Here's a tip tho. Sunflower spam is good in earlier levels but it will not work later on.

@@firytwig altho if they do buy *spoilers* double sunflower, they can get twice as much sun as possible, and 3 or 4 of them is already good.
So spamming instas and stalling for sun is the way to go I guess
@@lennypede5654 I think it does work pretty early, like using sunflowers and using potato mines on ez zombies. Then planting some mid plants after.

I for one, yearns for organisations. It doesn't matter I win or loose, all of the same plants must be on the same row. Looking at this hurts me but the nostalgia numbed the pain so it is still great to watch you play it

I legit thought I was the only one who made mine symmetrical. It goes from Sunflower to Pea Shooter then honestly whatever but it was always symmetrical!
I've played this game ever since I was really little. I'm so glad you guys can experience it. Fun Fact the xbox360 version had local co-op and local versus. One of my favorite sibling rivalries!

i remember back in elementary me my friends would learn how to use the computer for the first time and one of our classmates found out that there’s a folder full of games in every computer and that’s how i found pvz
every time i finish our work i would rush to the games folder to play pvz for only 5 - 10 min
watching this gives me back a lot of memories

Good strat: put suns in 2nd closest lane to house, then fill in as much space as you need with shooters. Then a close range plant behind a wall and then something like a spikeweed
Watching this reminded me of the time when my mom played this game on my pc when i was a kid. I was chill when she was playing it, but then, I was shocked that she was at the final boss in only few days. My thoughts back then were like, "How did she manage to do that...?" And a few years later, specifically right now, I thought, "This game is all about strategy as if playing a game of chess.. Either my mom knows the strats when it comes to this game, or she's just a genius when it comes to this game..?"
Anyways, i enjoyed watching this so much.

The only reason why zombies walk only on grass is because they are that devious. They will trample your lawn so you won't be able to plant any of your defenders

I've been played this game for about few years ago, and here's a plant combo, repeater and torchwood is the best combo against zombies, there a few mini games that sometimes is hard, but it can be easy (i think), what a nostalgia pvz game

Pro Tip : Always plant at least 2 rows of sunflowers in the leftmost side of your lawn. This will give you the sun needed to decimate basically any threat once it's really set up. Also, extra pro tip, try to savor the first zombie to enter a lane. Until that one zombie dies, they're not going to send anymore through. So what I always do is plant a potato mine in the leftmost side of where that zombie is heading and just focus on planting my double row sunflower setup before he trips the mine.
I usually put peashooter at the leftmost side and then sunflower in the 2nd row just in case a zombie break through, because then I will have a last line of defense
and also use potato mines

This game is just so exemplary for all the strategies of this genre, I spent many hours in it (since 2011 I played and didn’t play for a while). Thank you for playing it!
26:55 The composer of this game (Laura Shigihara) also made her own game - Rakuen (on RPG Maker). I guess it has one of the best stories and music I’ve ever knew (but, in fact, I don't know much about this world at all…). It would be so cool if you could complete games like this one, “OneShot”, “To the Moon”, “Omori”, etc. too. And not necessarily on camera, but for yourself.

Love seeing people play this absolute gem of a game. I do want to offer some gameplay tips so you two can be the best gardeners you can be.
Tip 1, put your heavy attackers in the back behind your sunflowers. This may seem wrong, but the attackers are the only things keeping you alive and sun producers like sunflower are fast recharging, cheap, and don’t need much to get value.
Tip 2, wait to plant attackers for a bit. For the early parts of waves they only send one zombie at a time and so if you plant a Potato mine, which can insta kill any zombie besides some specials like Gargantuars, in column 3 of whatever row the zombie is in the moment you spot it on the right, the mine will be ready to detonate when the zombie reaches it. Just do that for the first few zombies while planting your sunflowers to build up sun. This allows you to cheaply handle early zombies and use only high-cost strong attackers like Repeater better without bringing relatively meh plants like Peashooter.
These two tips should help you guys out a lot in the early game, with other tips not being that relevant until later in the game.

This was a great video! love the nostalgia, but the lack of symettry is absolutly KILLING me i understand in the levels where the game gives you random seeds having no symmetry but the normal levels just look wrong without it i dont know if it just looks more organized but i feel like the game is much easier with a symmetric plant layout example: row 1: sunflowers, row 2: peashooters, row 3:chompers, row 4: wallnuts, etc.
I'm so glad they played this on the channel, big fan of the game so I was excited to see them play the fnf mod, them playing the actual game caught me off guard though! The commentary was hilarious too!
I usually only reserve the first two columns for sunflowers and let the rest be for defence

Since the zombies decide to not walk on dirt, if you just cut out all the grass nearby and everyone does it the zombies are stuck
