Everything looks great, and great ideas, but when it comes to safety safety becomes #1 first priority I would suggest to install heavy duty safety shackles where the straps are hold and the the shackles have to be installed to the chassis the strongest part of the trailer, you see when towing there is no room for mistakes
It’s been pretty awesome. Didn’t use it for a bit because I broke my car, but just took it out last weekend for a solo trip to the track, and it was great.
@@RobRabonPhotog yup. Never knew that style was ever made. I seen one that lowers flet to the ground to move heavy machines like lathes and mills but i dont think it was cable operated. What do you do if your winch or battery dies and its down? Lmao.
Worst purchase i have done. Bought the 18'. Snapped the wire twice. Broke the wind deflector brackets and license plate holder due to vibration. Be very careful. Main lifting winch Snapped with a mk4 supra and a gs300.
This thing is seriously a gigantic pile of garbage. We have one, purchased new, and it has had structural failures, multiple winch failures, the front air dam disintegrated, bolts constantly loosening and falling out, the winch sucked the electrical wires in and caused a major short circuit, incorrectly wired lights, and more. Absolutely zero accountability or interest in resolving any of these issues from Timpte.
Thanks! They were made by a company called TMI. They’re custom foam and putters that replace the factory skins and foam and reuses the factory frame. Pretty neat stuff and maintain power adjustments and heat.
That moment, after buying a brand new trailer to tow car, when you realize the car doesn't go up on the deck and the doors won't clear the fenders. Dooh... Maybe take the car to the trailer dealer before buying a trailer next time. I would take that trailer right back to where you bought it and leave it there.

That sound it makes when raising and lowering would be a dealbreaker for me.
I'm looking at buying a new trailer as well but I think I like aluma tilt trailer better amd suggestions
Where did you buy the trailer. I'm also in maryland.
Very cool. what is the trailer weight?
a year later, how's it holding up?

Aluminum trailers ftw! Sucks ya had to modify it already hahah
I look at it as making improvements. Lol.
Same brand as my brothers 40ft aluminum semi grain hopper semi trailer. Lol
Nice! I saw that they make a lot of big stuff for agriculture when I was doing research.

I usually carry jumper cables to the track. And if the which fried, I can use a Jack to put it in position and lock it in with the pics.
‘Pins
Damnnnn that’s badass
I love it. Almost feel like it’s too fancy, but I’m getting too old to fight uhual trailers to make low cars fit. Lol.
@@RobRabonPhotog I just wanna know, is your job hiring?! I need a fancy trailer like that 🤣
It was mostly from Volvo and wheel sales, but the day job is hiring now that you mention it. Lol.
