My favorite talisman choice is definitely the Shard of Alexander. The 15% boost to ashes of war is just too useful, especially when wielding my favorite weapon and using Fires of Slumber

I've unironically picked up "Whee!" every time I fish for backstabs or roll out of a scary situation and it genuinely helps keep the pvp mood light. Incredible, thank you for the life altering habit.

awesome fights, so much fun, thank you! i think my favorite thing about your videos is how much fun you're having. it's contagious. it makes it really fun to watch. :D i also have some additional feedback: along with the fights, i really appreciate the introductions. you give a ton of information clearly and concisely, and it never feels either rushed or dragging. i don't know if you script those introductions or improvise them, but in either case, they're so well done. last thing is a question: how do you perform the backstep that takes you around the back of the enemy? does it require you to unlock at just the right moment?

If you’re talking about the back step where I just kind of step backwards from in front of them to behind them, then yes, you have to be unlocked on hit the Dodge button, while not clicking a direction and quickly pull the analogue in the opposite direction you would like to go. If you push the analogue too quickly, you’re just going to roll in the direction you aim, and if you push it too late, you’re going to just do a natural back step the way your character was facing. The timing takes some getting used to but when you have it down its a lot of fun!
If you’re talking about the quick step where I kind of semicircle around the enemy, you need to be locked on and as close to the enemies face as possible and then when you click quick step you push right or left on the analogue and it will take you all the way around to the back!

First, a bonus: 5:30 blue rolled off but despawned before the gravity lord could claim him

15:45 bull goat 🐐 1567 damage. If you watch closely the bullgoat tried to block the arrow haha
36 gravity kills since march 9th totaling approx 30k damage

The dude attacking you when were spawning in, killing DougFunny and his phantom in like ten seconds, the poor dude who just ran away and cast healing incantations, "shun me!"... fantastic.

It also had some niche uses on top of the extra damage because the initial hits could proc tears and then the later hits would kill: ultras like the Astora Greatsword did 3 hits iirc so they were really good options for it

Please try a Serpentbone blade build. I've read that you can get obscene amounts of AR with it using the poison setup (mushroom crown + kindred of rot exultation talisman) and the multi hit talismans.
It has R2 that hits twice in quick succession, which builds the multi hit talisman buff very quickly. Would love to see you delete hosts with it.
Chase, for a build idea how about some dedicated powerstancing builds? Would love to see your take on some dual wielding.

have you ever considered a level 200 build where you MAX out vigor, wear both health talismans, and put crimsonspill in your physick flask? I don't know how useful this would be in practice, but on paper it leads to like 2500+ health which is very funy
You should do some more cosplay videos. Vyke loadout with madness spear/incantations and some red lightning would be fun to watch 😅

Hey chase, any way you'd make a video going over your thought process when invading? You get out of sticky 3v1 situations quite frequently, but whenever I get into the same situation, I die rather quickly despite trying to fight back, and separate them.
Trying to simply replicate your playstyle isn't enough.

Okay, kind of a Niche suggestion but it could be pretty funny - how about a PVE invasion build. Using Incantations like Golden Vow, Healing etc. and the Uplifting Aromatics to buff and heal the enemies in the hosts world and use them almost exclusively to fight.

It's a strength build so it has the highest AR, from what I recall crits ignore absorption so split damage is basically always a gain though buffs generally suck since they don't scale with motion value. I'm pretty sure it still goes through flat defenses so Sacred would be better than Flame Art on a Faith build since Holy is generally lower than Fire defense but realistically it probably doesn't matter that much

Do you farm all the arteria leaves you use for the good consumables? If not could you do a vid showing how you save edit to get them? I've always wanted to optimize but I know it's easy to get banned if you do it wrong.
He may just give himself the items with item giver.
Keep a backup of the base files in a separate folder, use grand merchant offline for all the items and save, quit the game and put the original files back and you're good to play online again. After that you can just back up your save if all you want to do is pvp and then you basically never have to worry about it. The anti-cheat in this game honestly doesn't exist offline and EAC is just a performance tank that does basically nothing useful
Chase genuine question here not just writing a heap of stuff to eventually mention the sleep torch 😂😂 I’ve been trying to play the game and levelling up various weapons because after watching a lot of your videos I’ve seen you seem to have your weapons all laid out in a nice way how do you do that when I try hot swap my weapons it takes ages to run down the list and find the ones that I want to use I’m on ps5 is their a way that you can pick the order in which you can organise your weapons the way you want them it’s my first souls game and I’m just starting to go into pvp but can’t figure out how to organise my weapons in the order I want them
Yes, when you’re in your weapon menu, click the left analogue stick and choose sort by acquisition. Now just place all your weapons in your grace weapon box and pull them out in the order you wish!

@@ChaseTheBrothis is a perfect solution I've adopted, but i do wish from soft added an option to manually move things. It gets complicated when you want seals, shields and staves, and need to shuffle thing in the box

Why exactly is an elemental dagger better than a physical?
I've actually stopped playing Elden Ring but really enjoy Chase's clips. Not sure how it is on console these days but on PC we're plagued by organised gank/ambush squads, bonfire duelists, terrible latency, cheaters, bug abusers (chainsaw mainly) and for some odd reason afk farmers are back in fashion. Last time I invaded I was actually met by a host, two phantoms AND a red all chasing me down. I vowed to never bother with that shit again, it's a sad state of affairs.
It's like that on all platforms. Has been for years. Might be less cheaters on console though, but everything else you mentioned is there. I find you run into more casual players at peak play times such as evenings, and definitely over the weekend. It's interesting how you can feel the expanded player pool based on time of day/week. You'll still have some bad luck though in-between.
@@legi0n47x I’d guess that 5/100 of my last invasions were people normal players, the vast majority are just trolls these days. I think seamless co-op took a fair amount of players out of the invasion pool and what we’re left with is the dregs of society lol
@@jamie3356 I think you're correct. I used to co-op a lot and if the host was one of the dregs I wouldn't help him. However, most of the invaders were just as big of dregs, or worse. I think that's because their experience for the most part are the type of players you speak of and they feel forced to do what they need to combat them. Before you know it you become the very thing you sought to destroy lol

The bubble reduces 90% damage. You still get chipped. A backstab chip is just more like a chunk. Chips, Chunks, now I want a cookie...
EDIT: Case in point: The very next backstab Chase did caused very nearly 10x the 92 damage of the bubble-backstab at 991 damage. Chase would have backstabbed their first victim with ~920 damage if they didn't have a bubble.
