God, The Button is both a guilty pleasure of mine and proof that evil exists in the world. It is an evil device that I'm sure was made by the romance equivalent of Jigsaw, but its also the funniest damn dating show for how insane it is. As a man, my first response to being asked if I'm ok is, "yeah". Unless the person asking actually cares. Even then, I still just say yes half the time.

TRUE "hear me out"s are liking conventionally unattractive people or things, like slimes (not slime girls), things that are basically just animals (four legged pokemon like eevee, or dragons, or squids/octopus), or ugly humans (old wrinkly people, fat people, stinky people, people with disgusting pus oozing acne/bad skin, snaggle toothed people), or actually irredeemable humans (saying some warcriminal is hot/serial killer like dahmer or the columbine shooters). if your "hear me out" doesn't immediately gross/weird out the average person around you, it's not a "hear me out". imagine having to justify wanting to do a pokemon that looks literally like a cat or dog to your parents.
i just needed to call out all the women that think they're unique in their tastes. it even said in the study shoe cited, women mostly liked thin, muscular men i.e. conventionally attractive men. if you agree that men and women are equally shallow, then you MUST agree that men and women are both equally attracted to conventionally attractive people, logically. if you think women like "wilder" unconventional things, that is also simultaneously saying that men, 50% of the human population, are more shallow relatively, putting down all men. you can't have it both ways.

I’m in the same boat as the history wwii gun guy, just add working on cars and trucks and that’s pretty much me. I’m a very boring person to most people I guess, at least I know how not to break the ice.
Lastly some additional things I wanted to point out, but this is quite a text wall (i would add my other comments to this, but lots of comments is good for the youtube algorithm anyway):
-It's not just cosmo... lots of websites have really wild ads like that
-Gotta agree that you don't break out the "unusual" fetishes/interests until AFTER the first date (3rd date or more is usually safe). But yes, she was shallow on the other 3 things... in fact, most women would LOVE a guy that's been in the military (it is a common thing I heard)...
-Astrology is fun, but the ones that get religious about it should be avoided. Why cut off over half the people you meet despite not knowing a thing about them anyway? The cut off is due to how signs "supposedly match" but since it's earth and water pairings, fire and wind pairings, or same element pairings (not always same sign though).... that does effectively cut off 6 or 7 of the 12 zodiacs... meaning you lose half or more potential candidates if you follow that mess to the letter.
-The heelys guy might have just been ultra shy and gave up.... idk... personally, I own an E-Scooter and it's VERY fun.
-I honestly don't mind older or younger women (in my 30s), it's more about who you connect with. But NEVER say a woman looks older than her age (assuming you even get to know her age cause you shouldn't ask for it tbh)
-Some say that the "talks too much" guy should have switched to her or not "trauma dumped" so early (see other reactions for that), but the thing is that he honestly was put in that situation. It would have looked wrong on his part if he didn't answer the questions. That was entirely on her. He really was asked a question (that basically makes you trauma dump), and she followed up on the subject further. really self-centered on her part thinking he's supposed to drop everything on those questions and start talking about her.
-ugh.... agree fully with shoe on the joke thing. there's a lot of jokes out there, both good and bad.... but that doesn't make you funny. in fact, you have to cater your jokes to the individual/group for best results. cause obviously, a joke about say... religion, might not be enjoyed by that religion.
-"conversation wasn't flowing" cause she lost interest or something after less than 5 seconds....
-hug guy is based, but still mean (other words I'd want to use, but youtube gets weird sometimes). admittedly, the girl that asked if he was tall didn't look that tall herself so she kinda had that coming.
-the kiss guy is ironically what happens when a lot of women set high standards and go after guys like that. "high tier" people tend to go for "equally high tier" and no offense, but my honest opinion is that she was not in his league.
-also, poor pine on the weight thing.... just her voice and the fact that she's into games and anime would be enough for so much of us. that guy took a major L imo.
-we don't talk about the button break. that was just bad on both sides (but the guy was worse about it)
-the latina guy (and possibly the mitsuri cosplayer as well) was too focused on the race rather than the individual. never do that.
-people REALLY shouldn't give up on people so fast.... the fact that the button isn't instantly on is actually a good thing. and the excuses from the ones hitting the button too fast were so flimsy
-the "racist hater" sounds super "woke".... never a good thing. They're the ones that took a good cause and ruined it imo.
-the teacher that rejected that one guy.... yeah that's the kind of people that really think they always have options or a shot at someone. life doesn't work that way. BASED rejection from the guy she wanted back.
-the "3 complements" woman really did show why she's single. there's no feasible way the guy could have given legit complements outside of looks. that's either thinking he's a mind reader, or expecting too much from someone that didn't even know her. maybe both.
-"vampire girlfriend" is a MASSIVE PASS for me. I HAVE dated someone like that before... and they ended up being my WORST ex-girlfriend.... do not ever think you can fix someone, and if you know there's red flags.... please listen to them.
-personally, plastic surgery is never appealing to me. I don't want someone with "fake parts". in fact, I actually prefer women with the smaller size "up there", but still willing to take anyone who's genuine. and besides, that stuff is expensive and needs to be maintained so.... definitely high maintenance and then some...
-politics is never a good topic for anything social/relationship based... that's just a landmine waiting to happen.
-miss "too hot for Seattle" is way too full of herself regardless of how she looks. I wouldn't care if she was the most attractive looking woman in history, no one has any right to think or act like that. but admittedly the "fruit snack" guy really shouldn't have offered a snack barehanded. that's the one thing that wasn't against that woman.
-the "girls do everything better" guy is just insufferable for ANYONE. hate to say it, but people like that deserve to be alone. it's not cool at all.
