Das Schöne ist, daß man hier, in You Tube, die Möglichkeit hat, soviel wunderschöne Musikstücke kennen zu lernen, die ansonsten leider praktisch nie aufgeführt werden. Viele dieser Kompositeure kann man gleichberechtigt den bekannten Klassikern an die Seite stellen.
I just came across a lone CD of this composer's work (three flute Concertos) yesterday, and I am so glad I purchased it. Never having heard his music before, I was delighted with the beauty of his works. So glad to have discovered him!!
My my...17 flute concertos, and this is the first one I have heard. I hope to come across the other 16 some day, if this work is a typical example. Thank you for uploading this.
The Baroque epoch gave the world so many magnificent composers that a modern person does not have enough life to listen to all the music they wrote. This composer was probably the last to write baroque music.

Seine Musik wird offenbar unterschätzt. So sind die Streichquartette wunderschön. Ich habe bis heute nicht nichts von ihm gewusst, zu meiner Schande.

Actually, on his Wikipedia page it says he wrote 25 flute concertos, and several chamber pieces featuring flute.
