Just listening to this so again after years while this war between Russia and Ukraine is going on just hits me different. Especially when the children start singing along i get tears in my eyes.
It's a song of peace because Japanese lived the war and they know that there is never a winner to any war, only casualities. We need to understand each other if we wish to unite end it and unite the world under one flag.
Even if that happens it won't change the curruption and wrongs that people do, terrorists will spark up And independence will be declared it's happened numerous times just think of great britan It used to control nearly all the world, then the nations started to gain independence it's practically human nature
In the end, all Marina could do was compose a song. She was not the leader Azadistan needs. She was a pacifist. She is incapable of politics. She cannot give Setsuna the answers he needs. However annoyingly incompetent she was her intentions and resolve to find a bloodless solution for peace is admirable. If more people thought like her and sought out peace not through guns but through songs, maybe we can even share a cup of beer with our enemies and sing until we drop dead rolling in laughter. Naive, but a worthy ideal to go after.
In the end it was all about how influencial she truly was. Marina is like most of us every people. We are weak and we see things pass before our eyes, even so we dislike war and we try in any way we can, even if it's just a small bit to go against it by helping those in need

He verbally told me the moments that most gripped him from the anime just as stories. like the moment between Andrei and Smirnov, Louise revealing her arm… I thought they were cool stories. Years later I watched it myself without realising this was “that story that my brother told me about”. It fills me with nostalgia! I used to download and watch the episodes over and over on my tiny iPod. (Not iPod touch. The ones where there’s only five buttons). Again years later I then introduced this anime to my internet friend whom I had never met at that point but known for years. I just finished watching this series with my husband today- I still love and joke about gags and in jokes about this anime with my brother, I met my internet friend in person, I got married and shared this experience with someone I loved most and who understood me the most… And now I’m seeing your comment ! I think this Gundam 00 is a critics for the war in middle east. And this song is the hope for tommorow from that people especially the children who always life in war such as in middle east (several country and territory).

There are always someone like tha Ali al-Sancheez or Ribbons Almark that cannot be understand through communication or they just don't want to. This is why Celestial Being killed a lot of terrorists during a mission, However, is it because it is unachieveable because of them, then we should never try to reach peace? Clearly it isn't. So many people in this world are fighting for peace, or some people are fighting just because of misunderstanding each other. Through communication unnecessary wars can be prevented, and no wars are needed as we understand the others goals and achieve together, as long as the goals are not in contradiction with the other.
marina and setsuna would have made a perfect couple in my opinion only that i dunno . did they finally get together by the end of the the movie i wonder but marina was then already an old baba

This is such a beautiful melody. I want to make an advanced piano version for this (as genuine to the melody as possible). Perhaps if I were a Japanese the lyrics would make more sense to me? Coz I'm having trouble understanding the English translation. It sounds a bit random and that the phrases don't connect. Maybe it's just me? Anyhow, thank you for the effort! :)

Man even Setsuna in the end fighting for her ideal resolve. Maybe Marina annoying and weak character but her influence is top notch
