Ah. I'm actually surprised you didn't also try out Clip Studio since they also have brushes that try and mimic traditional art. I'm in love with Clip's gouache brush - not because it does what real gouache does but because of the way it builds up as you keep using it and gets smoother and smoother.
Wow! I just recently made a video where I painted a watercolor painting of Pokémon! It’s one of those small world moments! Lol! Love this video! So fun!!!! I’ve definitely been feeling inspired by them too lately! Love this!
The texture and realistic flow of the paints looked amazing and the paints running into the "wet" areas was unreal! Loved the video and so did my kids, they LOVE Pokémon. 💜✌🏼

I've been using Artrage for 14 years. You dont have to manually enter the size you can slide it up and down by clicking the size area and holding while moving. it also looks like you might be using an older version. There's a Lot you can do with the program.
I'm willing to bet they just had a cd lying around that came with a Wacom tablet. I've still got the version that came with my Bamboo One, which I've been using as long as you have
@@Charky_Creations I didn't even know Wacom sent artrage out with it's tablets. One of my dad's coworkers had remembered him saying I liked to do art and they told him about it and he got it for me.

The amount of nostalgia I got when you brought up artrage. It was the first digital art program I ever used before I got my iPad (which I still used). I learned a lot from that program especially pen pressure. Thanks for bringing that entire part of my art life back up. Also I think there is a way to bring up the pen size without typing it but I don’t inherently remember since it’s been a long time since I actually acknowledged the program existed.
glad youre in my back recommended. i used to watch your abc3 show everyday and had an alarm clock go off five minutes before it aired, just so i could get a pencil and paper ready. i completely freaked out when i found out you had a youtube channel and would watch your videos nonstop. my parents had issues with each other at the time and your videos helped me have something else to focus on. thank you for making my childhood and inspiring me to become an artist
This looks awesome and I can learn so much on how to improve my digital art skills. Also the new Pokemon game is awesome. You know what would be cool...making Pokemon sculptures that are the size the pokedex says the Pokemon is. And then you can see how big some of the Pokemon actually are in scale to you! That would be awesome....
I've worked with a trial of rebelle paint before and I think it's really cool how there's a setting that affects the tilt of your canvas so you can achieve drip effects
Always love the videos where you mess around with established IPs, especially Pokémon. I've also been watching for years as just a viewer but now having just got a tablet I'm watching as a student and trying to pick up on any tips and tricks along the way!
Dang. I want to try out both of these programs now! I have the Kamvas 12 pro, and honestly I would never think about going back. I had a wacom and it's was fun, but the screenless display wasn't my speed. The new Kamvas looks great, it feels really endearing for you to be repeatedly sponsored by them. Adobe is great but just far far too expensive for a casual user. Subscription ruined it for me. Still running an old cs5 master collection on my old MacBook Pro. They really should release one time purchase options again. Might be time to investigate "other ways" of getting Adobe suites without the huge cost haha

Also, interested to see your take on Blender as painting / 2D animation application. You should try the new Grease Pencil which has grown to be a super cool tool in Blender in recent updates.
Wow, that tablet really is more affordable than I'd expected. Still out of my price range, esp since I haven't regularly done digital art for years, but so much better than when I was first getting into it around 2009.
Huion has some super affordable drawing tablets, if you go for one without a built in screen they have models for pretty much any budget. I got one on sale for $80
Yeah, unfortunately I can't even justify that kind of expenditure atm, given how rarely I do art anymore + having just dropped $60 on PLA. Will def remember huion if that changes, though, and look at jazza's recent vids when/if I do get one to see if they've sponsored him lately when such a time arrives 😂
I got Rebelle 3 through humble bundle but hadn't used it yet because I don't have a drawing tablet (I'm working on it). After watching this, I tried it out and was so excited to see the live brushes! So keen to try it out.

I've been waiting for fresco to come out on windows. A competent photoshop user can get a lot out of the brush engine, but the natural fx of fresco just looks straight up fun.

You must have a stack of huions somewhere in the office. I always know when they put out a new model because you will have a video. I got a much smaller more basic one and I have to say it's kinda difficult to work on. These look so nice.
Perhaps you can do a massive collab with lot of artists across different mediums such as North of the Border, Evan & Katelyn etc. to make a mix-medium mini-diorama. I think this would be epic, like 10-hundred's recent collab I think this would be a great idea!
Jazza, you can change the brush size in bottom left of Art Rage. You can also Shift leftclick and drag to resize. Only program I haven't used here is the last one. Very interested if it wasn't for it being Adobe (which I know is industry standard but as a small artist I cannot justify unfortunately).

Jazz I have to tell you that Rebelle can do all the watercolour watery effects too + very real oil effects. I don’t think you got into the program at all. You should try it again. It’s really good!
Could've done soo SO much more with Rebelle 5, man. You really didn't give it the justice it deserves. rebelles watercolors, when done correctly is even better than Frescos. I am guessing Jazza is still sponsored by Adobe and had to hype it up more, which is understandable if that's the case.
I agree, seemed like there was more effort put into Arceus, the background and everything. Hard to compare when one is just a better artwork but not due to the programme its just because more effort? Don't think its sponsored because it would have to be known in the video or description. But as someone who isn't familiar with using either programme its just unfortunate didn't get used to its full potential.

For the first five minutes of this video I was so confused what the sponsor for the video would be. Naturally it ended up being Huion, but for a moment I thought it was gonna be Nintendo/Pokémon. Turns out Jazza just really loves Pokémon to the point where it sounds like promo.
With Adobe Fresco you can also dry wet layers so if you are happy with the water color or paint drawing and don't want it to smudge you can try the layer.
The results are absolutely stunning! The reveals could have gotten a bit more screen time if you ask me. I know I could pause? But I like slow moving revealshots a lot more
