48 year old gamer here. Started my journey with my Atari 2600 somehow beating E.T. Always wanted to play Destiny but never pulled the trigger until all campaigns were made free before Beyond light and been playing ever since. I main a Warlock but also have a Hunter and a Titan. Have all the expansions, dungeon keys and seasons. Thing is, I’ve never done a raid and only done the prophecy dungeon twice when someone random for some reason invited me one day. Being always a lone gamer, the idea of a clan is scary to say the least and at 48, I think it is hard to find people to play with. I literally don’t know anyone in my life that games at this point, much less anyone who plays Destiny. I enjoy the game and your builds have been really useful and I hope this gloomy Destiny time we are in doesn’t affect you as much as a full time content creator. I hope tomorrow’s blog brings in some good news for the future of Destiny 2.

Same age here, I'm part of a clan but mostly go solo, or use the in-game fireteam finder for stuff I can't handle myself. I feel too old for this game sometimes, but love the buildcrafting, gameplay, and just being in the world of Destiny generally. The music, the gunplay, the environments, and Failsafe, bring me back again and again. I stay away from crucible nowadays and only play hunter or titan. Weird, because in D1 I always played warlock. It's nice to know I'm not alone, I wish you well.
The fact you did commentary on some of your hardest solo clears and offered your insights of the activity is what made me keep watching. Theirs few of you that do that. Thanx you!
You’re literally the reason I was able to get back into Destiny during Season of the Wish, the amount of things I accomplished such as GM clears, soloing exotic missions, helping new lights along the way, being able to understand and explain builds to newer or returning guardians… you’ve done a lot for me Tizzle. Thank you so much, and congrats on the new milestone. Currently taking a break from the game but I know due to your content I’ll never miss a beat when I come back.
As many others say they’re quitting destiny, or cutting back a lot, I’m glad to hear you’re getting into it more. Into the light and TFS was so much better than Lightfall, I don’t get why people are quitting now. I would have understood immediately following Lightfall.
Seriously! I don’t understand it either! I’ve been playing Destiny for 10 years and I can honestly say that I fully believe Destiny has never been more fun to play than it is right now! Just because Bungie laid off a chunk of their workforce doesn’t mean that Destiny itself as a game is “dying”. It truly is unbelievable that the overall mindset of the Destiny community can go from the highest highs only 3 months ago, down to the lowest lows today… just mind blowing to me how hot and cold a lot of people seem to be when talking about the current state of Destiny… the doom and gloomers can say what they want, but I personally find a lot of what they’re saying to be meaningless noise. I am having the time of my life playing Destiny in its current state and I will continue to play it for as long as it’s around :)
I agree. I played d1 and d2 launch and came back at lightfall and the game just consistently gets better. I don't understand the negative sentiment from some. Maybe try playing another game for a while to cleanse the pallet. I find the game to be as bug free as can be expected so I don't know what that comment is in reference to specifically I should add, I don't play pvp but it seems like the comment above me is referring that game mode so YMMV
House of wolves until today. It has been a journey of friendships and achievements. Really appreciate your content and the way you cover 'playing the game'. Had to zone out sections of the community and content years ago and things were simply better for it.
I have played from the start and still play. Destiny has peeks & troughs but overall i feel lucky and thankful the game exists. I also recommend taking breaks especially around Summertime and to focus on the positives ✌️

What a great video. Can't believe I've only just seen it, busy few weeks I guess. We all have our own stories to tell in Destiny, whether its just a few years/months old, or like mine, date back to the very beginning of D1. Congratulations on your 50k, this the first place I go to for builds, tips and gameplay, and I wish you every success in getting to 100k.

I do like your content since subbing a couple years ago. I've bern playing for 10 years with my Grandson Kolton and my 2 sons. During Covid my best buds were 2 immigrants, great guys and we had so much fun! I've hit 70 so backing off a bit. I still think it's perhaps one of the best games I've played. They even got rid of the grinds!
I really connected with your story of being casual in the beginning. I’ve very slowly gotten more hardcore over time (not nearly as much as you) due to irl stuff. It’s wild that I have a wedding invite from someone I originally met in D1 King’s Fall LFG

Good stuff, Tizzle. I genuinely look forward to your videos. I got started with D2 sometime in early 2018. I was looking for a FPS having played 007, Doom, etc. Think I just googled FPS and found Destiny. I can vividly remember playing Red War and Curse of Osiris. In my mind, I can still see the cinematic between Osiris and Sagira when they were moving through time. I would end up leaving Destiny (and gaming in general) until I came back in season 18. I was a complete novice. Didn't understand dungeons, raids, lost sectors, nightfalls, build-crafting, none of it. I've met a few good folks along the way and still log into Destiny a few times per week. I'm still not that good a player however I'm mostly into D2 for the story and lore. I enjoy the game still and will be around as long as Bungie is telling a good story.

