I have actually never in my life been able to keep any plant alive, not even pothos. I even kill succulents. But Orchids are the easiest to take care of! All of mine are growing new leaves. All they need is to keep them in bright indirect light. And soak in water once you notice the roots getting dry. That’s literally it! They’re so resilient because even if you forget to water, they don’t easily die (as long as it’s not completely dead) they keep coming back.

Had a friend at work that had two identical bushes (shrubs). One was dying and the other healthy. Both received identical treatment. After putting used coffee grounds on the soil of the dying bush, it became healthy again.

Might I suggest that you use CalMag as per the instructions along with a 1/4 to 1/2 dose of Better Grow Orchid Fertilizers when watering or a fertilizer based on MSU (Michigan University) which is a complete fertilizer, or something easier which is K-Lite from First Rays which is a 13-1-1 NPK with secondary elements 10% calcium, 3% Magnesium, and all the necessary micronutrients.
