Loving this series already! On our first wedding anniversary, we were in Frankfurt, where my husband was stationed with the US Army. I told him that to celebrate I wanted to go to dinner - in Rome! We drove over the Alps in a VW bug and had the most wonderful vacation, ending in Rome on our anniversary. We still reminisce about those fabulous days - 55 years later!! Now you are bringing back cherished memories. Thanks so much! 💕

Luisa, what a brilliant idea, a travel journal in a box! I traveled to Phnom Penh last year with a friend and my grandson. It was my grandson's extended family we visited. All of my paper collection is in a paper bag in my craft room. I am eager to watch as you create your box. It will give me ideas I can use to see reminders of my trip. Thank you so much for sharing your creativity. Hugs from Texas

It’s funny how critical we are of ourselves. Just before you said you don’t like your handwriting, I was thinking how cool your handwriting is lol. Can’t wait to see more footage from your trips & more of your creations

I’m looking forward to this series. I lived in Turkey, England then N. Italy for a total of 11 years. The idea of water from Rome melts my heart. I understand. Yes I’ve been to Austria many times. Mainly here. Schloss Heroldeck

Thank you for sharing and cannot wait too see what you have in store for us next. I love that bag. So many large pockets. My father i law was from Italy immigrated to the US as a youngster with his family. My father and mother-in-law went back for a vacation and they also visited Rome. They loved Rome and other places in Italy. That was many many years ago. Very interesting video . 👍🏻

Amazing-this introduction to your series is that and so much more. We have just begun to see Rome through your eyes, but only a few tantalizing bits, as if you have literally blinked a few times. And, with the insight your words-your wonderful, generous, energized, tumbling, thoughtful, perfectly nuanced…words (in a second language, no less…) we are most definitely in your head! Where we are the closest we will ever be to your art. I, for one, am honored. Incredibly, fantastically, and most humbly…honored. AND there’s more to come!!
    As I said in the beginning-A M A Z I N G ! !
Thank you, hardly says enough, but yes, thank you!

Your excitement is so wonderful. I am looking forward to seeing the rest of the trip that you will share with us. I’m impressed with how little you take with you. You are such an amazing artist Luise! You should embrace your handwriting because it says a lot about you, like: that you have good focus and concentration, but also that you are very kind and sentimental. So accept your handwriting because that's you and that's the person we love!

Hello Luise, what a cool idea. Oh and the word you were looking for was tissues. Can’t wait to see your awesome idea for this last trip. I’m so excited to see Rome. So much history there. And oh my gosh just got an idea. When I was just in UK and Portugal, Spain I took a ton of photos of of walls, sidewalks, stone, old doors and wood you name it I was snap I g pictures all day long for a challenge when I got back. Which is going on now in our group. But my idea is to do rubbing on stone walks or walls and use as backgrounds what cool idea for a background. I’m so glad you have found a place you enjoy visiting and is like a second home. I feel that way about the UK only because of the old buildings and the history. But my real history from family started in Germany back in the 1836 when they came to the states. Can’t wait for your next video. Hugs from Indiana

So encouraging that you showed your first couple of journals! It gives me hope that I, too, can develop my skills to a much higher level. You create masterpieces now, but I see that you didn’t just jump into journaling as an expert. Also, I like your handwriting. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you so much for this share, ideas and inspiration! I've crafted for years and dabbled in all sorts of crafts; but relatively new to junk journaling. Not sure where we're going on holiday this year, but this video has inspired my thinking. I very much wish I had seen this video before my trip abroad to go home last year; as I would have saved and brought back so much nostalgic materials and captured 'small things' in a different way.

We have five more days in Scotland before we head home. I want to see your next video so bad in case there are somethings I’m not thinking about picking up before we actually leave for home. Oh well, I’ll have the info for my next trip. Thanks so much for sharing!! I love watching your videos!

Oh Luise - it's so lovely to see you again after your latest trip to Rome. And I'm super excited about this 'series' - firstly because I will be going on a month long holiday to Europe later this year. Soooo, I'm eager to gather both pratical tips and inspiration before I go. Even just having some ideas about what to take for a weekend away is helpful. On my last 'mini-break', I shoved 'stuff' in a bag at the last minute, and then challenged myself to make something from what ever was in there - which actually worked out really well. However, with a larger expedition abroad, I'd like to be a bit more organised, so your expertise is going to be much appreciated!! (I'm already taking notes! 😄). P.S. I can understand how you feel about 'not being a tourist' when you are back in a city that you love - one of my greatest joys was to be able to 'live a day' in Paris without looking at a map or speaking much English. 🗼🧡💚🤎

Such an interesting video. I wish I’d had something like your setup when I took a trip with my parents to Europe when I was 12. I had to journal as part of my time off school & it was such a chore that I did a lot on the plane on the way home. But now I wish I’d captured more memories & if I were able to go travelling now, I’d love to pick up memories & mementos that I could use in art & include them in a similar way to you have.

I've been collecting papers and stuff without an idea of how I will use them. I also brought my regular diary but the space is very limited for extensive journaling. I need ideas.
