Im from Newburyport MA and he's from west Newbury. It's funny because when he was first coming up he acted exactly like his wrestling persona. He had a pimped out purple impala with hydraulics and he acted like a dick. But that was also just a show, he is genuinely a good dude, still lifts weights at hard knocks in amesbury where he started. His bro dan dated my exes sister and I hung out with John a few times when he was around. He deserves everything he has. His mom still worked at the supermarket in our area forever even after he was famous
I seriously love John. I never watched him as a wrestler so I only know him really as an actor but his personality and knowledge and charm outshine it all.
He is always positive and he is always kind. You can see that it is a choice and he always works at it.

I was there in June 2002 at the Allstate Arena when I was 6 years old and I didn't know who this guy was, facing a mega star (Kurt Angle). What a time to be alive!
