  • Our Ram Promaster Scout front bumper fits 2013+ models and only requires a few small cuts on the front bumper, allowing you to still keep the factory sides of the front bumper. This bumper is a great solution to either add a winch to your van or to give it a stealthy, rugged look.

    Features:
    - Steel construction
    - Mounts directly to frame using 2 steel frame mounts
    - 2 steel shackle mounts for D rings or recovery point
    - Sits almost flush with factory bumper
    - Flat upper surface to mount lighting
    - Accepts winches 8" or smaller in height (or winches with removable solenoid)
    - For winch applications, you will most likely need to extend the wiring of your solenoid as there is not space inside the bumper (see photo for solenoid relocation)
    - Front 2" receiver hitch
    - Airflow cutouts to retain factory engine cooling
    - 2 large cutouts for winch access and winch line visibility
    - Accepts hawse or roller winch fairleads
    - Black textured powder coat finish
    THIS PRODUCT IS FOR OFFROAD USE ONLY

    Anyone wondering if this will fit on a 2022 promaster 3500 with the 9 speed trans it does . I have a solis 59px. Use it for snowmobiling and pulling wave runners out of the water so now I have a peace of mind knowing I can get myself out of a jam. I did not have the cooling lines that had to be moved. So that part was easier but I did cut the bottom bumper shroud support off the oem bumper and re used it to support all the lower plastics. I got a 12000 lbs traveler winch. Moved control box up out of the way.

      I have a Roadtrek same chassis year with you, but it has under hood generator which I’m not sure if it can fit in this bumper 😅

    Do you know if this will work with Roadtrek Zion which had under-hood generator?

    Be careful you don't overheat your engine. Your lights block airflow through the radiator.

      Appreciate the tip! We've tested this van and driven it 12+ hours ourselves with no issues. In the Colorado mountains as well. We have built in large airflow/winch access holes in the bumper itself, and so far, the lights haven't affected any temperatures.

      @@BackwoodsAdventureMods In Florida or Texas, you have serious cooling issues. Be aware the Promaster temp gauge is a happy gauge - its not even close to being accurate.

    I like that van wrap. Where can I get the design? It gives me Husqvarna Norden 901 vibes.

    Very nice, there seems to be a slit between the new bumper and the front facia on either side. Is there any whistling or wind noise going down the road?

    This looks great and ready to buy one. What is the suggested load rating for the winch mount?

    • @BackwoodsAdventureMods
      @BackwoodsAdventureMods  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! We can't suggest an official load rating because of the rigorous amount of testing and certification we would have to do, however we have seen customers support things like e bikes or small motorcycles. Hope that helps.

    This is a great design! Can this also work with bull/brush guards designed to fit the promaster?

    • @BackwoodsAdventureMods
      @BackwoodsAdventureMods  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! We apologize for the delay. We have not verified that it will fit, but it does have adequate clearance. You may need to get crafty with the mounting.

    What about the front bumper sensors ?

  • @SoCalSurfer69

    I don’t understand why on a pro master. It’s not 4x4 or really have clearance for off-road other than fire roads.

    what about the front license plate? aren't those required in Colorado?

    • @BackwoodsAdventureMods
      @BackwoodsAdventureMods  ปีที่แล้ว

      You can purchase a fairlead license plate bracket that most people use. It flips up and down over the winch using the fairlead bolts.

    Do you have a video on wiring the winch ?

    • @BackwoodsAdventureMods
      @BackwoodsAdventureMods  ปีที่แล้ว

      We do not since there are many different ways to do so depending on your particular winch and set up.

    Bumper is sweet but those lights are obnoxious. A White light bar would have looked and performed so much better.

    • @erikaamac2727
      @erikaamac2727 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Amber lights have a temperature of about 2500 to 4000 kelvins, a decent value for human eyesight. They are better than white fog lamps as they have a low refraction rate, and they have a more extended reach.

    why is jeep bumper that is way bigger and more cost less than half metal center bumper.. vanlife price gouging is real

    • @BackwoodsAdventureMods
      @BackwoodsAdventureMods  ปีที่แล้ว

      Most Jeep bumpers are very cheaply made and very easy to fabricate.

    Would the added weight cause the front end to sag a bit?

    • @privatesector0422
      @privatesector0422 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Of course not it's barely anything plus the suspension is built to handle this type of weight including much more before sagging...

    Yeah because the front end of my promaster isn’t heavy enough 😂
