Replacing 2 stage clutch on Massey Ferguson

- After the clutch stopped working this winter I needed to split the tractor and find out what's wrong and fix it.

I’ve been binge watching your channel, I love these type of videos! Just for future reference you can drive a 2x4 wedge between the front pivot axis and chassis on each side to keep it from tilting on you as you showed in the video.

I have the same model but with no cab. Hot to replace my clutch also.
I like the idea of the casters to separate the front easily by yourself.

It worked great with wheels, just remember to lock the front axel from pendle, I forgot that.

This was the second time, I had the whole engine apart a few years earlier
Love the C hut shop seems they have realy good lighting and love the hight we have 2 big ones with canvas tops man I wish dad bought the end wall
It's a great garage for it's price was really cheap. Only thing i would do different, is I would put some wind resistance material in between the plates and structure. I'm having the issue that snow gets in between the plates when it's a storm outside.
Put a pto shaft onto the pto at back, engage pto lever and then one extra person turn the pto shaft by hand slowly
with manifold nuts try attacking one flat of the nut with an sharp air chisel. It spreads the nut slightly and prevents the risk of breaking the stud or tearing the male thread.
I was lucky with the impact gun and a little WD40 it came loose. But I think I have an air chisel so could try that next time I get a stuck nut.

When removing a pressure plate unscrew the bolts a little at a time otherwise you will have a sudden release of tension and you risk serious damage. You were lucky in only breaking a bolt.
Yes I figured out when it popped that I probably should have done that :)
@@MiniMachines1 , before unbolting the clutch you are meant to screw in 3 x 6 mm bolts to the three holes in the cover, they keep the clutch compressed and you can unbolt it easily, just need to remember to remove them when you put the clutch back.
How many mm is the clearance of the adjusting screws?
How many mm on the clutch finger bolts ?
No Loctite on the bolts when reinstalling?
Now you need to do the engine
I rebuild the engine a few years before, was a fun project
