I love all your new fabrics especially the rust and the red- which I think will make a fabulous Fleur top. The tie dye dress is beautiful on you. Good Luck re-creating your special dress. Sorry I cannot help with pattern suggestions! Happy Sewing 😊. Lynne
Ooh. Hi Sam, I was literally just going to say have a look at the Betty Dress by SOI when I spotted somebody else had beaten me to it. I believe there is an expansion pack too which means you can have lots of slightly different bodices. Always love your videos, thanks for sharing. 😀
Hi Sam, thank you for another lovely video. Cashmerette patterns have a pattern similar to your dress, I can't remember the name of it though. Happy sewing, best regards Julia.
I think you might be referring to The Upton dress, I do actually have this pattern but I’d totally forgotten about it 🤦🏼♀️ Thanks for watching Julia x
Lovely video Sam ❤ enjoying watching while sewing! Oh my goodness I totally get the not wanting to be uncomfortable on your tummy - deffo an age thing 😢 Oh my goodness that rainbow gingham 😍😍😍 it is so lush - I can not wait to see what you make with it!!! Good luck with recreating your dress. Ha ha love you did a lucky dip with your WIPs that’s so funny 😂. But well done - you did it 💪🏼 Have a fabulous time at the FOQ tomorrow and say hi to Adam for me 😊xx
Morning beautiful lady ❤️ I’m fairly determined to get through my WIps one way or another. Off to the festival today, I’ll definitely give Adam a squeeze from us all xx
Would you mind at some point doing a video explaining/showing how you do your shoulder adjustment? I’ve got the check Crafty Pie fabric and I’m thinking of trying the Holland Park (toiling first, obvs) as I think that would look lovely in it!
Definitely the Betry would be a great starting point for that dress! It would be really pretty! That’s all very exciting about festival of quilts!!!! Lovely fridaysews as always ❤❤
Hi Sam, a lovely video 😊. I just love the rust patterned fabric you plan to make up using the Patina blouse pattern. The fabric looks like it will be a beautiful weight and texture. Right now we have our heater on as it is quite cold here. Winter is actually quite lovely here and one of my favourite seasons. Wishing you happy sewing. 🌸
Yes it is a lovely shirt weight fabric, I was so glad when it arrived. I was thinking of making the new Friday pattern shirt, the Burtano, I think it’s called xx
I have the same fabric as you in the BTPD box, it's a liberty print! ive never had liberty fabric before 😁 I see people have recommended the Betty dress from sew over it and I agree that's a good dupe for your dress or the deer and doe zephyr dress!
@@SewLetsSparkleWithSam I’m thinking maybe a slightly hacked Megan Nielsen Matilda shirt dress, I’m not a fan of the wide waist band on it, as I’m so short I thought I might be able to get rid of that and put the skirt straight to the bodice this fabric would look nice as that I think 🤔
Hope you enjoyed the festival. And that your CLC order has now arrived, I used them for the first time this week, ordered Tuesday evening and they came Thursday lunchtime which was great. (They were delivered by Evri which I know some people have problems with but locally they're reliable.)
Is your celebration dress princess seams? Have a look at the Cashmerette Upton that I made for the wedding last week. They do Princess seam variations and the sleeveless gored skirt version would work.
You can’t beat Flamingo Prints. They must literally have a Time Machine. Their stuff arrives almost before I order it and they are so good they will call you if they don’t understand your order exactly or if you have done it wrong
Thank you , lots of people have suggested the Betty dress. I’ve not always been impressed with Sew over it patterns but I’ll definitely check it out xx
Hi Sam I have a dress pattern Butterick B4443 if you are interested,I do watch you all the time on youtube . but never comment .If do not want to give your address,I willpost it direct to your place of workk regards Christine happy sewing.

Sam that tie-dyed dress is very beautiful it looked very comfortable and cooling.
Thanks Zelda, I can’t wait to make some more x
Hi Sam, your original dress looks like the Sew over it Betty dress - same bodice and half circle skirt - would look good in the Pink door fabric.

No it has bust, waist and back darts.
I have the Upton pattern but never really looked at it 🤦🏼♀️
I’ll definitely consider it x
Oh no! CLC are normally quicker than that. Fab makes and fabric haul 🤩
Another vote for SOI Betty dress to recreate your dress 😊

@@angelagarrett-ek5bb I agree! ❤️🤩
Hi Sam. Have a look at the Sew Over It Betty dress for your recreation. It doesn’t have sleeves but it looks pretty much the same apart from that. 😊
Thank you , lots of people have suggested the Betty dress. I’ve not always been impressed with Sew over it patterns but I’ll definitely check it out xx
The thrifty stitcher has just brought out a book about cloning your favourite clothes, might be worth a look for your dress recreation ❤
I'll check it out!
Thank you
Have a wonderful time at Festival of Quilts!
I would definitely contact CLC, I always receive my patterns within 3/4 days.
I’m hoping they will arrive today 🤞🏻
Back to Flamingo!!!
