Yessss J.N. Adams!!! This is about an hour drive from me. My grandpa actually stayed in here for a brief period of time when he was young. I've explored here a few times. It just has a really sad feel to it.
Beautiful architectural building. They just don’t make them like they used to. Be careful out there. Maybe take a buddy next time. Winter time is a good time to explore. Thank you for the video.
I love your videos! I love the commentary, your knowledge of the location, the photos of its former life. You really do make us feel like we're a part of it. I'm old, fat & unhealthy, so I live vicariously through you! LOL
We view many people showing abandoned place but our top two are broken window therapy and you sir. We love how you inform us on the history ! great job. ..... fantastic
The dome! How gorgeous!! And you’re right about the light fixtures. We had those when I was in grade school. They were great. Not like the awful fluorescent lights. What a cool explore. In the basement, the apparatus that had the foot pedal was a bedpan washer. Stainless steel bedpans were the standard and needed to be sanitized. So flush and wash.
In *Laurelton Pennsylvania,* which is in *Western Pennsylvania,* I visited an asylum that's been abandoned sometime in the 90s called *Laurelton State village for feeble-minded women of childbearing age.* This place was run by all the people that were there, they literally grew their own food, there is a hospital there and a school there for the kids, cottages for them to live in, an auditorium. Behind the hospital, I believe when you look at an aerial view picture you can see that the trees grew in wrong and they are growing out to the side because that is where they used to bury everybody after they passed away. When you're on the ground you can see the lumps where the bodies are and then the trees trying to grow around it.
And I forgot to add that it was a very cool place to explore. It seems like these asylums that have been opened forever close in the 90s, every one of them seems like they closed in the 90s, which is my era.
Im curious also to where this place is! Looks colder than the midwest where I live .. Cheers having my my 4th beer 🍺 getting tired up turning my heat up and down lol Thank you much for your time and having the motivation of exploring & sharing of strange abandoned building’s
They should have kept the building in better condition, as it could have been made into a nursing home, or low income housing. The area has beautiful scenery as well. Have a great day ❤️🙂⚘️.
wowwww this was a great place to explore i think i remember seeing this on the proper peoples video was amazing at that time would be coool for a spoooky movie awesome video rick
This is made to last thru Generations.:)Just think this was planned in the 1800s to build in 1900s.I love old buildings with History the walls did talk and yes lives were lived easy and hard no wonder why there was deaths. Thanks Rick this is amazing to see inside . I love Tunnels back into the late 1600s to beyond.
This was A Hospital initially constructed beginning in 1910 for TB Treatment for these in the area of Buffalo ,NY . It was opened in September 1912 and served the area for almost 50 years until 1960. It was then refurbished and became a Hospital for the Mentally Disabled in 1961 till it closed its doors permanently in 1995 . Once a series of connecting buildings the hospital was a beautiful place both inside and outside . It has been abandoned now for nearly 30 years and has been allowed to fall into a serious state of decay due to a combination of Neglect,Disinterest ,Local Vandalism and the natural elements . The buildings should be leveled due to safety and environmental concerns due to the fragile state of most of the structure. An interesting explore but for people who don’t have a clue you could end up injuring themselves or killings themselves from falling debris or falling themselves etc .
If people just went there and just explored and not to any damage, they may have rebuilt it. It makes me really sad that people just disrespect places😢
Hey Rick, do your Urbexing first, than it is Beer Time, at home, nothing wrong with a few beers! Enjoy! I really enjoy your Urbexing Videos, keep up the good work!
The bathroom is "in contact" No it is intact. Video is great. Work on commentary. What makes these sort of videos interesting is knowledge of the building(s). And never say "I'm not goin in there y'all" Thats what would seperate you from the average person that has toured, filmed, and posted their videos of this place a hundred times. Take someone with you and really explore the nooks and crannies. This is video has been shot by a hundred people. Nothing new here. If you want attention do something nobody else has. Research the history. Inform the viewer. Then actually take the viewer with you afterward to have those beers you were talking about and recap the adventure. Then tell us about your next one. Sell it.

One of a kind explore! Lots of buildings to explore.
That glass work is amazing. Zoom into the center of the sky dome, sacred geometrical pattern. Very cool!
We have a historical hospital here too and all the buildings are rotting away. Its really sad because the buildings are gorgeous.

The room where the dome roof is is definitely not in great shape 😮
That place was constructed as a TB hospital.
You are correct!
I hope that someone saves that stained glass in the dome.
