I played AW Tamer for a season and thought I learned her pretty well. 30 seconds into your video I realized I know nothing about tamer lol I'm impressed
It is crazy just how much extra movement and positioning you can squeeze out of her going from just good standard play to full tilt cancel abuse lol - they also added a lot of new movement options like new tree climb sending us a mile forward and cloud stomping somersault, plus skyreach doesn't get falling animation anymore so we can play a true airborne bomber style haha
@@stardawggunrocks5152 Any chance you could make a video about the various types of cancels you use to do all that amazing movement ? I just realized you have a pvp movement video so I'm gonna watch that. You definitely earned a new sub ! Do you have anything you'd add to that other video ?
@@mikebytheway Thanks man! Definitely appreciate it - the PvP guide video does cover everything I use for movement at least, but the few "Soaring Arts" jump tricks from this montage are covered mechanically in the soaring arts guide which is a separate video from a few months back
Lights kinda OP sometimes ngl - thanks! Definitely enjoying capped wars a lot rn, filled up some elixir orders (finally) too so hopefully can push dmg a but more off that and run soaring wings for more jump
It's definitely mouse movement, my guess is that it was all the way at the edge because I actually looked for it in the clip to do a slow move replay but couldn't find it and gave up lol
did a guide on it here, basically with some jump height you can use double jump off the top of your skyreach sideflip: th-cam.com/video/XMD5PRAH9y4/w-d-xo.html
not many just the 2x bmc ascensions, and the lightstone set "Take Off!" which gives +50, could have a lil bit more on top of this if I was also running an elixir rotation instead of draught or sacrificed my drip for the splat fisher's costume since it has extra jump height over regular costume lol
@@stardawggunrocks5152 I appreciate it! this is how i imagined tamer to be when awk first came out. I already had take off set. Just wasn't getting enough air time.
@@stardawggunrocks5152 The movement speed on the take off set is op imo. It gives you that extra bit of speed we need for warriors and musas. Especially with absorb buff stacked.
@@kimaniowens3312 it's definitely a nice bonus and also makes running khalk's for the 5% pretty good in capped wars - agree that it gives our movements a bit more zip and that really is nice, especially when you aren't losing stats in uncapped content it seems like the best option to me
definitely enjoying core moonlight a LOT for that reason, trying to just leave grabs out of it and get more familiar with openings by playing other classes and studying guides etc - seems to me having that instant dash stiff gets really strong and it's quick enough that I think it's hard to punish the unprotected first hard CC afterwards, and that slightly offset dash hitting them behind their frontal is absolutely life without parole illegal haha xD
hey mate, you do alot of good guides for arts and pvp already, can you make a good one for pve awake tamer too? im so in need for one. i would hire you as personal trainer but im a poor tamu :o
that would be a super big honor if someone wanted me to coach them BUT in PvE specifically I'm a total spaz :( I'd recommend checking out @Chaytona - I linked to some of his videos in the description of my PvP guide video for awakening and he has said he might do a guide if/when he can. In the #awak-chat channel of the Tamer discord, Chaytona posted a DPS breakdown of the different useful PvE skills and a lot of us will talk about PvE and answer PvE questions there. One thing I can offer up for endgame awake PvE is that it's all about finding a way to keep your -20 magic DP debuff from garuda, your -15 or -20dp skill addon debuff, and your -10dp debuff from Flow: Intimidation or LBD Echo Tiger on 10 mobs then hit those 10 mobs at all times. This is hard because our skills have very different AoE shapes and sizes to the hitbox including the debuff skills (Garuda, Soaring Strike for T3 debuffs, Flow: Intim, LBDE Tiger, Flash Pole Thrust, Jolt Stab). Our highest DPS vs. AoE skills are Dark Gaoler, Soaring Strike, Moonlight Strike, and Legendary Beast Dance: Echo but the DPS spikes from these skills are minor and they drop off if you don't keep the skill rotation going smoothly which requires constant attention to your cooldowns and when and where the next "replacement" mobs are coming. That's the basic summary, but you'll see from Awake Tamer PvE videos listed in my PvP guide that ppl approach it very differently even at the same spot - that's because a lot of the skills have similar DPS and it's more about finding the ways to efficiently rotate for back attacks and pull mobs together for our small AoEs to offset our rather poor DPS in PvE. Succession does a lot better with a lot less effort, and there are multiple classes that have long lingering skills that do massive PvE damage in a massive AoE that is better than what we can do with perfect pulling/mob grouping, perfect skill selection, perfect animation cancels and perfect pack to pack movement. We just aren't the best, so a lot of us think of it like a challenge and have fun with it that way, then grind in succ or some tagged class if we want to actually make some money. I have spent more time in BA working on my PvE skill rotation than I've actually spent grinding with it, and I still can't do better than 16.5k at Hexe lol... use Awake Tamer in PvE for the fun of it not the efficiency is all I can advise.
@@stardawggunrocks5152I completely 1001% agree to this. Awaken Tamer imo isn't the best when it comes to PvE. I never did believe she was the best but some people use to say Awaken and Succ had the same PvE damage but I always knew Succession was still better in PvE because literally most of her SA skills are huge AoEs, her none SA skills are mid ranged burst skills, and her FGs such as Dark Gaoler and Surging Tide and have a nice Mid range FG distance and Dark Gaoler also flows into a lot of Succession skills better as well making SA skills finish off in a FG if you're not in need of an . I've tried Awakening Tamer I don't know how many times now... too much to count, and I've even mained Awakening Tamer a long time ago before I quit Awakening Tamer because her DPS felt too low and small for too much effort back before the reworks about 2 years and some months ago. I quit Tamer as a whole when I was told that Tamer was a bad class and had low damage outputs and required a lot of effort for the same amount of damage as other classes. And after rework, I finally tried Tamer again and she felt so smooth now, I started off on her Awakening of course, it still felt the same to me, just there was a new Elemental Comboing system which was fun at first but then saw how her damage, effort, and AoEs were still super average and/or low in PvE. So I finally gave Succession a try(Back then I didn't really like Succession classes, Tamer was legit my 1st Succ class in this game) and I LOVED it. She had so much SA skills, she could kill monsters from a distance and aggro monsters in a 360° radius, her grab flowed perfectly(Something they winded up finally fixing this year because the grab was HORRIBLE on Awakening imo), and I loved that I did massive damage by just using Roaring or Fearful Trembling alone! Don't get me wrong though, I'm a PvPer also but I just couldn't get into Awakening Tamer with how much effort I have to put into Awakening Tamer for the same results as her counter part or other classes. I also love that Awakening Tamer has a staff which I would absolutely prefer over a short sword. I even sometimes switch to Awakening just to AFK with my little staff. lol And I love Awakenings Mobility and more s to work with. And the ability to turn Moonlight into a PvP Stiffing skill and also Cloud Ride from high areas or to parkour buildings or etc. to reach camping unaware players. But God please PA buff Awakening Tamer's AoEs, her damage imo can be a bit buffed too to match some other classes damage but her AoEs and range are probably the shortest and smallest in game next to Shai who even have larger AoEs at times!
