- Thanks for @kx7670 for information that "Tempest Cleric maximizing all the damage from a Thunderous Smite". Its certainly a bug. It souldnt max dmg for weapon attack and Divine Smite, it should only max dmg on Thunderous Smite which is only 24 dmg, becouse you cant upcast that spell. Nevertheless its extremly fun, try it before they patch it :)

This legit has me wondering if I'm doing my paladin COMPLETELY WRONG! How the heck..i dont know what to believe anymore lol. Hadnt even considered putting cleric in for smite. How does it stack up to a 7pal/5lock or pure pal without the max dmg tempest buff?
I think if you wanna go Palalock, it's better to stick to Lock 3 for the pact of the blade, you get no meaningful buffs at lvl 5, but as an Oath of Vengeance, you get a feat at lvl 8, and Haste as a channel oath on lvl 9, and third lvl spell slots.

Pala Wl is prob the strongest single target build in the game from lvl 10
3 attacks per action and a 4th from great weapon mastery
I deal 150 dmg avg without smites

@@healmyvision5941 Yeah, just, no. The strongest single target AND multi target build is Sorcerer/Warlock, Haste and Quickened spell lets you cast 9 beams of Eldritch Blasts per turn. If you equip the Spellsparkler (that you can get very early on) the single point of damage from the Lightning Charges count as Cantrip Damage, which makes your Charisma modifier add again in the damage, pair that with Hex (If you have another spellcaster do the Hasting), and EACH BEAM Hits for 1d10 Force + 5 Force (CHA mod)+ 1d6 Necro + 1 Lightning + 5 Force (CHA mod) + 1d6 Necro. Which means at MINIMUM, you deal 14 DMG per beam, times 9 is 126 DMG. Pretty early in Act 2, you can get the potent robes also, which applies your CHA mod to your cantrips AGAIN, so, 10 more dmg minimum. which brings your total minimum DMG to 24, times 9 is 216 DMG MIN. While still having the option to push your target back in each of the beams.

Im pretty sure its a bug and it sould be only max for thunder dmg, but its ALL max dmg including divine smite :)
@@thorusin I think lightning charges have the same bug, in the Eldritch Machinegun build, they count as cantrip damage, so they apply your charisma modifier, hex, and any other buffs to total damage that your eldritch blast would apply, even the extra CHA mod from the potent robes.
@@matheusbravo3758 Those don't seem to be a bug. Lightning charges add damage to your attacks so it's damage dealt with your cantrip as required.
@@guycxz Yeah, but it's a bit Iffy, i mean, if that was true, then Hex would work the same way, and it doesn't. It adds 1d6 damage on your hit and that's it, Lightning Charges however reapply every single extra bonus, be it Radiant from the gloves that do 2 radiant damage when the target is in light, applying the hex damage again, and both the Cha modifiers if you have Agonizing Blast and Potent Robes. I firmly believe it's a bug

Not really? +4 and advantage on constitution saving throw (dc is 10), it would be unlucky af to somehow lose it
@@luxadia7310 At advantage with a +4, there is a 49.46% chance to beat a DC10 eleven times in a row. So neither outcomes would have been particularly surprising. If anyone's curious about the maths, rolling 6 or above with advantage is a probability of 0.938, carry that to the power of 11 (number of checks happening in the video) to calculate the probability of such event happening 11 times in a row.

I gave gale 1 lvl in cleric so both had create water and i gave shart 4 lvl in wizard so that she could learn a couple end game ice and lightning spells from scrolls (and misty steps she needs it lol)
They clear entire rooms in 1 turn
@@Valdemar135 No it does not. Tempest Cleric is supposed to maximize your thunder and lightning damage, but it actually maximizes all of your damage rolls.

If you explore and do the quests, you can hit lvl 10 in the very beggining of act 3 dude, you are missing out on a looooooot of stuff.
