I just beat this boss. He's probably the hardest souls boss beside Orphan of Kos and Ishin. I had Dian's armor with defenses for every element + deflect damage amplification. Took all of my heals plus 7 dragon essence
Congrats on beating him! I had to round 2 the guy just to feel more satisfied about the whole fight and performed better on the 2nd win. But good stuff on the win!
Yeah i gave up on this one fully after the 40th attempt. Until this is nerfed I'm not fuckong doing this one. I beat Lu Bu first try no problem, this is just ridiculous honestly
GG. This is one real tough boss. Just came by to see if there are other strategies for the 2nd phase. Seems that most uploaders are overgeared and overleveled. Appreciate that you did the boss fight fair and square! You have a new subscriber :)
Gonna re-record another time and try again. Want to do better on that second phase as I was too hesitant to do a lot of things. Hoping to do better, but I've barely touched NG+, so doubt I'm gonna get all that much further in terms on being OP or anything.
@MazManZero Finally! I also did it. Not as graceful as you, but thats the issue with first kills and many attempts and lack of concentration :) I got inpatient with phase one - sometimes fast and quick sometimes stupid rng and inconsistent timing. This DLC made me think I was gonna get another Dragon-type Divine Beast from the DLC title to the layout of the final DLC main mission level and the dragon that appears during the second phase of the final boss but the fox works I guess🤷♂️
@@MazManZeroWhile not the Divine Beast I was expecting its still pretty useful and being the only Divine Beast you can interact with(riding) so that’s cool👍
Took a few tries, but timing is weird on it. Get use to it some more and you'll eventually (and effortlessly) pull them off. There isn't too much else I can say other than that, but once you get the timing down, you're sorted.
There are actually some openings where you can strike him from behind for a time while he's in the middle of the longer elemental skills in phase 2, such as the circling lightning blades where he faces only in one direction.
Yeah, I found that out and have a 2nd video on the channel doing a much better job on the fight. Went from like 12 minutes to like 5? Found a lot more openings and advantages. Just this was my first win and went "it'll do" 😂
@@MazManZero I attack,I deflect his critical attacks,and when he’s stagger and and getting back up I attack then Imposing Slab rinse and repeat I would also have Yinglong just in case.
@@UltimateRex95 Interesting. I'll have to mess around see what I can do. I want to do better than this attempt as I was too hesitant to deal with too many moves. Made the 2nd phase harder for no reason cause of it.
Best not to overwork yourself and give yourself more time. I tend to do better after taking the rest of the day off and trying the next day. Ya got this though.
Not looking forward to this fight. I already damn near had a meltdown fighting Gna in GOW Ragnarok on give me god of war and trying to clear floor 28 of the Depths in Nioh 2. Hopefully I luck out.
You should be able to manage it. It's one of these "Too many moves to learn but manageable once you can remember them all" kind of fights. Once you get an idea on how the mechanics work, you got it.
@@MazManZero Was able to beat it pre patch on NG. By far one of the most miserable experiences I've had with this game. Beat him on NG+++ post patch as well. Fuxi really comes in handy.
Have you been close to beating him in any way? I would encourage to keep trying. It takes a fair bit to get use to the insane amount of moves that he has, but I would say keep going if you can!
Took me..... 4 hrs maybe? It was rough for sure as it was enough to try and learn the first phase, but this second as you saw I was completely struggling to get a stagger in. Have a new video which I manages in 5 mins and was able to figure out the mechanics of that second phase but I completely get ya on how much of a struggle it was.
Sorry but they straight up need to nerf this boss-and that’s coming from someone who has never given up on a boss-that second phase just feels completely unfair, there’s so much going on screen you can never parry everything-he has two moves going on simultaneously
I said the same at first until I got used to it. It's just more overwhelming on what you gotta do. You saw how much I struggled on the 2nd phase there (though I was more inexperienced on what was the best approach to dealing with the moves). Uploaded another video where I halved the time and did kinda decently on the 2nd phase. It's not impossible, but it's definitely overwhelming at first. I will say keep going if you've yet to beat him. You'll eventually get it. Give yourself more time on noticing where you're going wrong and you'll get the grand opportunity on destroying him.

Dragon would have been nice honestly. Didn't think much about the fox myself; but eh, it is what it is. 😅

This inspired me not to give up. But how do you block the elemental stomps so good. I take about 30% damage 3/4 times

Don't give up. You got this. It's a tricky fight with a ton to learn but it's definitely doable.
Oh damn; that second half looked rough. Hopefully if you do manage to redo the fight; you can do it at a better time.

This boss made me delete the game. By far harder than any other boss I fought in the game.

For me it was 1-2h. Its basically the only fight in the game that you have to learn. I steamrolled every other boss. Even Lu Bu was done in 3 tries.
