Konami's pretty cheap. They re-use a lot of art work. The first Kaiba and Yugi mega tins take their artwork from the Battle City Duelist Pack.

Not really. They've been cashing in on the original YGO for awhile now. And Speed Duels are going through YGO DM. This was to be expected.
Now if this was a deck in the TCG, especially like the Marik/Yugi/Kaiba Structure Deck, then that would be amazing.

Still remember buying the structure deck Marik back in 2011 along with the Legendary Collection Binder

I f*kn love speed duels... havent played the old broken tcg in years because the lack of variance competitively over the years just.... eh.. but this is like a literal remake of the entire card game, but more carefully/ more intelligently.. havent bought cars in years... n now im buyin tourney packs for nice blue eyes with a little value, its like a sequel to a video game... love fingering through cards again... and just look forward to support packs for these n such..

So Speed Duels is basically how we played the game back in 2011 except with 4000 LP instead of 8000
I remember being 10 years old when Yugioh cards first came out in 2002. I'm 28 and I still miss playing. I get confused with all the current configurations.

Im 25 and we still play the original tcg. Speed duels is basically just a faster version its not bad tbh but I prefer the old way. 5 monster zones is cooler than 3

@@Gogeta2501 xyz and sychro are cool but they make the game end too quickly. No hate I use both xyz and sychro but sometimes I prefer an old fashioned long duel which imo requires more skill and I enjoy both players having to think of a strategy then having to come up with new one's when the previous strategy is foiled. Teaches the players to use their brains more. Also I really like the black on xyz cards they look so epic

I think I'd enjoy the speed duels, as its basically Duel Links for real life, and for the past couple years, I've preferred Duel Links over the TCG
I think that it would be awesome to add egiptian god cards in speed duels. They would be hard to summon and special once again! They shouldn't be too overpowered but it would be an awesome edition
Definitely agree on Match of the Millenium being better. They also gave them better staple cards. Although metal reflect slime will probably be obnoxious to deal with in the format
My favorite part of match of the millennium is when Yugi summons magician of black chaos and pegasus got so scared
If these Speed Duels sets sell well then perhaps Bakura and Marik will have new starter decks made, who knows? Still those decks do look cool. :)
I love the quality of these cards (The glossy look) They also look more resistant. Too bad the original cards were not print the same way. :P
StonedRaccoon86 i got the wevil and rex speed duel decks and when i saw the glossy look and the sturdier card paper i immediately bought every seed duel deck. literally everyone of them. and a few booster boxes. I prefer these cards alot more than the others and i love og yugioh so its great for me

HD Vision Yes to me the normal tcg cards are more flexible and just weaker stock of paper and give alot easier. The speed duels cards have a noticeable difference to them. They have a sheen and Thicker stock of paper which just makes it feel sturdier than normal cards. However there really isnt a big difference. Just a noticeable improvement.
HD Vision If you are interested in these i recommend choosing and buying a speed duel structure deck from amazon to see what i mean. Also its just a nice flashback to the past, opening up fresh og cards which some weren't even released in the og tcg until speed duels came out so i think its pretty neat.

Dang, I was hoping Revival Jam and blue eyes toon dragon were gonna be in these. I know blue eyes toon doesn’t have much of an effect, but he’s still my favorite toon.
A bit lazy that they reused the same images of the Yugi and Pegasus Skill cards from the previous Starter Decks.
Being honest, the Pegasus one is the only one that interests me. Because of the Toon cards. There's nothing interesting in the Marik and Bakura one, and the Yugi one is like the 10,000th reprint of those cards,
There is no more cards in 3 decks in oke bcs those 3 decks were 20card decks and this 2 were 31 card ones
Speed duels got me back into Yu-Gi-Oh face paced easy cards to teach others it's ideal! Now let's hope Konami support it.
the pegasus speed duel cards definetly helped me improve my pegasus deck
Was kinda hoping they’d get some of Bakura’s cards from the final season of Duel Monsters. The only card of his from that season that ever got printed was Diabound Kernel.
I think the Marik an bakura desks are cool. The others ones seem decent but I don’t know why they released them when the first set of these starter decks had both characters. I would of rather seen like ESPA roba and mako.
It's pretty cool how you get a little over 30 cards per duelist. They're almost full sized decks, but really meant for fans of early Duel Monsters. Really cool.
I don’t know if there would be backlash, but I wonder if they would experiment with making new cards and introducing them through a speed duel starter deck/core set.
Most likely, the card wouldn’t be very useful in the tcg, but it might be kind of cool to see what they would do.

I might still get the decks anyway, but I still agree with you: you don't just want too many vanilla monsters or monsters with halfway decent effects. But since you can use the speed duel cards in a regular duel, you should be able to make something work out for you.
I love the fact that they are finally releasing old vanilla monsters that have been ocg exclusives for ages. Looking forward to "30.000 years white turtle"
Andrea Torriglia yeah, I never always got why even some monsters, or even back row cards as well, never came into the TCG in the first place. The good thing is you can use speed duel cards in your regular deck, and I love to synchro, link, and XYZ summon a lot so they're good for material fodder.

I feel like the next set for speed duels is going to be focused around Both bakura and marik what konami should do is add exclusive characters that aren’t in duel links to speed duels like Noah and normal Marik or even Rebecca
Are you sure about that? Nothing is known about Marik's deck and Rebecca and Noah are characters from filer arcs that almost nobody likes.

after all these years, we are getting a Yami Marik deck, back in my highschool days I imported a Japanese yami marik deck and couldn't understand doodley squat, I might buy it just for Marik but I think if I ever get back into yu-gi-oh, it will be through the switch game cause that's easier than buying the cards.

Me and my friends are competitive Yu-Gi-Oh players and i wanted to find a less competitive option because you know.... its
Yu-Gi-Oh... We all know how much it costs. but I'm a budget player and my friends aren't. But so my question is do you think i should try and introduce them to speed duels? Or maybe wait to see if we get rush duels over here? I honestly don't think i could get them to try both XD.

A couple of things just came to me this Morning I guess the Reason I didn't see it is because of how I feel about Speed Duals. But anyways Those Pegues's And Yami Yugi's Decks Really Reminds me of the Yami Yugi and Seto Kiba Reloaded Decks Respectively that Came out way back when, Not only they were the Third Set to Come out for there Respective Games, but also they are Meant to Improve Upon there Respective Original Character Decks. And the second thing is that it is So Nice that they Are Giving you more Big Bad Options or More Options for to Play as the Shows Big Bad Just in case you are Feeling a little Villainess or Evil. And I Guess the Third Unspoken thing is that it So Nice hat they are starting to Release More Extra Deck Monsters. Well Fusions at least.

Fewer decks, more cards in each deck. I think you get the same amount of cards. I wish they stuck to twenty so it was consistent but well can't be mad cause speed dueling is pretty nice.
