Apart from heel raises, is there anything else you would do to manage Achilles tendinopathy? Would you do stretches, or any other strengthening?

Hi! Stretches is not necessarily a suitable option for tendinopathy. Load management and strengthening are the key principles. You can do isometrics, you can do Plantarflexion with a theraband, you can do heel raises… and other general lower limb strengthening for Gluts and Quads too for general conditioning

If a 14 year old patient complains of heel pain and pain on the tendon itself, does it mean they have severes disease, would adding a heel wedge help. Even though, if they presented with tightness at the TA tendon.

Hi! Good question! Ultimately if a younger individual presented with these symptoms it COULD be sever’s disease and therefore as you said it’s important to have this investigated and assessed for each individual