Im one of those that found you with your build videos especially during Into The Light and you by far have my favorites that I use, its people like you in the community that keep the game interesting and fresh even when bungie is in a rough. As for my journey I was the opposite where I was a hardcore D1 player mastering everything, where nowadays in D2 im more of a “hardcore” casual and its you and others people videos that guide/help me through rather than doing it like I did back in D1 😅
Would love to see your insight in Elden and cyberpunk with the build crafting those games are so intricate and allow for so much more expression super excited for whatever you end up deciding
My journey kinda starts in year 9 I think (Evolve came out February of 2015, so that’s my best guess but it could have been 2016), at a mall that had an Xbox One set up in their small tech station. One day, that Xbox had Destiny. I picked Warlock, and something clicked on some manner. For my 14th birthday in 2016, I got the Taken King legendary edition, and my very first memory is asking some veteran in the tower how to get the goodies I got from redeeming the code in the game disk. Hope he’s doing well.

Your videos are usually pretty good. I'm pretty analytical so I appreciate all the numbers. That said, I've only recently come across your videos (within 6mo) so I don't have a long history. I don't recall the exact video but probably had something to do with a hunter build or a level clear as those are my usual searches (when pertaining to destiny, obviously there's more to life... lol). Hope you do well.

Reminiscing when I moved from ONT to ALB for work and friends from home convinced me to buy a PS to game online. Played alot of GTA,but discovered D1 and mentioned it. Days off went by so quickly playing and grinding siva strikes and POE. Fast forward to 2024 unfortunately those friends had moved on,I continued my D2 journey to this point. Love hearing these stories in midst of the troubling times Destiny has been going through. Thank you for sharing, enjoy your videos!
I think the best plan of action for doing more variety content would be streaming it and then uploading the full vods to a vods channel, or making a different channel for it if you want them edited and cut down. Since they aren't destiny, they will likely do poorly on this channel and tank it into oblivion, but people have gotten out of the "play one game only" hole before (look at RTGame),
Lost sector guides you say? Guides on the new sectors would be welcome - not sure if its much of a flex but ive solo mastered all lost sectors available but the pale heart sectors seem "different" with only 1 having a strat route (?) - never solo'd (or attempted) anything else, I dont have the patience.

The way your content delves deep into the inner workings of a build and handling solo content, combined with the laid back commentary makes your channel one of the best overall for destiny.
I suck at PVP. my k/d is always between .8 and 1.2, so I never play it. 99% PvE. Almost always solo because people quit the game, and that's fine. It's a 10yo game... life still happens. That said, it's sad to play with someone for a year or 2 and they just stop. Done that a few times now over the years.
I've had all 3 characters since D1, and my first clear of VoG in D1 was with a space wizard. Shocked me too. I'm a hunter 90% of the time, 9% space wizard and 1% titan.
Before this video, I was sure you were one of the best content-creators out there. Not because of D2, but because you bring effort, excellence, and honesty to every single video I've watched of yours, and I've seen almost all of them from the past few months. I'm afraid there's a point where a creator can share too much about themselves though, and that point was breached when you showed a picture of yourself in a Packers jersey. Unsubscribed.

I first started D2 in season 8 and loved it but I always don't have time to grind because of school. I've done every raid and dungeon except SE yet.

Reminiscing when I moved from ONT to ALB for work and friends from home convinced me to buy a PS to game online. Played alot of GTA,but discovered D1 and mentioned it. Days off went by so quickly playing and grinding siva strikes and POE. Fast forward to 2024 unfortunately those friends had moved on,I continued my D2 journey to this point. Love hearing these stories in midst of the troubling times Destiny has been going through. Thank you for sharing, enjoy your videos!

I think the best plan of action for doing more variety content would be streaming it and then uploading the full vods to a vods channel, or making a different channel for it if you want them edited and cut down. Since they aren't destiny, they will likely do poorly on this channel and tank it into oblivion, but people have gotten out of the "play one game only" hole before (look at RTGame),
Lost sector guides you say? Guides on the new sectors would be welcome - not sure if its much of a flex but ive solo mastered all lost sectors available but the pale heart sectors seem "different" with only 1 having a strat route (?) - never solo'd (or attempted) anything else, I dont have the patience.

I suck at PVP. my k/d is always between .8 and 1.2, so I never play it. 99% PvE. Almost always solo because people quit the game, and that's fine. It's a 10yo game... life still happens. That said, it's sad to play with someone for a year or 2 and they just stop. Done that a few times now over the years.

I've had all 3 characters since D1, and my first clear of VoG in D1 was with a space wizard. Shocked me too. I'm a hunter 90% of the time, 9% space wizard and 1% titan.
