My experience of the song is a bit different than yours. In this song I feel the march of time after someone dear and seminal to who you are has passed. There is a sense of how you wish you could demonstrate that despite the emptiness you are ok. Yes, the song centers around solitude with V in the mv experiencing many places and things alone. But to me the aloneness is just V artistically showing his grandmother who did much to raise him that he is ok. She is still inside him sleeping like a winter bear.

It’s a wonderful song which he explained at the time of its release was inspired by a very romantic scene in a favorite movie he watched on repeat, called About Time. It stars his then-favorite actress Rachel McAdams. The proposal scene in the film specifically appealed to him and became the inspiration for the notion of romance in wintertime. The song is on my holiday sings list. I recommend the film highly; so cozy and (bitter)sweet.

Tae was raised mainly by his grandmother, whose nickname for him was Bear. She died in 2016 while BTS were on tour and he was heartbroken. The mv footage was mostly captured during their Love Yourself world tour in 2019. Tae directed and I believe JK acted as cameraman for a lot of it. The edit feels like a combination of Tae’s lyricism and the experimental style of JK’s Golden Closet Films from that time. Yes, Tae is a keen photographer, going by the name Vante (a tribute to his photographer friend, Ante Badzim).

It’s a wonderful song which he explained at the time of its release was inspired by a very romantic scene in a favorite movie he watched on repeat, called About Time. It stars his then-favorite actress Rachel McAdams. The proposal scene in the film specifically appealed to him and became the inspiration for the notion of romance in wintertime. The song is on my holiday sings list. I recommend the film highly; so cozy and (bitter)sweet.

Tae was raised mainly by his grandmother, whose nickname for him was Bear. She died in 2016 while BTS were on tour and he was heartbroken.
The mv footage was mostly captured during their Love Yourself world tour in 2019. Tae directed and I believe JK acted as cameraman for a lot of it. The edit feels like a combination of Tae’s lyricism and the experimental style of JK’s Golden Closet Films from that time.
Yes, Tae is a keen photographer, going by the name Vante (a tribute to his photographer friend, Ante Badzim).

From my understanding, and I'm not sure where I heard it so feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. But I thought for sure that V had mentioned that his grandma had a nickname of a bear for him. Matter fact I think the whole family had bear names. When his grandmother passed away he was crushed he loved her dearly
