How To Make a Pokémon Trainer Battle Diorama [Charizard vs. Umbreon]

  • I decided to make a gift for some of my friends by turning them into Pokemon trainers, battling it out with and around some of their favorite Pokemon in the form of a diorama. I had a lot of fun recreating the feel of a route from one of the classic Pokemon games and adding in some fun little details.
This is also my first video featuring a voiceover in which I explain how I went about creating this piece. It was a bit nerve-wracking for me, as I am not a huge fan of my own voice (who is?). Let me know what you think!

Lovely tutorial! I hope you do continue doing voiceovers, it makes the process easier to follow and gives me the illusion of maybe being able to recreate it someday haha :)

You should take a picture or make short video and post it on reddit dioramas. You can promote your channel there just make sure you follow their rule.

Hello there - I also made my way to you from Boylie. (The two videos I've seen of yours have been great so keep up the good work)
Just an idea and feel free to tell me I'm wrong - when cutting your foam would if be easier to see if you flip it over and have the base upwards and the foam on the wire cutter bed??
    Keep up the good work

      Hi! Thanks for coming!
Having the foam on the bottom would be easier to see but the mdf would push against the wire higher up causing it to bend more than right at the bottom where it's tighter. This results in a cut that isn't perfectly flush and instead would be wavy or not straight.

Great video, great result! Also, nice to see someone talented at something artistic be transparent about their struggles, it makes your result feel more attainable for beginners. Keep it up!

@@horizonsforge It’s fun, because I am really considering quitting doing voice over in mine. English not being my first language, it’s the hardest part of the production for me.

You can and you should! Don't let a 'missing' tool hold you back! Hero Forge allows you to create a custom character and they print it for you, and there's tons of other 3d printing services across the globe. Check your local library as they often have 3d printing centers!

To be honest I only watch videos with voice over, so this is perfect for me. Please do more videos with narration cause I absolutely love your work. Your attention to detail is impressive and I could listen to you talk about static grass for hours.
