Colin Allred is soooooo unimpressive however we Texans have been wanting to get rid of Ted for an incredibly long time. He barely beat Beto, who was an obviously terrible candidate for every position he ran for, yet Cruz is so disliked that a moderate candidate could take him out. That poll is right because once Kamala entered the race people actually tuned back into the race. Colin used to be my congressman but now Jasmine Crocket is my congresswoman. I’ll be voting against Cruz because he’s really terrible for the state. It’s really bad when the only way to win is for people not to vote, when both Dems and Republicans equally see Cruz as the worst of the worst
These guys are talking her up.⬆️ They set the bar so low …. she hides in the basement, she is stupid …… then she comes out and front up and voters see her and to their surprise they find out she is not stupid ….. 😂😂
Totally agree. I don't know what this anchor wants Republicans to do. He also sounds worried about the election. He should just do his job and let the voters decide.
What a nonsensical response! Last time I checked, Biden won from his “basement,” and Trump didn't even participate in the Republican debates, yet he won. What does that show you? :)
Senate Republicans have had a complex relationship with Ted Cruz, and several factors contribute to their dislike of him: 1. Confrontational Style: Cruz is known for his aggressive and confrontational approach, often positioning himself as an outsider even within his own party. He has publicly criticized his Republican colleagues, accusing them of compromising too much with Democrats and the "establishment." This combative style has created friction, as many Senate Republicans prefer more collegial, behind-the-scenes negotiation. 2. Tactics on Government Shutdowns: Cruz led a push in 2013 to defund the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare), which resulted in a government shutdown. Many Senate Republicans viewed this tactic as reckless and counterproductive, believing it harmed the party's image and political standing without achieving any real policy goal. Cruz's refusal to back down or compromise left many of his colleagues frustrated. 3. Self-Promotional Behavior: Many Senate Republicans see Cruz as more focused on advancing his personal political career than on building relationships or achieving policy wins for the party. His frequent appearances on conservative media and high-profile speeches have been perceived as self-serving, aimed at rallying his base rather than working constructively within the Senate. 4. Lack of Collaboration and Trust: Cruz has often been seen as a lone wolf, unwilling to collaborate or compromise with his colleagues. He has been known to work outside the usual Senate channels, even going so far as to undercut fellow Republicans by coordinating with House conservatives or conservative interest groups. This has led to a perception that Cruz is untrustworthy and more interested in grandstanding than in legislating. 5. Personal Conflicts: Cruz has had several public and private clashes with fellow Republicans. For instance, in 2015, he called Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell a liar on the Senate floor, a rare and extreme breach of Senate decorum. Incidents like this have caused a number of his colleagues to view him with disdain or distrust. Overall, Cruz’s approach, which appeals to a certain segment of the conservative base, has often put him at odds with Senate Republicans who prioritize unity, pragmatism, and legislative effectiveness over ideological purity.
Cruz is awful, he needs to go. A Texan here voting BLUE!!! Also, I think Kamala is the perfect choice for President, a strong and very smart woman. She will protect women's rights. Look what Cruz has done to women in Texas, we no longer have the rights we used to. How can any woman vote for this horrible man?
President Trump approved $8.8 trillion of gross new borrowing and $443 billion of deficit reduction during his full presidential term. Where do you think all the inflation came from?
