    Honestly, I just want to say thank you for all that you've been providing for the shoe community, and to those like me who have ankle/foot issues. I was in the Army and I had tons of issues with my feet and ankles over the duration of 5 years. I tore my ATL ligament in my left foot several times in service, and throughout that time I've suffered many severe ankle/foot sprains. Not only the pain that I go through, but every so often it's like my foot just seems weak. I try to implement different things such as different ankle braces, orthotics', and I've tried different stretches and recovery methods. Not a lot works, but even though my doctors know about this situation I want to avoid surgery incase it causes permanent damage. I have found that watching your videos I have learned so much more about the shoes that are out there that could potentially help me by simply watching your videos. I enjoy all the content, knowledge, examples, and break down of all the technology. My successes in avoiding hurting my ankle more has all come from watching and learning from you, for that I am grateful.
    However, I wish you could do a single video explaining ATL ligament damage, how to avoid it better, how to help heal it more, and what shoes you'd recommend for a guy like me with this issue. I'm, 5'10", 225, and I nearly have flat feet with a minor/average arch.
    Anyways, I just wanted to say thank you Doctor Zach, and may God bless you with all that you do.

    Best basketball shoe I’ve played in, I think, EVER! The comfort right out of the box is amazing, the ample space in the toe box is a thing of beauty, cushioning, lock down, everything, I really have no complaints. So good I bought another pair to keep stashed cause when you find something this good you gotta have back up

      Just copped last week. Used for the 3rd time today, grippy, comfy on the toes and secure heel lockdown (Dons had my heel popping out even laced tight). It was so hard to find ANY shoe with a wide toe box, loving these

    Dame 8 is a great shoe, and your advice to go down half a size for narrow feet was perfect. I play in DonJoy POD ankle braces and the rear of the brace just clears the amazing achilles pad in these shoes. Together, they are treating my feet and ankles really well. Great, great shoe, thinking of getting a backup pair. Thanks for the amazing reviews. Keep it up!

    Surprised that Zach as a wide footer is so happy about it. The Dame 8 have a very long and sharp toe box that easily squeezes ones toes even on both sides as a wide footer. If you size up, the toe box gets even longer and if you size down, the toes get even more squeezed.

I got them at a Footlocker on a discount for 80 euros, on my trip to Paris. The trip was really expensive, I thought I was going to go bankrupt after buying them. Whatever the performance stats are, they are my first and I like them. I got them protected, so I think that makes up for the damage weakness. I have practice tomorrow, so I'm going to test them. I was also wondering, if they are only for indoor or outdoor courts, or are they universal?

    Why do I find no shoe fits my feet the way I want them to fit unless I double up on socks ? Is that just the reality of not having tailored shoes ?

    • @FootDoctorZach
      @FootDoctorZach 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s pretty common among either narrow heeled people or some foot shapes
