Heike Langhans is the new singer but she has been on two albums, Under a Godless Veil and Sovran. Sovran is also an absolutely fantastic album if you wanted to here another gem. But They're older music with like this with Lisa Johansson is amazing as well i love it too very much.
I like that you picked one from Draconian. This is my favourite song from this (their 5th) album. Deadlight is another that's pure awesome. Just as dark a theme as the one here, if not more. I haven't been a fan of growling vocals for very long but I like Anders' growls a lot. Mighty and powerful but at the same time it's still not hard to hear the words. Lots of other Draconian songs recommended in the comments, but I am surprised that nobody has yet to mention my BY FAR favourite Draconian song, which is Dishearten. Heike's voice in the choruses melts me and gives me goosebumps. There are also some short lines where Anders joins her and they sing in unison. Then there's an interesting tempo change near the end.
Hey guys, you should react to some of their classics like; A Scenery of Loss Serenade of Sorrow Death, Come near me She Dies The Gothic Embrace The Morningstar Bloodflower The Apostasy Canticle Heaven Laid in Tears
Been following this band since the first record. Def check out their earlier releases. Similar band from Serbia TALES OF DARK - Sounds Of The Ravage clip, And a bit more gothic Abonos - U krosnjama Abonosa (strange clip hah)
Lisa was with the band for their first 5 albums. She left because she had a baby, on good terms. They changed their tone a bit, to a more gothic atmospheric sound to fit Heike and it works super well. Before, as you hear, it's a more classic doom/death sound. And I prefer Heike slightly. But that's because of the very atmospheric tone she has. If you want another song with her please react to Pale Tortured Blue, it's my favorite song!!
Before anything else, I just want to say I really dig both of your styles. Very metal. \m/ If you want a wider range of female metal vocalists, you gotta check out Battle Beast, Unleash the Archers, Halestorm, Kamelot (specifically "Liar Liar"), and Exit Eden. Not necessarily "metal" (depending on your specific definition), but "Ecstasy" by Kissin' Dynamite has a more interesting female vocal part. I know Nightwish has more of that more typical female vocal style, but I'd love to see your reaction to "Dark Chest of Wonders" (specifically Tarja's version).
Hello from Brasil. This is Lisa, my favorite. Love The Amaranth in her voice and Akherousia (a sad song with folk - th-cam.com/video/HrUqFqiP6tE/w-d-xo.html ) I think you did some research and quoted Liv Kristine. She is the first (always women leave or get fired) singer from Theater Of Tragedy (Norway). One of the pioneering bands of doom / gothic metal in the 90s. They and the band The 3rd and Mortal (Norway) start what became known with vocals beauty and the beast (male and female).
Draconian are superb, but it took me a long time to get into them as Lisa's voice was amazing in a technical sense, but no matter how doom-laden the lyrics were her body language and expressions just screamed "OMG, daddy bought me another pony!".
Hey hope y’all are doing well :3, I’m not a huge metal guy but speedcore edm and like horrorcore edm kinda have a crossover to metal, and I found your Chanel from the Jim jones reaction vid
Brilliant tune 🖤 If you haven't already, check out the band Paradise Lost. I suggest the song "darker thoughts" from their most recent & incredible album "Obsidian" 🤘🤘🤘
death come near me has no music video, but it last 15:22 min so... also, this video i think is good enough ( th-cam.com/video/4ekiQzgvLwg/w-d-xo.html ) ... Another good song is the cry of silence, which is 12:44 minutes long
Ok, so I'm a really big fan of the last 2 Draconian albums with the new singer. I have their older albums with the last singer, but man I just can't get into it as much. The last 2 albums (Sovran and Under a Godless Veil) are perfect from start to finish, in my opinion. I have too many favorite songs from those albums, so I'll just recommend one that I currently have on repeat...the song is "Claw marks on the Throne". Another one with a great video is called "Stellar Tombs". You'll be singing it for days.
I've said this before. Draconian is my favorite band. Nothing they have released is bad. But Death Come Near Me is probably the staple Draconian song. The actual song is 15 mins. Just look up Death Come Near Me lyrics and watch that and react to it for me... I mean us! :)
Hell yeah! Unfortunately we know this song very well! Its actually one of our sons favorite songs too. Havent heard much else by them though. Anything else up at that caliber?
All the uploads of Death, Come Near Me are fan-made; the 9-minute one is just a shortened version of the song, idk why the uploader shortened it. React to this one because it also has the lyrics, I think it's the best of the uploads: th-cam.com/video/YO6drSeWSb4/w-d-xo.html Anyways, short distraction, continuing watching your reaction (and damn, this was uploaded exactly on my birthday, now I'm kinda sad I didn't know your channel earlier)
Thanks guys =)

Another great song by Draconian is It grieves my heart. Also, i love Swallow the Sun! Another amazing doom metal band! 🤘🤘🤘
Thank you for doing more Draconian, I love them so much!

Wow, a 3rd and Mortal reference. A really great album

So glad we arent alone in thinking their new vocalist is 🔥🔥🔥
Yes I agree with both of you.
Heike is a fallen goddess like Sophia and a beautiful spirit and person.
This is my all time go to toke n chill song. She sounds like Nightwish lead singer.
Hah. Which one?
You should hear them live. He sounds basically like the same.
I really want you to hear Death Come Near Me. Pleeeease
I had never heard of them, I like it. It reminds me a lot of "Paradise Lost". If you like this, you'll love them

Try Apocolyptic Orchestra’s song Garden of Earthly Delights. It’s friggin awesome.
Hell yeah! Unfortunately we know this song very well! Its actually one of our sons favorite songs too. Havent heard much else by them though. Anything else up at that caliber?
I can name a few, Tyr, Eluveitie, Finteforst, Manegarm, Grimner, Korpiklaani, Heidevolk, just ta name a few Bands I feel are of their level.
@@WolfgangHood8404FMF Ensiferum, Turisas, Finntroll, Arkona
You gotta do Seasons apart.
Personally I prefer the earlier albums and I hope you WILL listen to Death Come Near Me.
Chelsea wolfe and Emma Ruth Adehonia
Emma Ruth and Thou collaboration project.
I love Norse Metal.
Humanitys last breath - Earthless. Video is graphic so be warned.

I've been listening to Draconian for over 17 years, now I'm 30. Also I was a fan before it became fashionable :p
