren't as reliable. GM mismanaged Saturn. Saturn wasn't supposed to be similar to GM's other brands

Those cars are trash the body panels are made from plastic.💩🗑🤦♂️🤷♂️
@@Angel-fu4td Uh yeah that was on purpose lol one of Saturn's claims to fame was having rust/dent resistant body panels.

A.I. narration aside.... the writing is really good.
Regardless, this brings back many memories. Thank you!

The Monte Carlo should have never been FWD. It should always be a RWD personal luxury coupe.
a chubby friend of mine rolled an Aspire at 50+ speeds, a totaled car but he got out relatively healthy

Lose the AI narration
The early Nissan Sentra was a parts house dream! Everything on that car was rubbish! Including the internal engine parts! LOL!!
The Previa was slow and weird, but it was reliable.
But still slow and weird...
And sells gangbusters around the world
is this an AInarrator? "Antie-ater"??
Saturn s were great cars!
Many of the cars on this list were actually quite good. I can't really get on board with this list.
I find this to be quite the hilarious roast session
I had a 91 Saturn SL2. It was an excellent car. Don't know why it's on this list.
Another car to add ford tempo/topaz
"Ass Spire" ....Lol😂
Anti-eater...lmao
Wow what the hell made this crap.
Enjoyed the snark!

The Subaru X-90 was inspired by the AMC Metropolitan, and paved the dirt road for the SmartForTwo.
I had a 94 Aspire, he was spot on with that one, worst car I ever owned, got better gas mileage from my Ford pickup
Lol the Mercury Crapi!!!😂
LOL ! Funny Video, and I remember most of those monstrosities, which was very sad because i also remember the STYLE of the 70s.
My second comment tonight
Your videos are the best
The Preview was a weird egg shaped van
*Previa
any car on this list has better build quality than 86%of cars made today. even the garbage ones could last, now a battery car is dead in 6 years
I still would rock a Dustbester Van as a daily in a heartbeat, I liked them when they came out, i still like them to this day
Toyota previa, they still get around today and is reliable as ever
The Chrysler mini vans should made the list, they were bad
I had a 91 Capri xr2 most reliable car I ever owned ! Saturns are reliable as well thelis video is misleading !
Just as hilarious as part 1
My sons when they were boys called the Previa Egg on wheels!
"Anti Ater" Nose LOL..... Oh Mr. AI 🤣🤣

The first Honda Odyssey was a mini mini van
I think the VW Euro van is called the VW Transporter T3 in Europe
Well, it is the T4.. And outside America it was a very popular van/camper, and way better built than any Chrysler in the 90's.
I would love to find a nice dustbuster can they are so unique
And yet the previa called the tarago in Australia was a humongous success much like Chrysler minivan in the US. But when the Chrysler minivan made it to Australia it was a bucket of puss that very few liked
I typed up 90s cars and this was posted.
I think the X 90 is cute. What few left are cult classics.
I wonder if Doug demuro could review the H3?
Bs!! Those vans rocked!! Sorry millineal AI .

é tudo GOSTO. eu acho LINDOS.
I dunno how this ai waited for a car to come out.. ai cant drive a car with a cable gas pedal and actual steering not a motor
Saturn was the most reliable out of gm.
You want ugly? Look at that piece of shit Tesla made
The Yugo is the worst car ever. Cheaply built, so it fell apart
not really
