  • When someone brings a piglet home that is terrified, it is very stressful for everyone involved. In this video, I share why this happens and how you can build trust and a bond with your new piglet.

Oh my God I needed this so bad today! 😢 I feel defeated but I KNOW everything is new but he wanted out of his crate so I took him to the tub and he pottied and😢 now I can't get him out of the tub😢 I have so much to learn. He's neutered already and 2.5 months old and basically only the girls were handled. 😢 he's very skittish I know it'll take time but I feel so defeated. A mom and her 2 young teen sons were the only ones in the family to handle them and considering school plus she's a teacher, with 18 pot bellied pigs they apparently couldn't keep all of them handled. Thank you for your video, going to hyper fixate/ focus on researching now. ❤❤

A new piglet can be very overwhelming. I’m sorry that you’re breeder didn’t do her job and socialize the piglet fully. But you can do this! Take advantage of my resources: TH-cam channel, podcast (The Pet Pig Podcast), community on Mighty Networks and courses and groups!! You will be knowledgeable in no time!

    Hello!
I have two piglets. They nudge me like crazy as if they are rooting up soil, they do it to my ankles and if they are sitting on my lap they do it to my legs constantly.
Initially I thought it was just because they’re piglets and looking for a teat but they’re getting bigger now and are so strong. Should I be trying to stop this behaviour? If so, how?
They have access to outside so they do get a couple of hours a day where they get to root in the real soil.
    Thank you!❤

Hi. Yes, you need to stop this now before they get bigger. Push them away from you when they do it - over and over. Be consistent. Also, redirect them to things they can root on.

I just got a 6 week old piggy. She's afraid of us so it's hard to potty train her. She won't use the litter box but I can't do anything to help her because she's still afraid of us. Any tips?

Yes, make her space really small so she only has one option of where to go potty. Slowly open it up as long as she stays consistent.
